Except for the grammar sections,each unit can be studied independently according to the student`s needs. Section F of eachunit (Language in use) are also of high importance as they prepare the learner for directinteraction with foreigners. The final unit introduces the students to a special topic - theEuropean Union, which will definitely influence their future career one way or another.Therefore, broadly speaking, the overall objective of the textbook/ course is to turnintermediate students into high intermediate and advanced ones so that they could deal withEnglish for Special Purposes in the next semester/year(s) of study. At the end of this course,the learner will be able to talk fluently on every day life topics, to understand a written text inEnglish of average difficulty, to use correctly the most important English grammar structuresas well as to produce different functional written texts (a Curriculum Vitae, an applicationletter, a formal and informal letter, etc), to use language in specific situations (making,accepting, refusing an invitation, giving, asking for information and directions, narrating,starting a conversation, introducing people and even making smalltalk).Lista subiectelor posibile1.
