Our LocationCollege of the Rockies is located on the edge of the Rocky Mountains in the southeastern corner of British Columbia.

Our Main Campus is in the City of Cranbrook, as is our Gold Creek Campus.

College of the Rockies has satellite campuses in Creston, Fernie, Golden, Invermere and Kimberley that offer programs specific to their communities in tourism, health, upgrading, contract training and continuing education.

All of our campuses are conveniently located in communities surrounded by some of the world’s finest golf and ski resorts. An additional bonus is easy access through the Trans-Canada Highway and several international airports located nearby.

City of CranbrookWith a population of 22,000 Cranbrook is the largest city in the East Kootenay. As such, Cranbrook offers a wide selection of dining and shopping opportunities as well as two live performance theatres and a five-plex cinema.

Boasting more annual sunshine hours per year over most other communities in British Columbia, Cranbrook has a lively recreational culture. Residents participate in a number of outdoor activities including biking, hiking, golfing and skiing. In addition, the city has three indoor arenas, including the Rec Plex which offers aquatic activities, an ice rink and a squash court. The city offers a bowling alley and nearby casino as well as many other facilities and amenities.www.cranbrook.ca

Bus ServiceThe City of Cranbrook has a transit system with routes to all areas in the city. It provides inexpensive and easy transportation to shopping, recreation and the College. The buses are low-floor vehicles that provide wheelchair and scooter access. Another great feature is the ability to load bikes onto the front so you can transit between bike rides!

Universal Bus Pass (U-pass)Most full-time students at the Cranbrook Campus receive a U-pass. This pass provides access to all city bus routes as well as an on-demand shuttle service for students

in night classes. The shuttle takes students directly to

to their homes anywhere within the city limits.

As an extra bonus the U-Pass includes free access to public swim times at the Cranbrook Rec Plex!

Meet Stefanie...Stefanie Schoenberger received the 2009/10 Scholastic Distinction Entrance Scholarship for two full years of paid tuition.

College of the Rockies has been an awesome place to begin my post-secondary

education. It is especially great because of the small class sizes and one-on-one time with the instructors. The East Kootenay Scholastic Distinction Scholarship saved me thousands of dollars in tuition.

Everyone should apply for scholarships! - Stefanie

Too often we are so preoccupied with the destination, we forget the journey.“ ”

Let your mind start a journey thru a strange new world. Leave all thoughts of the world you knew before. Let your soul take youwhere you long to be...

Close your eyes let your spirit start to soar, and you’ll live asyou’ve never lived before.

College of the Rockies greatly values the strong, successful relationship we have with our partners in Aboriginal Education, the Ktunaxa Nation, the Band Communities and the BC Métis Nation, Region Four. For many years the College has worked in collaboration with Aboriginal communities on programs and projects continuing to improve the access and quality of services for Aboriginal learners throughout the region.

The Aboriginal Advisory Committee, with representation from each of these Aboriginal communities, is a very valuable resource to the College. Its members bring important community information to the College and provide guidance and advice regarding programming and services. In response to community and Nation input, new courses and programs offering relevant and extensive Aboriginal content are being developed each year.
