Fees for IUPUI undergraduate state residents in health or non health divisions were increased from 123 per credit hour to 124 Nonresident under graduate fees In both divisions at IUPUI went from MO per credit hour to $66

Detective is comprised ot some vet eran rockers. Michael De* Barres the lead socalut. was one of the main forces behind Silverhead. a heavy metal group that had a pretty nasty reputatiun in the early seventies Tony Kaye, the keyboardist, worked with the original Yes and also loured with David Bowie. Michael Monarrh. guitarist was in the original Steppen wolf lineup Des Barres iccidently

bumped into Page, who shared sever al mutual interests with him and eventually went to Detective's re­hearsal hall with Robert Plant to hear them play Detective later sent Page a demo tape in Switzerland, and that move nailed them their contract

After an unsucceaaful attempt at re­cording. they switched producer* and went hack into the studio with Andy Johns and (hu time it turned out well Their first Lp. simply titled Detrcllvr was released earlier this year The weil-wntten and performed songs showed just exactly what Detective wanted its audience to realize they were one hell at a rock and roll band

Their second album just released lives up to the promise at the first one It Take* One Ts Know Our reveals a slight maturing ot the group, both in writing and performing They are playing tighter and more rhythmx cally. with some very memorablr nils chopping through like a machete Des Barres voice u still the best thing about the group He seems to know just how to get hu different feelings

All kinds ot comparisons can be draws from this album but the lad remains that Detective sounds like no other band and. if anything, they may become so popular that other band* will be emulating them
