CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER Saint Lucia’s Investment Promotion Agency (Invest Saint Lucia) is seeking applications from dynamic individuals with the credentials, experience and vision to fill the post of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The position carries immense responsibility and calls for a thorough commitment to the advancement of the island’s socio-economic development. The selected candidate will direct the Agency’s investment and business activities to ensure the achievement of its mandate and champion the development and implementation of strategic interventions. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Lead, and constantly monitor, the organization’s Strategy Development and

Execution process. 2. Oversee all Agency operations to ensure adherence to good Corporate

Governance practices, compliance with legal requirements, revenue generation and cost containment.

3. Lead the high-level Investment Research, Promotion & Facilitation activities along with its Land and Property Management functions.

4. Oversee corporate initiatives to increase investments in targeted sectors through effective investor targeting and servicing.

5. Drive process improvements and best practices in the Agency. 6. Develop and maintain effective business relationships with potential and

existing Investors, Stakeholders, Ministers and representatives of Government, locally, regionally and internationally.

7. Keep abreast of developments in local and foreign markets to guide the development of new sector services and meet revenue targets.

8. Advocate for changes to relevant legislation, policies and/or procedures on critical matters affecting the Agency.

9. Lead the Senior Management Executive Team to ensure effective performance and build a fully engaged team of support staff.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: • Graduate Degree in a business-related discipline such as: Economics,

Marketing, Finance, International Business. • At least ten (10) years’ experience in a senior management position with a

minimum of five (5) of these at the helm of an equivalent level institution. • At least three (3) years’ private sector experience at a senior level. • Demonstrated track record in Leadership, Strategic Planning & Project

Management. • Should possess a positive career history of upward mobility and successful

results. • Extensive experience in strategic and change management processes. • Extensive business networks locally and internationally. • Proven track record of effectively managing, inspiring and motivating a

team of experienced professionals. • Proven ability to work in demanding, deadline-driven environments. • Strong Financial Management background with analytical skills and the

ability to think critically and strategically. • Excellent Communication, Presentation and Negotiating skills. • Ability to solve business problems and make sound business decisions. • Awareness of the trends, issues, laws and regulations related to the

marketing of niche investment opportunities in international markets. • Strong understanding of the dynamics of both Foreign Direct Investment

(FDI) and Domestic Investment. • Work experience at an Investment Promotion Agency would be desirable. • Willingness to regularly travel overseas is essential.
