Our core philosophy is to share experience, inspire ground-breaking work and connect talent with filmmakers and producers, fostering both creativity and business development.

The Festival runs for 3 days in October, hosted at the grand and historic Regents University, in the heart of Regents Park.

Over the three day festival, we deliver over 130 events - a mix of keynote speeches, seminars, workshops, networking opportunities and training sessions.

LIVE AND ONLINE SCRIPT SCHOOL

We keep the festival alive year round with our online delegate network where we also share filmed sessions.


PITCHING THURSDAY

A week of workshops culminate in a Pitching Thursday, offering more indepth training.


TAKE ACTION INITIATIVES

Unique initiatives to get writers writing, and their work produced. ’50 Kisses’ resulted in 2,500 screenplays being written and 135 films produced.


COMMUNITY

In feedback, one of the most important factors for delegates is a sense of community, networking and social meetups.


BRITISH SCREENWRITERS AWARDS 2015

The first annual British Screenwriters’ Awards took place in 2014, celebrating and platforming both great screenwriting and emerging talent.

The 2014 festival attracted over 850 attendees, a 20% increase on 2013. We project a similar increase in 2015 having already sold 250 passes in the seven days after LSF 2014.
