PROGRAM REQUIREMENTSThe M.S. in Educational Psychology with a concentration in ABA includes 12 courses (36 credits) that emphasize the principles of learning and the applications of evidence-based behavioral strategies to promote academic, social-emotional, and behavioral success for all learners. The program may be completed on a full-time or part-time basis. It takes two years to complete the program on a full-basis.

The Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis (CABA) includes seven courses (21 credits) that address the foundational knowledge and skills required to provide effective behavior analytic services. The certificate is an option only for individuals who have a prior master’s degree in behavior analysis, education, or psychology. Coursework may be completed on a full-time or part-time basis.

Both programs include a sequence of courses verified by the BACB to meet the educational requirements for BCBA certification. Completion of these educational requirements constitutes only partial fulfillment of the credentialing requirements. Eligibility for the BCBA credential also requires 1500 hours of supervised independent fieldwork and a passing score on the national certification examination. Supervised experiences may be completed concurrent with coursework, but must be arranged independent of the University. Information about the BCBA credentialing requirements may be obtained from bacb.com.
