SCHOOL NEWS
Good afternoon everyone!
Week 8 is almost done and dusted. Another action packed week at LPS! Production practice is in full swing, with whole school rehearsals happening this week. It’s been great for all staff to see each other’s performances and provide an opportunity to polish up some of the finer details of their on stage time!
We also had students represent our school at the Premiers Spelling be in Deniliquin! Congratulations to Luke, Larissa, Aiden & Sydney. Nothing but positive reports and congratulations to all, in particular Sydney and Aiden on their top 10 performances, with Aiden finishing 6th and Sydney finishing in 7th place.
This is also the first week to share some ways to show gratitude to others. They are very simple, but also very simple to forget!
So…here goes – over this weekend, make a deliberate effort to:
- Give compliments & mean them. How often do you give compliments at the moment? I know it isn’t something I do a great deal. It’s something that takes a very short time, but makes a big difference in someone else’s day.
- Make eye contact. I completely understand how busy balancing the work/life balance can be, but deliberately stopping what I am doing and making eye contact during a conversation is a sign to the other person you are present. I am guilty of this a lot with my kids, often asking them a question, then getting caught up with another task I need to complete. Eye contact – again, something simple, but important to allocate a few minutes to doing.
That’s all for now, have a great Friday and a better weekend. See you all soon,
Brett

RETURNING NOTES HOME TO THE OFFICE
Return dates are placed on permission notes to allow staff time to plan and finalise numbers prior to the excursion.
The office needs to relay attendance details to staff prior
to any activity taking place. Returning your note on time with all details complete will avoid
disappointment, as your child may miss out if the office hasn’t had adequate opportunity to relay the information.
Please endeavour to return your note by the stated final date.
Online Newsletter We hope that you are enjoying our new
electronic communication.
