The first 8 days are with the same program as the 9 day tour.

• Day 9 Palm Sunday Walk & Bethlehem

Walk the traditional Palm Sunday rout from Bethany – home of Martha, Mary and Lazarus whom Jesus raised from the dead, to Bethphage where traditionally Jesus mounted a donkey to continue his entry into Jerusalem.

Continue over the top of the Mount of Olives past the chapel of the Ascension, to the church of Peter Noster where the Lord’s Prayer is displayed in many different languages, and Dominus Flevit with its tear-drop shaped dome, traditionally where Jesus wept over Jerusalem.

Walk down to the Garden of Gethsemane at the foot of the hill, to visit the Church of the Agony and see the ancient olive trees.

In the afternoon, drive to Bethlehem where the Church of the Nativity is built over the traditional site of Jesus’ birth.

Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem / Bethlehem.

• Day 10 The Negev

Drive south into the desert to Beersheba, an important market town and capital of the Negev. It is important in Jewish history, known as the City of the Patriarchs.

Continue to Arad, which is one of the country’s best examples of an early Bronze Age city.

Return through the breathtaking wilderness landscapes to Jerusalem.

• Day 11 The New City

Tour modern Jerusalem: visit the Shrine of the Book – part of the Israel Museum, where some of the Dead Sea Scrolls are displayed. See the Knesset – the Israeli Parliament Building and the Israel Museum.

In the afternoon, visit Ein Karem –a small peaceful village just outside of the city, where John the Baptist was born.

End the day with a visit to the moving Holocaust Memorial at Yad Veshem.

You will be transferred to Tel Aviv’s Ben- Gurion

airport for your return
