In a recording career that spans almost three decades and 24 albums, Grammy Award-winning saxophonist Kenny G has grafted elements of R&B, pop, and Latin music to a jazz foundation, solidifying his reputation as the premier artist in contemporary jazz. Since the early ‘80s, his combination of unparalleled instrumental chops and indelible melodies has resulted in sales of more than 75 million records worldwide (45 million in the U.S. alone) and more than a dozen climbs to the top of Billboard’s Contemporary Jazz chart.

Inspired by the likes of Earth, Wind & Fire and Grover Washington Jr., Kenny was only 17 when he landed a gig with Barry White and his Love Unlimited Orchestra at the Paramount Northwest Theater in 1973. After high school, gigs with R&B and contemporary jazz artists like White and Jeff Lorber kept coming. In 1982, he landed a record deal with Arista and launched a solo career with three critically acclaimed jazz albums – Kenny G (1982), G-Force (1983), and Gravity (1985).

By the ‘90s, Kenny was a multi-platinum seller and a frequent collaborator with some of the most iconic figures in American popular music, including Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Natalie Cole, and Frank Sinatra. His subsequent studio albums Silhouette (1988) and Breathless (1992), were hugely successful, the latter selling more than 12 million records in the U.S. alone and spawning the Grammy-winning single, “Forever in Love.”

Another major career highlight for Kenny was Miracles, a 1994 holiday album that took the saxophonist to the top of the Billboard chart for the first time and has since become the best-selling holiday album of all time.

His two holiday albums since then - Faith (1999) and Wishes (2002) - have been similarly successful. At Last ... The Duets Album, released in 2004, features performances by Barbara Streisand, Burt Bacharach, and LeAnn Rimes, along with a remake of Outkast’s “The Way You Move” with Earth, Wind & Fire.

After the success of Rhythm and Romance (2008) and Heart and Soul (2010), the second of which was a return to the classic R&B sounds of his Seattle childhood, Kenny has taken a step in a new direction with his latest release, Namaste India (2012). A collaboration with Indian santoor player and vocalist Rahul Sharma, the album captures both the natural meditative sound of Indian classical music and the flamboyant jazz melodies of the saxophone.

History has produced its share of great artists and great people – legendary jazz trumpeter John Birks “Dizzy” Gillespie was both. As a performer, he left behind an incredible record of innovation and inspiration; as a composer, a broad repository of musical masterpieces;

Together they are working to con-tinue the legacy of both the music and the personality of this great jazz master who had such a profound impact on twentieth century music.

Featuring a quartet ensemble of musicians who used to work with Dizzy, plus some of the best and brightest young up-and-comers of the next generation of jazz, the Dizzy Gil-lespie™ All Stars are proud to call Blue Note Jazz Club their home this Fall.

ERIC PERSON BIG BANDNOVEMBER 3, 8:00PM & 10:30PM The Eric Person Big Band now in it’s second year has been trailblazing with dynamic performances far and wide.

Last year’s Blue Note performance was given a stellar review in the New York Jazz Record by Russ Musto. He mentioned that “The ensemble, which featured some of New York’s finest players, had a supple airy sound not often heard in a big band.” The Eric Person Big Band is featured on his latest CD “Thoughts on God.”

Saxophonist and composer Eric Person left his native St. Louis in 1982 looking to see what the New York City jazz scene had to offer. After an initial gig with the John Hicks Big Band, he was soon performing with a diverse array of jazz legends such as Dave Holland, McCoy Tyner, Chico Hamilton, the World Saxophone Quartet, Dave Douglas, Donald Byrd, Houston Person and many others. He’s also been featured along side rock icons Vernon Reid, Ben Harper and funkateer Bootsy collins.

In 1993, Person released the first of three albums on Soul Note Records - Arrival, Prophecy, and More Tales to Tell - all of which garnered great reviews from critics. His 2010 release, “The Grand Illusion,” reviewed by critic Donald Elfman of All About Jazz, declared that “Person seems to find something new to say and a different dvirection to follow with every project he undertakes” In a review of 2007’s “Rhythm Edge,” JazzTimes critic Bill Milkowski called Person “a risk-taking improviser, accomplished composer, and inveterate swinger.” And his latest cd that features the big band was given 4 1/2 stars in DownBeat Magazine.

Born and raised in New Orleans, Stanton Moore is a dedicated drummer and performer especially connected to the city, its culture and collaborative spirit. Driven and inspired by the thriving music scene of his hometown which includes such greats as Professor Long-hair, Doctor John and The Meters, Moore’s name is now mentioned amongst these Big Easy mainstays.

In the early ‘90s, Moore helped found the New Orleans-based essential funk band Galactic. Their first album, 1996’s widely acclaimed Coolin’ Off, led to an intense tour schedule of nearly 200 gigs a year for the next ten years. Building on their fan base by adding an es-teemed list of all-star collaborations to the six albums that followed, Galactic continues to amass a worldwide audience via recording and touring globally.

Moore launched his solo career in 1998 aided by eight-string guitar virtuoso Charlie Hunter and saxophonist Skerik (Les Claypool, John Scofield, Roger Waters). The group recorded All Kooked Out! featuring a handful of local New Orleans musicians as well.

Showing his outstanding versatility, Moore has appeared on Heavy Metal Grammy nomi-nees Corrosion of Conformity’s In the Arms of God, Irma Thomas’ After the Rain (winning a grammy in the process), Robert Walter’s Super Heavy Organ, Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine) and Boots Riley’s (the Coup) Street Sweeper Social Club, Will Bernard’s Blue Plate Special, Diane Birch’s Bible Belt, Alec Ounsworth’s (Clap Your Hands Say Yeah) Mo Beauty and Joss Stone’s Colour Me Free!. He continues to play dates globally with an ev-er-evolving cast of musicians including John Scofield; Karl Denson; George Porter, Jr., and Leo Nocentelli (of the Meters); Charlie Hunter; Warren Haynes; John Medeski and Chris Wood (of Medeski, Martin and Wood); Donald Harri-son Jr.; Dr. Lonnie Smith, Dr. John, and the Pres-ervation Hall Jazz Band to name a few.

With a bachelor’s degree in music and busi-ness from Loyola University, Moore stays in-volved in education by constantly giving clin-ics and teaching master classes and private lessons all over the world. In 2011, Moore and LP introduced the new signature pan-deiro which was created to be used as an ac-cessory piece for the drumset.

and, as Paul puts it, “The Transfer’s second phase began.” The first album featuring the legendary quartet of Hauser, Siegel, Paul, and Bentyne was 1979’s Extensions, which earned the band another smash hit with “Twilight Zone/Twilight Tone.” The group went from strength to strength, garnering numerous Grammy Awards and nominations throughout the ‘80s, including a monumental 12 nominations for the 1985 album Vocalese.

The ambitious quartet kept its pace of excellent and often groundbreaking releases well into the new millennium, with albums like The Spirit of St. Louis (2000), the live album Couldn’t Be Hotter (2003), Vibrate (2004), The Symphony Sessions (2006), and The Chick Corea Songbook (2009).

Reflecting on Hauser’s recent passing, the members of The Manhattan Transfer said, “As many of you know, Tim was the visionary behind The Manhattan Transfer. We spent more than 40 years together singing and making music, traveling the world, and sharing so many special moments throughout our lives... It’s incomprehensible to think of this world without him. We join his loving wife, Barb, his beautiful children, his family, and the rest of the world in mourning the loss of our dear friend and partner in song.”

With worldwide sales in the millions, Grammy Awards by the dozen, and veterans of sold-out world tours, The Manhattan Transfer has continued to record and tour and will continue to do so.

THE MANHATTAN TRANSFERNOVEMBER 6-9, 8:00PM & 10:30PM

Tim Hauser, founder of The Manhattan Transfer, passed away on October 16, 2014. It had been just about 40 years since Hauser, a former Madison Avenue marketing executive, paid his bills by driving a New York City cab while aspiring to form a harmony vocal quartet sui generis that could authentically embrace varied musical styles, and still create something wholly unique in the field of American popular song. In the fall of 1972, Hauser met Laurel Masse, Janis Siegel, and Alan Paul in fairly quick succession, and the rest, as they say, is history. In 1974, The Manhattan Transfer began performing regularly throughout New York City at Trude Hellers, Mercer Arts Center, Max’s Kansas City, Club 82, and other cutting-edge cabaret venues. By the end of the year, the group was the top live attraction in New York City. Quickly signed to Atlantic records, the quartet released its self-titled debut in 1975, which spawned the group’s first national hit, “Operator.” The band’s next two albums, Coming Out (1976) and Pastiche (1977), produced a string of Top 10 hits in Europe, including “Chanson d’Amour,” a No. 1 smash in Britain and France.

In 1978, Masse was injured in a car accident and during her convalescence, decided not to rejoin the group that had since moved to California. One of many who auditioned for her slot was Cheryl Bentyne. At her dazzling audition, the other Transfer members immediately felt her impact, invited her to join,

Deborah’s Fig Tree tour in September 2013 took her to Paris, France where she reunited with jazz piano luminary, Alain Jean-Marie, and made her debut at Sunset/Sunside. While in Paris, Deborah recorded her fourth album in trio with Alain on piano and Gilles Naturel on double bass. The repertoire is sparing, elegantly direct and filled with rich ballads. Look for the release on JMP in March 2015!

Latz comes to jazz after an award-winning career in dramatic theater, where she gar-nered a Best Actress Award at the Jerzy Grotowski Theatre Festival in Poland for her one-woman performance of ‘Juliet’, and received rave reviews in New York and Eu-rope for ‘Travels With Ma Own Self,’ the one-woman musical which she wrote, produced and performed. Based in New York, Deborah sings in resi-dency at Cornelia Street Cafe with her duo and trio series. Dedicated to bringing the joy of vocal expression to others, Latz main-tains a busy voice studio and devotes time to at-risk youth through the non-profit or-ganization, Art Start.

Brazilian singer-songwriter/actor Seu Jorge became an international star after his performance as Knockout Ned in the Oscar-nominated City of God and his work in the Wes Anderson film The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou in 2004. In the latter, he played a sailor who sang solo acoustic versions of David Bowie classics in Portuguese, which caused Bowie to say: “Had Seu Jorge not

recorded my songs acoustically in Portuguese I would never have

heard this new level of beauty which he has imbued them with.”

Of course there has been a wealth of Seu Jorge original compositions as well. A kid from the favelas who taught himself to play guitar and several other instruments, Jorge is a singular talent of rare quality. His warm husky baritone is instantly recognizable but nonetheless flexible enough for samba, reggae, pop, electronic and other influences that find their way into his music.

After fronting the pop-samba band Farofa Carioca in the late-‘90s, his solo albums reveal a restless inquisitiveness. While 2001’s Samba Esporte Finois classic-sounding Brazilian pop (MPB), and his critically acclaimed 2004 breakthrough Cru (which means “Raw”) isa stripped-down effort that blended intimate singer-songwriter tunes with electronics. His most recent is the modern Brazilian pop (MPB) of Músicaspara Churrasco, which appeared in 2011. The idea here is that the music is for having fun, hanging in the backyard grilling some food and kicking a ball around.

His eclectic interests in music also can also be found a wide range of cover songs – beside Bowie he’s also done imaginative

interpretations of Leiber and Stoller’s “Don’t” (recorded by Elvis Presley), Michael Jackson’s “Rock With You,” Serge Gainsbourg’s “Chatterton,” Roy Ayers’ “Everybody Loves The Sunshine” as well as other Brazilian artists like Jorge Ben’s “Errare Humano Est” and Tim Maia’s “Cristina.”

Along the way there have also been countless collaborations with some of the finest musicians of today including Beck, Talib Kweli, Jack Johnson, Damien Rice and Thievery Corporation as well as Brazilians Sergio Mendes, Bebel Gilberto, Marisa Monte, Badi Assad and Ana Carolina, with whom he recorded a classic live album with in 2005. He’s also worked with members of the legendary Nação Zumbi on a project called Almaz, which was released as the album Seu Jorge and Almaz in 2010.

Now one of Brazil’s most popular musical exports is poised for the next chapter of this colorful and multifaceted career -- he is finishing up the second volume of Músicas para Churrasco, which will be released in late 2014 or early 2015.

Also on the horizon is a new soul-jazz album with strings for 2015. Both new albums feature producer MarioC (née Caldato)(Beastie Boys, Beck) at the controls.

The details are still being worked out, but there will be several guest singers joining Seu Jorge for this yet-to-named album, including Maria Rita, Zap Mama’s Marie Daulne and some other notable America singers. He will also perform eight nights with a trio (November 10-19, 2014) at the legendary Blue Note jazz club in New York City. Another high profile show will be his headline performance at the 2015 Sydney Festival in January. Past performers have included Brian Wilson, Bjork, Elvis Costello, Lou Reed and Emmylou Harris. 60,000 people are expected to attend.

With two (or perhaps three?) albums coming out in the near future and high profile appearances abroad, it’s safe to say that Seu Jorge will once again be at the forefront of the global cultural conversation, making 2015 another banner year for him.

You hear those first few notes from that in-stantly recognizable tenor, and know you’re in the unique musical world of Gato Barbieri. His enduring career has covered virtually the entire jazz landscape, from free jazz with trumpeter Don Cherry and avant-garde in the mid-’60s, to film scoring and his ultimate embrace of Latin music throughout the ’70s and ’80s. Barbieri began playing tenor saxo-phone with his own band in the late ’50s and moved to Rome with his Italian-born first wife Michelle in 1962, where he began col-laborating with Cherry. The two recorded two albums for Blue Note: Complete Communion (1965) and Symphony for Improvisers (1966), both of which are considered classics of free group improvisation. He also collaborated with Steve Lacy, Abdullah Ibrahim, Charlie Haden, Carla Bley and the Jazz Composer’s Orchestra, Stanley Clarke, Airto Moreira, Chi-co O’Farrell, and Lonnie Liston Smith during this period.

film Last Tango in Paris (1972) – an achieve-ment he parlayed into success as a film com-poser, scoring a dozen international films over the years in Europe, South America, and the U.S. By the mid-’70s, Barbieri’s coarse, wailing tone began to mellow, a change evi-dent on his ’70s A&M recordings. However, early ’80s dates like the live Gato … Para Los Amigos (1984) saw the saxophonist reclaim a more intense, rock-influenced South Ameri-can sound.

After many years of limited musical activity due to the passing of his first wife Michelle (also his closest musical confidant and man-ager) and his own triple bypass surgery six weeks later, Barbieri returned stronger than ever with the 1997 Columbia offering Que Pasa, the fourth-highest-selling contem-porary jazz album of that year. Since that reemergence, he has continued to release albums, including The Shadow of the Cat (2002), which won Billboard’s prestigious 2003 Latin Jazz Album of the Year award and garnered a GRAMMY® nomination, and New York Meeting (2010), his latest release.

Guitarist and composer, Colin Cannon’s music has been described as a unique fusion of mod-ern Jazz laced with funk, rock, and drum ‘n bass. His music is widely enjoyed by fans of Jazz, Rock, Funk and the Jam Band scene.

Cannon is based in New York City where he performs regularly in clubs such as The 55 Bar, opening for legends like Ron Carter, Russel Malone and others. He also tours the northeast playing major festivals such as the Xerox-Roch-ester International Jazz Festival.

Cannon’s critically acclaimed albums “In Sum-mary” and “Glenville” are available worldwide and feature Manami Morita (piano), Zak Croxal (bass), Thomas Hartman (drums) and Devin Col-lins (drums). These musicians have performed and/or recorded with internationally acclaimed artists such as Esperanza Spalding, Denis Chambers and Mark Walker to name a few.

Jazz organist/pianist Brian Charette, has estab-lished himself as a leading voice in modern jazz. “Square One” (2014 Posi-Tone), his sev-enth and latest record, presents a fresh take on the art of the organ trio. The trio is rounded out with rising star Yotam Silberstein on gui-tar and in-demand Mark Ferber on drums. The music is elegantly lyrical and brilliantly evocative with a very mod- ern jazz sensibility. Charette unleashes nine original compositions with sounds influenced by multiple genres, along with novel interpretations of songs by Joe Henderson and The Meters.

Charette’s recorded career as a leader began with his 2002 self-titled release and contin-ued with Missing Floor (2008), Upside (2009 SteepleChase), Learning To Count (2010 Stee-pleChase), Music For Organ Sextette (2012 SteepleChase), and Borderline (2013 Steeple-Chase).

Live Today signals a new journey for bassist and composer Derrick Hodge as he embarks on a solo recording career. The title alludes to his top guiding principle in creating his debut album, a stunning achievement that show-cases the profound depth and breadth of his musicality. “This whole album was putting on my composer’s hat, but letting go and making sure that I’m giving people raw examples of how I feel on any given day,” he explains.

Even though Hodge has played with such jazz titans as pianist Mulgrew Miller and trum-peter (and labelmate) Terence Blanchard, as well as R&B stars Jill Scott and Maxwell, the 33-year-old bassist is probably best known for anchoring the Grammy award-winning Robert Glasper Experiment. Similar to how Glasper concocts a distinctive mélange of modern jazz, hip-hop, and R&B, Live Today too inte-grates those genres and more into something that’s potent and personal. However, it is no Experiment offshoot. Similarities aside, the Live Today asserts a unique sound.

Now residing in Los Angeles, Hodge grew up right outside of Philadelphia in Willing-boro, N.J. He started playing electric bass in the elementary school orchestra. When the high school jazz band needed a bassist, they recruited him. On the suggestion of his high-school band teacher, Hodge continued his for-mal jazz education at Temple University.

While majoring at Temple University in perfor-mance, Hodge played with such Philly greats as tenor saxophonist Bootsie Barnes and trumpeter Terrell Stafford. At the same time, Hodge reaped considerable session work with some of Philly’s finest modern R&B artists such as Jill Scott, Musiq Soulchild, and Floetry. “So much was happening in Philly at the time. No one really knew that all of these artists were going to blow up so quickly,” Hodge re-calls. But that’s certainly what happened.

While on tour with Scott in support of her 2000 debut, Who Is Jill Scott?, Hodge arrived at the crossroads and had to decide whether he was going to continue playing with her or finish school. After a heartfelt conversation with Scott, he returned to Temple and contin-ued developing his jazz chops.

Live Today culminates all of Hodge’s experi-ences working with various jazz and R&B artists, resulting in music that’s at once ad-venturous yet accessible, and more important extremely personal.

DAVID SANBORN Renowned and revered the world over as one of the greatest saxophone players of all time, David Sanborn is an artist whose music has inspired countless other musicians. A naturally gifted performer whose body of work spans rock ‘n’ roll, R&B, pop, and jazz, he has helped define the saxophone’s modern sound while influencing a generation.

NOVEMBER 20-25, 8:00PM & 10:30PMBorn in 1945 in Tampa, Florida, Sanborn contracted polio when he was only three years old. As a part of his rehabilitation therapy, he was introduced to the saxophone – an introduction with consequences beyond the imagination of his parents, doctors, or anyone else. “When I was 17 or 18,” Sanborn has said, “and it was time to figure out what to do with my life, I realized that I didn’t enjoy anything as much as I enjoyed playing music. I felt that I had no choice, that I HAD to become a musician. Either that or steal cars.” Sanborn studied music for a year at Northwestern University before transferring to the University of Iowa. By 20, he was married and the proud father of a son named Jonathan, to whom each of Sanborn’s records have been dedicated. The early years of his career saw him take the stage at Woodstock with the Butterfield Blues Band and tour with legends like Stevie Wonder, The Rolling Stones, and David Bowie.

While he continued working with other performers like Paul Simon and James Taylor in the coming years, he also began flexing his considerable muscles as a solo artist, eventually scoring massive popular hits with Hideaway (1980), the Grammy-winning Voyeur (1981), and Backstreet (1983). He won his second of six career Grammy Awards in 1986 for Double Vision (with Bob James), and in the late ‘80s he hosted the classic television program Night Music. Recent albums like Dreaming Girl (2008), Here & Gone (2008), and Only Everything (2010) reflect the essence of an artist at peace with his own sound and development, yet still hungry – eager to explore the possibilities of his instrument and his abilities.

Hailing from Mount Vernon, NY, Kelly grew up having her voice and her soul nurtured by the local church community. There is a common sentiment that modern music has progressed as a commodity but declined as an art-form. Kelly*Jones represents the resurgence of recording artists who exalt passion and innovation above profit. Kelly*Jones believes that music, an ancient and sacred form of communication, used to possess an electricity that could be felt and understood by anyone, no matter what language you spoke.

It is this electricity that possesses the body, envelops the spirit, and ultimately makes us feel alive. After years of honing her craft as a touring performance artist, Kelly*Jones is ready to reveal her masterpiece to the world.

Steve Jenkins is part of the new wave of modern electric bass players. In addition to his mind-blowing technical prowess, his musicianship has allowed him to fit into a diverse of range of musical situations that have run the gamut from face-melting prog-metal to experimental microtonal jazz-funk to dubbed-out electronica bass lines to classic sounding r&b grooves--sometimes all within the framework of one song. He also has a strong grasp of using effects and technology which makes him a true sonic force to be reckoned with. Whether playing as a sideman or as a leader making his own music, Steve is known for his beyond solid groove, creative use of cutting-edge effects and textures, melodic/virtuosic solos, and mastery of different tones and techniques for any given musical situation.

Antonia Bennett, daughter of legendary singer Tony Bennett has been performing alongside her father since she could walk and talk. Some of her early performances were shared with legendary American icons such as Rosemary Clooney, Count Basie, Regis Philbin, Don Rickles, and growing up with the likes of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Gene Kelly. It was inevitable that she would inherit a genuine passion for the arts. For the past10 years she has what she considers the distinct honor of opening for her father performing all over the world. She can be heard in a duet with her Dad on Tony Bennett “A Swingin’ Christmas” on the track “I’ve got my love to keep me warm”.

She continues developing her craft while performing in a myriad of venues from prominent jazz clubs, casinos, amphitheaters and stadiums, including Radio City Music Hall, the Hollywood Bowl, the Umbria Jazz Festival, the Newport Jazz Festival, The Greek Theatre, Royal Albert Hall in London and Caesars Palace. This extensive and invaluable experience is irreplaceable and has in a large part been the greatest single contribution to her command of her voice, and her comfortable demeanor on stage.

She studied and performed at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute, and is an alumnus of the esteemed Berklee College Of Music in Boston.

Her latest release, “Embrace Me” produced by Holly Knight dedicated to the great American songbook features songs including “Embraceable You” and “The Man I Love”, performed in an intimate classic trio format. Roberta Gambarini was born in Torino, Italy, into a family where jazz was much loved and appreciated. She began listening to this music as a child and started taking clarinet lessons when she was twelve years old. By the time she was 17, she had begun singing and performing in jazz clubs around Northern Italy. At the age of 18, she decided to move to Milan to pursue a career as a jazz singer.

Soon after her move to Milan, still in her teens, Roberta took third place in a national jazz radio competition on TV, leading to performance opportunities at jazz festivals throughout Italy. She has performed in Jazz broadcasts on the Italian radio and TV channels and recorded since 1986 both under her own name and as a guest vocalist. In 1997, she worked with French Hammond organ player Emmanuel Bex, touring jazz clubs throughout Italy.

In 1998 she moved to the United States with a scholarship from the New England Conservatory in Boston. Two weeks later, Roberta stunned many in the jazz world by receiving third place honors in the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Vocal Competition.

Since then, she has performed with Michael Brecker, Ron Carter, Herbie Hancock, Slide Hampton, Roy Hargrove, Jimmy Heath, Hank Jones, Christian McBride, Russell Malone, Toots Thielemans, and many others. Roberta has performed at The Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, Town Hall and Walt Disney Concert Hall, and international jazz festivals such as Barbados, London, Monterey, North Sea, Toronto, and Umbria.

A dynamic performer with virtuosic vocal chops, Roberta draws rave reviews and enthusiastic fan support wherever she performs. She has done so with no hype and, to the astonishment of many, no doWmestic releases -- until June 6, 2006, when KOCH International Jazz released Roberta’s North American debut,Roberta Gambarini: Easy to Love.

Roberta shows off her instrumental approach and warm timbre, impeccable timing and intonation, incredible technique and scatting and improvisation skills on a set of 12 excellent jazz standards and classic songs from The Great American Songbook. The album also includes two bonus tracks and features special guest James Moody on a scintillating scat duel.

Easy To Love was nominated for a 2006 Grammy for Best Vocal Jazz Performance.

The Smoke People is a power trio based in New York City featuring sax player Luke Penella (Big Daddy Kane, Slick Rick, Westbound Train), bassist Dmitry Ishenko (Paul Banks, John Tchicai, Steve Lacy) & drummer Rob Mitzner (Sam Kininger Band, Jann Klose, I’m in You). The group combines jazz harmonies, rock effects, and high-energy funk grooves to produce a unique and genre-bending sound with diverse influences across the musical spectrum, including The Bad Plus, Radiohead, Bill Frisell, Ornette Coleman, Power Tools, The Fringe, Alas No Axis, and Tony Williams’ Lifetime. Bassist Ishenko uses a variety of ambient effects and loops to create a wide sonic tapestry on which the group’s original tunes are woven.
