What started as afloating bird sanctu-ary project by mem-bers of the SilverglenConservancy in themiddle of the dam,situated at the heartof the Silverglen Na-ture Reserve, hasturned into a floatingbarge which ferriednature lovers andp h o t o g r a p h e r saround the dam, re-cently. Explaininghow the projectturned into one forresidents to enjoy,Silverglen Conser-vancy chairman,Shaun Hammond,said, “A floatingbarge is basically avessel that floats onwater and is capableof moving in the

water utilised tomove items or if de-signed by specialisteven motor cars andtrucks across lakes.This little barge wasinitially a project ex-ecuted by members

of the SilverglenConservancy tomake a floating birdsanctuary in the mid-dle of the SilverglenNature Reserve.”The drums weresponsored by a com-

munity member, thetimber for the deck-ing from a roofingcompany in Silver-glen and some othertimber from a storein Cato Manor.“We used our ownmonies to buy therest of the hardwareand tools required toget this projectgoing. Eddie vonBargen, Shanil Bal-gobin, John Baijnathand the rest of theteam worked throughthe rain and earlyevening to see theiridea materialise intoa reality,” he ex-plained. It was onlywhen they saw thefinished product didthey realise that thiscould be more than afloating bird islandbut actually used toferry nature lovers,and photographers

around the dam tobird viewing spotsand places of interestwithin the 20 meterdeep dam. “Weutilise a very silentelectric motor topower the vesselaround due to thisarea being a highlyprotected conserva-tion area noisy fuelpowered motor de-vices are prohibited,”said Hammond.Hammond addedthat with the neces-sary precautions anddisciplines in place,conservancy mem-bers would be able touse this as an excit-ing adventurous edu-cational tool to enticechildren to the re-serve and exposethem to the wonders,value and beauty ofnature.

A 46-year-old para-plegic man escapedwhat he believed wasthe most dangerous sit-uation he faced in hislife while returningfrom his friend’s home,on Saturday.Devan Pillay said hewas driving his modi-fied Honda Civic fromMerebank back to Sil-verglen at about 7pm,when the incident un-folded.“I was driving passedBeacon Sweets inSouth Coast Roadwhen I noticed a groupof men standing on theopposite side of theroad. I began to feelvery unsafe. A few sec-onds later, a brick was

thrown at me, whichhit the windscreen andmissed my head byinches. The wind-screen was shatteredand I knew that if Islowed down orstopped, I would be ac-costed by the group ofmen, who were alreadymaking their way to-wards me,” he said.Pillay, an administra-tive clerk at theChatsworth SAPS, saidall he could think aboutwas getting to the po-lice station.“A few meters awayfrom where I was at-tacked with the brick,there was rubble and atree stump placed onthe road. I continued to

A man was killed andthree others injuredafter a light motorvehicle crashed into aresidence wall alongMoorton Drive inChatsworth, lastweek.

The exact cause ofthe collision is notyet known, however,local authorities wereat the scene to con-duct further investi-gations.

On the night of theincident, ER24 para-medics arrived at thescene and found aman, believed to bein his 60s, lying inthe driver’s seat.

A woman and twochildren were foundseated in another ve-hicle. Paramedics as-sessed the man andfound that he showedno signs of life.

brates. The invertebrates are the insects like but-terflies, moths and bugs which will invariably at-tract a lot of indigenous bird life to that spot. Alittle grassland area together with a miniaturewetland setup will really turn this spot into aneco-educational attraction for science teachersand nature lovers,” he said.The Silverglen Conservancy’s Shaun Hammond,said as with all good projects, the park will taketime to complete and establish.“This area will now be monitored 24/7 just as Ihave done with the nature reserve until it is un-derstood that this place is of importance and in-terest to the community and not an open space tobe abused by vagrants and illegal dumpers. The swift responsefrom police officers ofthe Chatsworth SAPSCommunity ServiceCentre resulted in thesuccessful apprehen-sion of three suspects,on Monday.It is alleged that duringthe early hours ofMonday morning, asecurity guard washeld up at a businesspremises on SunsetAvenue.Communications offi-cer of ChatsworthSAPS, Cpt Cheryl Pil-lay, said the suspects

assaulted the guard be-fore entering the prop-erty.

“Upon arrival, policearrested three suspectsat the scene and alsoseized a gas gun, a bul-let proof vest, one pep-per spray, threecellular phones andcash. Police intensifiedtheir investigationsand within hours, a3.57 revolver firearmwas recovered with sixrounds of ammunition.The exhibits will besent for forensic analy-

Facing many challenges while growing up, in-cluding being a victim of bullying in highschool, helped a Chatsworth youngster discoverhis inner strength and confidence, thus makinghim the determined and focused individual whohe is today.While his past is now behind him, Crossmoorresident, Kirsten Govender (27) has certainlylearned a great deal from the experience and isnow on a mission to become a full-fledgedWorld Wrestling Professionals (WWP) super-star.With the support and expertise of his coach andtwo-time WWP Hardcore Champion, DarylDante Naidu, also known as Nightmare, Goven-der believes that his dream will soon become areality. Govender’s teenage life was no bed ofroses and during an interview with journalists,he described himself as an outcast in highschool.“It all started when I entered high school. I didnot fit into any social groups at school andpupils would often push me around and makefun of me. One day, I was viciously attacked bymany pupils for no particular reason. Had it notbeen for an elderly man assisting me, I wouldhave died. Due to being the victim of bullying,I had a silent rage building up inside me. I couldnot contain it anymore and that’s when I decidedto stand up for myself and fight back,” he said.His decision to defeat the odds earned him pop-ularity at school, but Govender admitted thatfighting started to change him and soon there-after, he became a very violent person. “Thatwas a very dark time in my life, however, I amproud to say that prayer helped me get back onthe spiritual route in life. I knew that I had a pur-pose in life and wanted to take up professionalwrestling,” Govender explained.For as long as he could remember, he lovedwrestling, however, did not know much aboutwrestling schools in Chatsworth. Heightened awareness on road safety during the festive seasonhas kicked off and in order to keep road users and the generalpublic safe, the Malvern SAPS team has adopted stringentmeasures as the ‘silly season’ approaches.Communications officer of Malvern SAPS, W/O RadhikaMarimuthu, said residents are cautioned against posting policeactivities on social media, which can hamper and interfere withthe execution of duty especially the occurrences of roadblocks.Precedents in South African law have indicated that it does notrequire a person to be the originator of the content to be heldliable and that merely repeating or ‘sharing’ a post is sufficient.“Further to this, a person may be equally liable for another per-son's posts where that person knows that they have been taggedin the other person's post and allows their name to be used, andfails to take steps to disassociate themselves from that post. Inthis sense, it is very important to note that the potential for legalliability doesn’t only apply to the person, who initially made

the statement but also to the person who posts and forwardsit,” she explained.South African law also states that every person who forms partof the chain of publication of a statement can be sued or heldresponsible for the content contained in a statement.“It is therefore possible to hold a person responsible for re-pub-lishing, sharing or re-tweeting any statement which they knowor may reasonably know which is not supposed to be posted onsocial media,” said W/O Marimuthu.She reiterated that residents should bear in mind that innocentroad users sometimes die in road accidents because of driverswho disregard the law and drive while under the influence ofalcohol.“Vagrant social media posters who defy the law and forwardpost of road blocks are not doing any favours to road users. In-stead, this is creating a culture of defiance and disrespect to theexecution of the law,” added W/O Marimuthu.

Choosing the right career-Part two

In part one, I discussed the impor-tance and relevance of satisfyingyour skills and interests when choos-ing a career. This is not always pos-sible, especially in the current stateof high unemployment in SouthAfrica. We have to often take theemployment that we get, otherwiseface a life of doom and gloom. Inpart two, I discuss considering yourcurrent state and considering your future, whichfurther guides our choices in making this critical,life-changing decision.Consider your current state:Some of us choose to further our studies after

schooling, in the hope of becoming aprofessional or hoping to become moreemployable. Some, on the other hand,choose to work and study part-time oras our finances warrant us to, while oth-ers are forced to work in order to sup-plement their family’s income. In eitherinstance, we must be realistic about thechoices we make. For those who wishto pursue higher education studies,

I was invited to theRailway Barracks re-union, which was heldat the Arena Park Re-gional Hall, last Sun-day. I had theopportunity of meetingmany elders at thefunction and their hum-bleness and simplicitywas priceless. It was aday filled with rekin-dling bond and excite-ment.

Reuniting never felt this goodThis definitelyreignited communityspirit. I find that thetrend by the RailwayBarracks in revivingreunions is very im-portant as no commu-nity or family can existwithout a sense of his-tory. Besides partying,roots are being re-es-tablished and lostfriendships and familyties are rekindledwhile reminiscingabout the good olddays.

We, as a community,urgently need this be-cause in today’s fast-paced societies,families don't interactmuch with each other

and as a result, inmany instances, ourchildren don’t evenknow their familiesacross a room largelybecause we are too ab-sorbed in this material-istic world.

It is so great to see thatthe families came intheir numbers andhave not forgottentheir roots. The GroupAreas Act destroyedthe community, butfailed to destroy thespirit. Today, we talkabout the rainbow na-tion as if it’s a newconcept.

Railway Barracks wasa community united by

the spirit of humankindness. One canonly imagine the tearsand trauma of resi-dents when they wereuprooted and sent intothe townships basedon their skin colour. Asa former resident,Guru Harridas Goven-der told me he remem-bers the contempt hehad for the nationalistgovernment when theywere uprooted.

World Aids Day is commemorated each year onDecember 1 and is an opportunity for every com-munity to unite in the fight against HIV, showsupport for people living with HIV and remem-ber those who have died.This year, RK Khan Hospital partnered withbusinesses in the Shallcross area and broughtvarious health services to the doorstep of thecommunity of Road 1104 to ensure that the mes-sage about HIV is heard.The theme this year was, ‘It is my right to knowmy status: Prevention is my responsibility’ andthe slogan, ‘Let Our Actions Count!’ was en-couraged.Business owners with factories in the Shallcrossarea including Labora and Novita Shoes, theRidge Shopping Mall, Buziwe Security Service,Vino Storage and Sasol Garage committed timeand money to ensure the success of the event,which was held at a vacant plot in Shallcross.About 250 patients from the 1104 area took ad-vantage of the free health services on offer andgot tested for HIV. Former Railway Barracks residents remember their roots

Former residents and descendants of RailwayBarracks attended the much-anticipated fourthannual reunion of the Railway Barracks, recently.This reunion was characterised by scenes of highemotion and elation. Attendees were greeted withdisplays of old pictures.Chairman, Tiny Kisten said, “The historic gath-ering in 2014, after almost 50 years, ignited thedesire for us to formalise ourselves and the Rail-way Barracks Remembrance Association was es-tablished in 2015. This year, we celebrated ourfourth annual reunion and God willing, we hopeto celebrate many more in the years ahead.”A memory wall also paid tribute to loved oneswho passed on. The event was compered by MalaLutchmanan, who is also a descendant of theRailway Barracks. She stressed the importance ofremembering and paying homage to one's roots.The day also held many fun activities such as a

pick-a-box game. The RBRA also paid specialtribute to members of the Tyrants, a band formedin the Railway Barracks and which still consistsof original members, who also formed part of themusical entertainment for the day.This year, the association also compiled a sou-venir brochure which consisted of personal rec-ollections and family histories that weresubmitted by various former residents.Editor, Jeffrey Kannie said, “In retelling our sto-ries in print form, we hope to preserve for pos-terity our former way of life. The SAPS eThekwini Inner South Cluster cele-brated Christmas at the People’s Church of God,last Thursday. This special day was dedicated tothe men and women in blue of the South AfricanPolice Service.

The foot soldiers were acknowledged and hon-oured by Dr Cyril Pillay of People's Church ofGod for their commitment towards ensuring thesafety of the community. The service commencedwith a candle lighting ceremony acknowledgingtheir fallen heroes of the SAPS who were calledto rest and in support of the 16 Days of Activismcampaign.

Deputy mayor, Cllr Fawzia Peer graced the cele-bration with her presence as well. In her keynoteaddress, she encouraged the community to assistthe police in the fight against crime. She askedfor God’s protection, also requesting the spiritualleaders to continuously pray for the safety of thepolice, who will embark on festive duties.

The story is re-lated by Garib’s great-grandmother, Solai Pa-dayachi to her daughter, Annamah Naicker.Great grandmother, Solai arrived from India withgreat grandfather, Iyemperumal Padayachi onboard the Umzinto X111 on the June 29, 1896.She was identified as having a tattoo on her rightforearm. They had a horrendous journey to thePort of Natal with the crew, and some indenturedmen sexually assaulting single and young mar-ried women.She related that they were lured by touts whopromised great wealth and a better life in thiscountry. The promised homes had not materi-alised. They lived in overcrowded huts and therations given to them barely filled their bellies.They worked in the burning hot summer sun andfreezing cold winters on the sugarcane planta-tions. They worked a nine hour day from dawn todusk. They created small vegetable patches withseeds brought from India, to supplement theirmeals. In time, the extra vegetables were sold onthe streets in baskets that they wove with reedsfound on the river bans. The few clothes that theybrought along became old and tatty and the in-dentured females lost their beautiful looks due tothe backbreaking hard work on the plantations.There were no schools, so the older girls taughtchildren the Indian culture, traditions, dance andlanguage. The unhealthy living conditions gaverise to high, hazardous incidences of occupa-tional diseases, causing high mortality rates. Atthe end of their bondage, her great grandparentschose the option of remaining in the country.

Justin JacobsIget to drive many different cars in my lineof work; some are purely performance ori-ented, others are more luxury focused,

while some are budget cars, and then there arethe bakkies. Every now and then though, a carcomes along that just blows me away and be-lieve it or not, the Renault Duster is one suchcar.Why so? Well, Renault created the Duster as aworld car that needs to works in whatever terrainit might find itself in. The Duster comes with ei-ther a petrol or turbodiesel engine option, the lat-ter being the model I recently found myselfdriving, in top spec Dynamique trim and withfour-wheel drive.It might not be the prettiest SUV around, but inall fairness, the Duster is about rugged simplicityand getting the job done, which it does thanks toa ground clearance of 210 mm and a decidedlychunky overall look. Inside, it's basic but this somehow adds to its ap-peal. A touchscreen infotainment system withnavigation Bluetooth and USB, electric windowsand cruise control are some of the luxurious onoffer, while the boot is on par with some pricierSUVs at 475-litresThe quality inside is also not breathtaking withhard plastics and material seats are on offer, how-ever, they seem durable enough to handle every-thing from the daily commute, to venturingoff-road and having man’s best friend along forthe ride.As for its on-tar capabilities, the Duster dieselcomes powered by the widely used 1.5-litre oilburner also found in the Nissan NP200, thatmakes 80kW/240Nm. Hooked to a six-speed

manual gearbox, the figures seem underwhelm-ing, but factor in the Duster’s 1276 kg weight,and the engine makes for a sufficient turn ofspeed.To sample the Duster in its entirety, I recentlyjoined Renault South Africa and a number of myfellow scribes on a jaunt to Clarens in the FreeState. Our drive from Johannesburg saw us tak-ing the road less travelled, literally. We zig-zagged through back roads, on gravel tracks andthrough small towns seemingly from a bygoneera.Another part of our drive included a 4x4 route. Iwas expecting some bumpy gravel road, but as itturned out, it was more extreme. We quite liter-ally drove up the side of a mountain. The roadwas incredibly narrow, frightening and litteredwith rocks. Steep inclines tested both the Dusterand the drivers.After about two-and-a-half hours, we reached ourremote turn around spot. The Duster was able toget here thanks to its 4x4 system, which featuresa 50/50 lock system. The low down torque alsohelps assist the car’s capabilities.After spending a lengthily time with the Duster,I fell in love. It offers fuss-free driving, it’s eco-nomical, comfortable, capable and offers all theconvenience features one would expect from amodern car. It’s spacious and due to its robust-ness, it can handle our ever deteriorating roads,especially those found out in the middle ofnowhere, with ease.The Duster starts at R239 900 for the entry levelpetrol model and tops off at R304 900 for themodel I drove. I’ll be honest, it’s a fantastic car.It’s tenacious, tough and will keep going no mat-ter what. For the money, I doubt you can find acar more suited to South African conditions.

Why the Renault Duster is near perfect

Nissan has finally announced pricing detailsfor the new Patrol.Launched in Australia last month in facelift guise,the Y62 generation Patrol replaces the almostdecade old Y61 sold in South Africa until now,with Nissan's rival to the Toyota Land Cruiser200 getting a slightly altered front bumper, newgrille and alloy designs compared to the pre-facelift model.The biggest addition is the inclusion of what Nis-san refers to as its Intelligent Around-View Mon-itor system, that provides a 360 degree viewdisplayed on a eight-inch touchscreen display.As part of the updates, driver assistance tech has

been revised with items such as Blind Spot Warn-ing and Intervention, Rear Cross Traffic Alert,Lane Departure Warning and Prevention, Adap-tive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning,Emergency Braking and Distance Control beingstandard.Like the QX80, the Patrol is offered only with a5.6-litre petrol V8 that develops 298 kW and 560Nm of torque, connected to a seven-speed auto-matic gearbox. Fuel consumption is rated at 14.4L/100 km. As it was primarily designed for theMiddle East and North American markets, the lat-ter where it is sold as the second generation Ar-mada, no diesel engine is currently available.Available in only one trim level, LE, the Patrol ispriced at R1 299 000 with a six year / 150 000km warranty and three year / 90 000 km serviceplan included.

Is the XC40 the Volvo that South Africans havebeen waiting for? I flew to Barcelona, Spain tosample this new compact SUV from the

Swedish car maker. It is packed with new tech-nology and clever features. Has it got what ittakes to make an impact? I definitely think so.The stylingIt’s unmistakably Volvo, in fact, it’s unmistakablySwedish in design. Clean, flowing lines, an ag-gressive front-end featuring the brand’s new in-verted grille and trademark Thor’s Hammer LEDdaytime running lights grabbed my attention. Therear is also standard Volvo SUV fare and featuresthe now signature vertical taillights on either sideof the sculptured tailgate.It’s youthfulThe XC40, especially when viewed from the out-side, does seem to be more youthful in its ap-pearance as per its intended target audience. Anassortment of customisation trim pieces are of-fered with the sporty R-Design being myfavourite, thanks to its bigger wheels, flaredbumpers and a black roof.The interiorInside the XC40, I noticed that much of the lookand feel can be compared to that of the more pre-mium models in the Volvo stable. One of the mainattractions is the nine-inch Sensus Connect info-tainment system and the TFT instrument cluster,as well as the premium levels of fit-and-finish. The R-Design I drove also had black sportsseats and a Lava Red option for the carpets, trans-mission tunnel and door panels.It’s also practicalStill keeping with those door panels, well theydon’t have speakers in them. Instead, a single

ventilated speaker replaces both, albeit relocatedto the dashboard. According to Volvo, this im-proves sound quality as air is pumped directlythrough.This means that storage is best in class. I man-aged to fit a laptop bag into the storage compart-ment. The centre armrest storage has also beendesigned to fit more and there is another storagearea for smaller items.It is however the boot that impresses most. Thedesigners have made better use of the space al-

lowing for different storage configurations. TheXC40 is built on Volvo’s new Compact ModularArchitecture, which is a global mid-sized plat-form expected to underpin the next range of smallVolvo models.The driveThe XC40 will be arriving in South Africa aroundApril next year with a choice of two engine op-tions; a D4 turbodiesel and T5 turbo-petrol. Allmodels will feature all-wheel drive, an eight-

speed Geartronic gearbox and two trim options;Momentum and R-Design, both of which were atthe launch.Right from the off, the D4 with its140kW/400Nm shined. I think it makes morepractical sense for day-to-day ownership and ithas an impressive torque figure, as well as fuelconsumption at a claimed 5.5-litres/100km.The T5 on the other hand delivers185kW/350Nm, but add in the R-Design para-phernalia, and you have one good looking, yet se-riously quick SUV that will satisfy those wantingsome poke. Both cars also feature an Off-Roaddriving mode and have a noteworthy groundclearance of 211mm.Pilot AssistA feature I was extremely grateful for, mostly be-cause of Spain driving on the other side, is thePilot Assist system. It helps to keep the car withinthe lanes and even turns the wheel as the road me-anders. It maintains a safe following distance andwarns if cars are located in your blind spot.It is a first for this segment and one which is mostdefinitely beneficial. Volvo’s City Safe systemhas also been revised, mostly by braking when acar is detected while you are reversing.Final thoughtsAfter two days driving it, I can say that the XC40is indeed the Volvo that we South Africans havebeen waiting for. It’s a compact SUV with someoff-road ability. It’s practical, good looking andoffers a full range of safety features.The competition within the segment is well es-tablished but Volvo is offering a well specifiedmodel as standard. Price is unconfirmed butVolvo South Africa has hinted at a starting priceof under R500 000, before topping-out towardsthe mid-R600 000 mark.

After a series of renderings,teasers and spy shots, Lam-borghini has taken the covers

off its second only ever off-roader, thesharply styled Urus.Claimed to elevate the SUV to a level ithas never been before, the Urus takes itsname from the wild ancestor of the do-mestic cow, Aurochs, with Lamborghinifurther describing it as a "super SUV"that also rates as its most versatile todate.Said to take inspiration from the iconicLM002 aesthetically, the Urus, unlikethe Huracan or Aventador, comes pow-ered by a V8 engine, which also rates asthe first forced-induction unit to make itinto a production Lamborghini.Displacing 4.0-litres, the twin-tur-bocharged mill produces 485 kW and850 Nm of torque, which Lamborghiniclaims allows for a top speed of 305km/h and 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds. Aeight-speed automatic gearbox sends theamount of twist to all four wheels, withas much as 87% going to the rear wheelsthanks to a rear Torsen self-locking cen-tre differential and Torque Vectoring.In addition to the same rear-wheel steer-ing system as the Aventador S, the Urusushers in a new six-mode drive selectorknown as Tamburo. These consist ofStrada, Corsa, Neve (snow), Terra (off-road), Sabbia (sand) and Ego.While the former modes are aimed ateveryday use and maximum perform-ance, the latter three are off-road specificand involves the Urus being raised when

heading off the black stuff. Wheel sizesrange from 21-23-inches with brakingpower coming from carbon ceramicdiscs with a 10-pistron caliper setup atthe front and six-pistons at the rear.Riding on the same MLB Evo platformas the Porsche Cayenne, Audi Q7 andBentley Bentayga, the Urus ticks thescales at "less than 2 200 kg", and fea-tures a unique interior with a number ofhexagonal details such as the air ventsand door handles.Highlighted by a TFT instrument cluster,the centre facia incorporates a dual-screen layout derived from the Audi A8,with the steering wheel featuring a vi-

bration damper said to "enhance com-fort". Notable creature comforts, eitherstandard or optional, includes 18-wayelectric heated and cooled seats, 21-speaker 1 700 watt 3D Bang & Olufsensound system, voice activation, auto-matic tailgate, surround view cameraand LED headlights. Boot space is ratedat 616-litres or 1 596-litres with the rearseats folded down.Pricing for the Urus in Europe starts at€171 429 (R2 747 028) with deliverscommencing early next year. Final avail-ability for South Africa is yet to be an-nounced.

Lamborghini's Urus ‘superSUV’ touches down

Having made their official world debut at the Frankfurt MotorShow in September, Opel has divulged pricing details of the In-signia GSI and its Sports Tourer estate equivalent in Europe.

The first Opel model to carry the GSI moniker since the Corsa in 2012, theInsignia GSI comes powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine de-veloping 191 kW and 400 Nm of torque, while the Sports Tourer boasts asimilar displacement albeit fuelled by diesel and equipped with an extra tur-bocharger for a output of 154 kW and 480 Nm of torque.On both models, drive goes to all four wheels via Twinster all-wheel drivesystem through an eight-speed automatic gearbox, with Torque Vectoring,Brembo brake calipers, FlexRide chassis and four mode drive selector(Standard, Sport, Tour and Competition) standard on all models.In its home market, the GSI retails for €45 595 (R729 656) while the SportsTourer commands a sticker price of €46 595 (R745 659). Although the lat-ter is unlikely to reach South Africa anytime soon, speculation is open onthe sedan following Opel's recent sale to the PSA group and ultimate mar-ket re-commitment.

The KwaZulu-Natal Rental Hous-ing is an independent statutory body established bythe MEC, in terms of Section 7 of the Rental Hous-ing Act (Act No 50 of 1999), to resolve disputes be-tween tenants and landlords arising out of unfairpractices. The primary function of the tribunal is topromote stability in the rental housing sector by re-solving disputes that arise between tenants andlandlords in residential dwellings (flats, houses,shacks, backrooms/ outbuildings, apartments andhostel rooms, etc). The services of the rental tribu-nal are available throughout the province, at no costto parties to the dispute and there is no need to in-volve attorneys. The tribunal is tasked with re-sponsibilities to educate, provide information andadvise tenants and landlords with regards to theirrights and obligations.
