CARE OF THE SICK - Please inform us when a parishioner is confined at home, admitted to a nursing home or a hospital. CUIDADO DE LOS ENFERMOS - Por favor infórmenos si conoce de algún feligrés incapacitado(a) en su casa, hospitalizado o en un asilo de ancianos.
BAPTISM - (English) The process for infant baptism and children under 7 years old is as follows: Parent(s) call the office to request an appointment. In that appointment the whole process will be explained. Godparents must be praccing Catholics, be over 16 years of age, and have the Sacraments of Bapsm, First Communion and Confirmaon and live their lives according to the teachings of Christ and His Church. Godparents can be single. If the person has a partner, he/she must be married by the Church. Free union or civil marriage is not enough. Proof of Confirmaon and Marriage by the Church. The godparents must bring their Confirmaon, and Church Marriage cerficate (if they are married). When all relevant documents are received the dates will be given to aend the Bapsmal Parent Class, the Presentaon in the Church, the class for parents and godparents and the date of the bapsm.

En esa cita se explicará todo el proceso. En estas catequesis hablaremos de la fe en Dios, de la Buena Noticia del cristianismo, del perdón de Dios en la vida de pareja, del matrimonio en las Escrituras, de la sexualidad conyugal, de la paternidad responsable, de la educación de los hijos, de la misión de la familia cristiana en la sociedad, etc. Este curso está diseñado para ayudar a las parejas de
novios, a los que conviven pero aún no están casados por la Iglesia, y a los que ya están casados pero desean renovar su relación. ¡Vengan y escuchen!

ASH WEDNESDAY: FEBRUARY 17TH 2021 Following the instrucons from the Holy See and the Archdiocese of Boston, the distribuon of ashes will occur as follows: The priest will bless the ashes with holy water and will say the words “Repent and believe in the Gospel” once. Then the priests and the ministers, pung on their face masks, will proceed to sprinkle the ashes on the top of each person’s head, in silence. Distribung the ashes on top of the head is a common way of distribung the Ashes in many countries, including the Vacan. The minister will not touch the person. Everyone must wear a mask. We want to emphasize the meaning of the ashes: an outward sign of what we hope is an interior disposion for conversion, sorrow for sins and a desire to turn away from sin and towards the Lord. Aware that many people might not be able to parcipate this year on Ash Wednesday because of the pandemic, we will exceponally allow the distribuon of packets of ashes, to the families who have a family member at home who is unable to come to the celebraon of Ash Wednesday.
MIÉRCOLES DE CENIZA: 17 FEBRERO 2021 Siguiendo las instrucciones de la Santa Sede y la Arquidiócesis de Boston, la distribución de cenizas ocurrirá de la siguiente manera: el sacerdote bendecirá las cenizas con agua bendita y dirá las palabras “Arrepiéntanse y crean en el Evangelio” una vez. Luego los sacerdotes y los ministros, poniéndose la mascarilla, procederán en silencio a hacer la imposición de las cenizas sobre la cabeza de cada uno. La distribución de las cenizas sobre la cabeza es una forma común de distribuir las cenizas en muchos países, incluido el Vacano. El ministro no tocará a la persona. Todos deben usar mascarilla. LENTEN FASTING & ABSTINENCE Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are obligatory days of fasting and abstinence for Catholics. In addition, Fridays during Lent are obligatory days of abstinence.
For members of the Latin Catholic Church, the norms on fasting are obligatory from age 18 until age 59. When fasting, a person is permitted to eat one full meal, as well as two smaller meals that together are not equal to a full meal. The norms concerning abstinence from meat are binding upon members of the Latin Catholic Church from age 14 onwards.
AYUNO Y ABSTINENCIA CUARESMAL El Miércoles de Ceniza y el Viernes Santo son días obligatorios de ayuno y abstinencia para los católicos. Además, los viernes durante la Cuaresma son días obligatorios de abstinencia.

ASH WEDNESDAY: FEBRUARY 17TH 2021 Following the instrucons from the Holy See and the Archdiocese of Boston, the distribuon of ashes will occur as follows: The priest will bless the ashes with holy water and will say the words “Repent and believe in the Gospel” once. Then the priests and the ministers, pung on their face masks, will proceed to sprinkle the ashes on the top of each person’s head, in silence. Distribung the ashes on top of the head is a common way of distribung the Ashes in many countries, including the Vacan. The minister will not touch the person. Everyone must wear a mask. We want to emphasize the meaning of the ashes: an outward sign of what we hope is an interior disposion for conversion, sorrow for sins and a desire to turn away from sin and towards the Lord. Aware that many people might not be able to parcipate this year on Ash Wednesday because of the pandemic, we will exceponally allow the distribuon of packets of ashes, to the families who have a family member at home who is unable to come to the celebraon of Ash Wednesday.
MIÉRCOLES DE CENIZA: 17 FEBRERO 2021 Siguiendo las instrucciones de la Santa Sede y la Arquidiócesis de Boston, la distribución de cenizas ocurrirá de la siguiente manera: el sacerdote bendecirá las cenizas con agua bendita y dirá las palabras “Arrepiéntanse y crean en el Evangelio” una vez. Luego los sacerdotes y los ministros, poniéndose la mascarilla, procederán en silencio a hacer la imposición de las cenizas sobre la cabeza de cada uno. La distribución de las cenizas sobre la cabeza es una forma común de distribuir las cenizas en muchos países, incluido el Vacano. El ministro no tocará a la persona. Todos deben usar mascarilla. LENTEN FASTING & ABSTINENCE Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are obligatory days of fasting and abstinence for Catholics. In addition, Fridays during Lent are obligatory days of abstinence.
For members of the Latin Catholic Church, the norms on fasting are obligatory from age 18 until age 59. When fasting, a person is permitted to eat one full meal, as well as two smaller meals that together are not equal to a full meal. The norms concerning abstinence from meat are binding upon members of the Latin Catholic Church from age 14 onwards.
AYUNO Y ABSTINENCIA CUARESMAL El Miércoles de Ceniza y el Viernes Santo son días obligatorios de ayuno y abstinencia para los católicos. Además, los viernes durante la Cuaresma son días obligatorios de abstinencia.
Para los miembros de la Iglesia de rito latino, las normas son obligatorias desde la edad de 18 años hasta los 59.
