TRANSCRIPT
Two great traditions are about to .lllerge to form an even greater tomon-ow. Just as the Mississippi and Missoun Rivers join to form the great Father of Waters and sweep toward the sea, so Will Immaculate Conception Academy and St. Ainbrose Academy join to fulfill a new and greater destiny for the Catholic people of this coinmumty through the creation of Assuinption High School. Mary, the Queen of Heaven, interceded With her Son, Christ the King, that the next 100 years might be as fruitful and good as the past 99 Years. Grant that they who are the last of the glorious line of teachers at I. C. A. and St. Ainbrose Acadeiny may now become the Pioneers in the new. May history extol their deeds and their sacrifices a hundred years from now.
The Ln.lllaculate Conception Academy and St. Ambrose Academy have fulfilled their sublime and nobel destinies; long live Assuinption HiJ{h School.
Take fro.Ill the Immaculate Conception Academy's 1958 Graduation Address by Msgr, Maunce Dingman, cun-ently Bishop Dingman, Diocese of Des Moines.

A Knights Prayer
My Lord, I am ready on the threshold of this new day to go forth armed with thy power, seeking adventure on the high road, to right wrong, to overcome evil, to suffer wounds and endure pain if need be, but in all things to serve thee bravely, faithfully, joyfully, that at the end of the days labor, kneeling for thy blessing, thou may find no blot upon my shield. The theme for Turnabout this year was, "All Knight Long". The dance was held in the Cafeteria on Sat. 1 Jan. 3 1 from 8-11.
The King and His Court were announced at 10:00, with the worthy Steven Maller accepting his crown, (upper right). The other members of his court, (center), were: Eugene McGivern, Andrew Spellitich, Timothy Whitehead, James Bush, and Roberto Lopez. Additional nominees included: Kevin Perry I Richard Siegfried, John Gusta, Joseph Regano and Craig Balzer.
The dance was chaperoned by parents and faculty. Of course Mr. Sunderbruch and Mr. Miller were on hand, ready for any difficulties that might arise.
Natty Scratch provided the music, (lower center), while all present danced to their hearts content, (preceding page, lower left). Turnabout 76 proved to be a very successful event. Just ask the young men who had the pleasure of being escorted!

The Spaghetti Supper, this year was a big sucess despite the unplanned weather. Serving time was from 3:30 to 8:30 on Sunday, Jan. 25 . The day began with a mass, the spaghetti making and a variety of chores needed for a sucessful event .
The faculty chairmen, who deserve a lot of credit, were Fr . Phillips & Mrs. DeVries.

A.H.S. FUND DRIVE
During the 1974-75 year the students of Assumption pledged $25, 000 to the fund drive headed by Mr. Jim Figge. They met $19,000 of that pledge with a car raffle. This year (75-76) the students plan to meet this figure through similar events.

Bye Bye Birdie was the play chosen for this years musical as the highpoint of the dramatic season. The large cast under the direction of Dave Watson began rehearsal in early January to perfect their skills.
With Jim Steward taking the roll of Conrad Birdie, the play begins with a group of girls screaming at the sight of Birdie. As a take off on Elvis Presley, Birdie is the famed rock singer who has everything it take to catch the crowds. The only problem is he is drafted into the army. His farewell to the world is a good-bye kiss to one of his fan club members, Kim, played by Barb Bushur, who lives in Sweetapple, Ohio.
Birdie becomes disgusted with life and lives it up out on the town with the town's teenagers. His agent, Albert Peterson Uim Bush) and secretary (Cindy Czupka) find the situation rather frustrating.

There i omething irre i tably fascinating about the Future . Tho we dwell in the pre ent, yet we forever live in the Future, drawn on by ome strange compulsion like the oceans that re pond to the tides. It must be that the Future is more than the unrevealed, the unhappened, the undisclosed; el ea little discovery would satisfy the soul. o, the Future is divinity'd laboratory where the ideal is being converted into the real. We are lured to this laboratory by the call for helpers whereby we may join our little live with great is ue . far-flung visions, tupendou cau e . Tho we are here today and vanquished on the morrow, till the cau e we have helped make real and live among men from out the shadow-land of the ideal, will give u enough confidence to tru t for further realization whatever the Future holds within its secret bosom .
Quench not the Lure of the Future . It is the gateway to a life of insight, understanding, erenity and peace!

Two great traditions are about to merge to form an even greater to.morrow. Just as the M':issiSSippi and Missouri Rivers join to form the great Father of Waters and sweep toward the sea, so Will .bnlllaculate Conception Academy and St . Ambrose Academy join to iulfill a new and greater destiny for the Catholic people of this community through the creation of AsSU.mPtion High School. Mary, the Queen of Heaven, interceded With her Son, Christ the K.ing, that the next 100 Years might be as fruitful. and good as the Past 99 Years. Grant that they Who are the last of the glorious line of teachers at I. C. A. and St. Ainbrose Academy may now becOll:le the Pioneers in the new. May history extol their deeds and their sacrifices a hundred Years from now.
The .bnmacuiate Conception Academy and St. Ambrose Acaderny
have fulfilled their sublime and nobel destinies; long live ASSUnJ.ption Hi$!h School .
Take irorn the .bnrnaculate Conception Acaderny•s 19S8 Graduation Address by ¼gr. Maurice Dingman , currently Bishop Ding.man, Diocese of Des Moines.
