We have got all the opportunities to execute our merit, skills and evaluate the activities with group members. From the beginning of working in with this project all authorized person help us to reach our goal by accomplish the objectives. Company information

X Ceramics Ltd. is a ceramic tiles manufacturing company was established in early year of 20092009. It is a privet limited company and started with the authorized capital of BDT 2,500BDT 2,500 millionmillion. The production plant was constructed in Baherar Chala, Ansar Road, Sreepur, Gazipur. More than 100 Bigha land has been selected by company to set up the project. Cost of land would be approximately BDT 40 millionBDT 40 million. Minor filling and cutting of the land would be required for construction of the factory buildings. Such development cost including registration of land has been estimated to BDT 10 millionBDT 10 million. The primary manufacturing product is the ceramic. The factory is fully equipped with most modern equipments. The project cost of the company is estimated to be BDTBDT 800 million800 million breakups which are expected to be financed at Debt. The project envisages setting up of a modern ceramic & homogeneous tiles manufacturing plant. At 100% capacity utilization, it would be capable of producing 990 million square meter tiles per year based on 330 working days per year and three shifts operation per day. Based on market demand, various sizes and design of tiles can be produced. X Ceramics has rich backup of financial fund and the sponsors also have intention to spend more if required.

X-Ceramics Ltd. signed a joint venture to produce international quality tiles with collaboration of Majorca Spa (Italy). MAJORCA Spa was founded in 1966. The Emilian ceramic company had an immediate success with its top quality, aesthetically winning products. Majorca, strongly oriented towards market trends, has always proposed new products, skillfully blending innovation and tradition resulting in unique styles.

Majorca, Monica and Eurotiles are the famous names in Europe and around the world which are major Italian Brands since 1966. International Technicians, Designers, Experts have extended their skills to shape Monica for 21st century and beyond.

The Monica to fulfill the long expected desire of customer plant X Ceramics Limited installed in Bangladesh is going to be the largest Ceramic tiles producing industry within the South East Asian Region. X Ceramics Ltd. is the Brand Ambassador for the Brand Majorca, Monica and Euro-tiles in the name of "X Monica". The state of art plant is located at Gazipur (Dhaka), Bangladesh. X Ceramics Ltd. possess the exclusive right to all three brands of Majorca Spa including the Latest Fashion Tiles brand X Monica for Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Sri-Lanka, and Maldives. The advantages

Technological Support: The main reason for X ceramics to form this joint venture business is to

gain high technological support. as we know Italy is now one of the technologically advanced

country in the world. So it is a great opportunity for a Bangladeshi organization to work with the

facilities that an organization.

More Financial Resources: As a quality brand is joining the organization the banks will be interested more to finance the organization. So financially the company will be more benefited.

Shared management: Both of the partners shared the management and responsibility about company matter. Majorca Spa (Italy) controls the product quality and X Ceramics are doing production and marketing.

Quality full product: X ceramics has quality full product. They has best quality product in Bangladeshi ceramics industry. Because of their joint venture policy they can manufacturing world class product.

Disadvantages:

Unlimited liability: Each of the company has unlimited liability on their business. Any of the company should be liable for another companies’ mistake as well as its own.

Insatiable political condition of our country: Because of various type of political violence like strike, road barricade are hampering the production. Reduces of productivity is matter of loss.

Low Trust: One of the major problem of join venture business is low trust of among the partners. More elaborately we saw recently Indian organization Hero canceled their join venture with Honda as now they had understand the business clearly. Why this happen? Actually when an organization had all they needed they don’t want to share their profit with other so when they knew everything and had all the resources they want to cancel they are not more interested to continue the agreement.

Difference between cultures: X ceramics is a Bangladeshi organization on the other hand MAJORCA Spa is an Italian organization. Both are from different cultures as different countries had different business cultures. So the tow entity might face some conflict for different business cultures.

X Ceramics Ltd. has various types of tiles. They has different type of wall tiles and floor tiles.

They are manufacturing twelve world class design which contain wall and floor tiles. Each of the

design has various couloirs. Those designs are rombi, fiore, papyrus, bubble, honey comb, pucci,

imperial marble, crossfire, aqua, stella, albona and bel fiore series.

Thayer upcoming product is rustic tiles. Which will be black.

The target market of X ceramics is upper middle and high class because lower middle and poor class cannot afford to buy their tiles due to its price. This is the only weakness of X ceramics.

More people are coming towards ceramic tiles because mosaic or cement plaster is less fashionable and the other option marble is relatively high priced.

Growth of tiles is increasing 20% annually so X ceramics has the opportunity to capture a large share of market.

Bankers are interested to finance in the ceramics market so it an opportunity for the entrepreneurs to collect capital for this industry.

Use of tiles is no more a fashion. It’s become an essential increasingly being used in urban and semi-urban areas. So the Industries should grab this opportunity to distribute tiles among the customers.

A number of developer organizations and builders are introducing a number of residential areas and construction of high raised buildings all over the country. These buildings are needed a huge number of tiles.

Two main competitors RAK and Mir ceramics are main threat for tiles industry. Akij group who have already a good brand image came ceramic market with their new

industry Akij ceramics.

Conclusion

From the research we see that ceramics industry has a high potential in Bangladeh and the organization X ceramics has taken the correct decision that they had join with a foreign industry to share their knowledge, technology and other resources affectively. It would help them to differentiate their products.
