Infinite divine wisdom—The sage who showed the future

Un Told story of Sri Pothuluri Veera Brahmam.

Head of the Papagni Mutt, Chikballapur, Karnataka, was on a pilgrim-

age with his wife. The couple visited the Sage Atri Ashram, and Sage

Atri gave the child to the couple. They received the child as a divine gift

and returned to Papagni Mutt. The child was named 'Veeram Bhotlaiah'.

Veerambhotliah at Papagni Mutt authored the Kalikamba Sapthashathi

(the manuscript written in praise of goddess Kali) at the age of 11. A

few days later, Veerabhojayacharya made a sacrifice and Veerambhot-

layya told his stepmother that he had refused to take homage respon-

sibilities and started his spiritual journey.

In 17th Century society was not like today there was Many inequalities

interms of caste, religion, creed, ignorance, superstitions rampant in

every where especially in rural areas of southern india. Being a spritual

Guru veerabrahmam started his journey to wipe out all the above in

the society.

Brahman Garu joined Garimireddy Achchamma's house as a cowherd in

Banaganapalle mandal in Kurnool district and wrote prophecy

(KALAGNANAM)in Ravvalakonda. Knowing the glory of BrahmaM, the

Achamma prays to give sight to her blind son Brahmananda Reddy.

Brahmam with his divine vision, visited the sins of the past life of

Brahmananda Reddy, gave him sight .

The palm-leaf texts written while sitting in the cave are still preserved

in the monastery.

Sivakotayya Charyas was from viswa brahmana community did not

believe in Bramham at first but later believed and asked him to give his

daughter to him and marry him. Bramham agreed and married.

Life comes from

the Spirit. Even as

a man casts a

shadow, so the

Spirit casts the

shadow of life,

and, as a shadow

of former lives, a

new life comes to

this body.

Un Told story of Sri Pothuluri Veera Brahmam.

The Nawab of Banaganapalle heard of Brahmami and called him

to find out for himself whether he was truly glorious or not. He

instructed the servant in advance to bring him meat. At the

Nawab's command, the servant placed a plate full of meat in front

of the Brahmangari When he said that he would receive breakfast

if he removed the robe from the plate, the servant did as well.

The fact that the meat on the plate turned into flowers amazed

them. With this incident the Nawab became confident in his glo-

ries and praised him in many ways.

Finally bramham settled at kandhimallaya pallem and did carpen-

ter work.

The Nawab of Hyderabad came to know about Brahmam and sent

an invitation to come. The Brahmam went to the Nawab. First the

Nawab met and said that 'I have heard that you are a great sage

I do not believe in divinity, I can believe in any glory. ' The Brah-

mam immediately asked for water to be brought in a bowl , with

water brought by servant brahmam lit the lamp with the water.

Nawab accepted Brahmam as great divine master. The Nawab

asked for enlightenment.

The Brahmam garu acted beyond the castes of any of the Vedic

religions. He made the Saidhulu of the Dudekula community his

disciples. He admired his high feelings and devotional care and

made him his favorite disciple and gave him many high teachings.

He popularly named as siddaiah. He did many unique teachings

especially for Siddaiah.

His first disciple was Dudekula Siddaiah. People started listening

to Veerambhotlaya's chanting and philosophical poems, and as a

sign of respect they called him 'Sri Madvirat Pothuluri Veera Brah-

mendra Swami'.

The miracles he performed were innumerable

he named as Koranki. As in case of Nostradamus, French astrologer who

is often quoted about predicting many wars, pandemics and geographical

changes – Pothuluri Veerabrahmendra Swamy’s predictions are also

mostly about perceptions and conclusions that each one draw for them-

selves.

They could be wrong, they could be too riddled with old school thinking

but they show us that Veerabrahmendra understood humans and geogra-

phy much better than then or now humans. He is credited for predicting

the rule of British over India and a person called Gandhi helping Indians

to overturn them. He also talked about waging wars between communi-

ties and countries. He made pre-

dictions that seem very un-

friendly to some communities in

India and sections as well.

He is one who professed and

practiced all that he was preach-

ing at that time, an idol and a

beloved leader of the masses.

Having sacrificed his entire life

for the welfare of the society,

remaining in the selfmade tomb forever-an embodiment of virtues and

great principles in the life-and-that is Sri Pothuluri Veerabrahmendra

Swamy.

The sacred place where the Swamiji went into exile, the self-made tomb

in which he went into deep meditation is called “Sri Pothuluri Veerabrah-

mendra Swamy Mattam” (Kandimallayapalli, Kadapa Dist.)...

HOW TO REACH :-

By Road: Kandimallayapalle is located 60 km from Kadapa. It is well con-

nected by road.

VERTICAL FARMING

W I S D O M C H R O N I C L E

In vertical farming, crops are grown indoors, under artificial conditions

of light and temperature. Crops are grown indoors, under artificial con-

ditions of light and temperature. It aims at higher productivity in

smaller spaces. It uses soil-less methods such as hydroponics, aq-

uaponics and aeroponics.

Vertical farming uses significantly less water and pesticides than tradi-

tional agricultural methods. Being indoors, the crops aren't subject to

seasons and hence give high productivity year-round. Lettuces, toma-

toes and green crops can be produced through this practice.

Since the crops are safe and sound in a highly-controlled environment,

the entire harvest won't get affected by extreme weather events like

hurricanes, droughts or floods, unlike outdoor farming. Third, they

consume less water. Vertical farms use a minimal amount of water

compared to normal farms.

P A G E 7

Japan has been one of the early pioneers in vertical farming. It holds

the largest share in the global vertical farming market. In Japan,

vertical farming is born out of necessity where traditional farming is

losing its face due to ageing population and rural migration.

What is grown in vertical farms?

Corn, okra, Brussels sprouts, and sunflowers are ideal candidates

for vertical farming. They naturally grow vertically and do not

need any support. In fact, these tall plants can themselves serve as

a support system for lightweight vines. Greens like lettuce, kale, and

basil also have a place in your vertical garden.

Vertical Farming in INDIA

In India, vertical farming has been introduced. ICAR experts are

working on the concept of 'vertical farming' in soil-less conditions, in

which food crops can be grown even on multi-storeyed buildings in

metros like New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai without using soil

or pesticides. Many entrepreneurs in India have found interest in the

concept of vertical farming. It is a profitable business that promotes

sustainable development - a win-win situation for all. Vertical farm-

ing is set to herald a new era of urban and com-

pact agriculture sectors

A Sommelier’s role is about more than just tasting wine, he/she

should be capable of assessing the quality of a wine, but above all

be a good manager and a customer oriented psychologist. If we

most commonly see them on the floor of a restaurant interacting

with guests and helping make their dining experience memorable

by suggesting wines that will enhance the flavor of their chosen

meal.

Responsibilities:

Sampling wines from different producers worldwide,

Selecting bottles that reflect the price level and quality in

line with its budget and objectives,

Developing and curating the wine lists, including pricing,

purchasing and sales monitoring,

Managing the wine inventory, including the meticulous stor-

age and care of wines,

Working closely with the chefs to create a cohesive food and

beverage program,

Training the service staff for proper wine knowledge.

Sommelier --- An Unconventional Profession

Is sommelier a good career?

It's not only an interesting and exciting career track. It can be downright lucra-

tive. A master sommelier salary is one of the highest in the hospitality busi-

ness, while an advanced or certified sommelier salary is competitive, too.

Each sommelier level tends to be higher than a bar manager salary.

Wine Tasting Colleges in India

Wine Tasting course currently is not well recognized as a career in India. De-

spite this, India has a number of good wine tasting institutes. Given below

does the list of some of the best institutes for wine taste in India.

Wine Tasting Institutes

Average Fee for Wine Tasting Courses in India

In India, wine courses can’t be imparted as freely as other specialised courses

since trainers have to buy licenses for each day of training. A day’s license costs

approximately Rs 5,500 and has a six-hour expiry period. Typically, an institute

will charge around Rs. 50,000- Rs. 70,000 per month for a wine tasting course.

Some wine tasting institutes might also specify fees on a per-day basis. The fees

for online wine tasting courses, however, can be much less as compared to off-

line classroom courses.

Caviar is unfertilized eggs—also known as roe—that are harvested exclusively

from the sturgeon family of fish and then salt-cured. There are also a variety of

substitute caviars made with roe from different fish species, but “true” caviar

comes from sturgeons, which belong to the Acipenseridae family. While the Cas-

pian Sea and the Black Sea produced much of the world’s caviar for a long time,

farm-produced caviar has now become popular as wild sturgeon populations have

been depleted from overfishing.

Every type of caviar has its own unique qualities, from coloring to flavor. For

example, Beluga caviar is smooth and buttery with a nutty flavor that’s close to

hazelnut. Glistening caviar eggs range in color from pure black to a greenish-

grey. True caviar has a famous “Caspian pop”—the egg bursts in the mouth.

Caviar is divided into two grades depending on qualities such as size, color,

firmness, taste, and aroma.

Grade 1 is the firmest, richest eggs

Grade 2 is slightly lower in quality

CAVIAR — most expensive foods in the world

CAVIAR — most expensive foods in the world

P A G E 1 2 I S S U E : 0 7

Why is caviar so expensive?

Caviar is considered one of the most expensive delicacies in the world, and with variations

like almas white beluga retailing for $25,000 per KG there is no other food on earth valued

quite so highly. Sturgeon of whatever species take a long time to reach sexual maturity

when they start producing eggs. Different species mature at different times. For example,

females of the largest of the sturgeon family, Beluga, require 16 to 18 years to reach that

point. That's one of the reasons why Beluga caviar is so expensive

Is caviar available in India?

The world is moving towards farmed caviar from France, Uruguay and America. But so far,

farmed caviar has not made it to India. Now in India many companies selling in offline and

online mode, even AMAZON and FLIPKART selling packaged CAVIAR. Many restaurants in all

metros are serving CAVIAR recipes.
