My Pursuit of Happiness

This Slide Is About The Declaration Of Independence

Author• Thomas Jefferson was

originally from Virginia. • There are a number of sources

that Jefferson used as inspiration for the Declaration, among them John Locke, Thomas Paine, Thomas Reid, and other documents such as the English Bill of Rights, the Dutch Oath of Abjuration, etc.

• In his life Jefferson was a Jurist, diplomat, writer, inventor, philosopher, architect, gardener, and negotiator of the Louisiana Purchase.

What Pursuit of Happiness Means

• Thomas Jefferson believed that “Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” are rights that you were born with.

• The right to pursue any legal activity as long as it does not infringe on the rights of others.

My Pursuit of Happiness

Calvine High School

• I like attending this school because it is much easier to focus.

• The students here are pretty cool… at least the ones I know.

• The teachers are really easy to talk to and explain things well.

Out Door Activities

• I enjoy wakeboarding and rock climbing in my free time.

• These things are always more enjoyable when I do them with one or more of my really close friends.

The Best Thing About Me Is That I Am Funny

• People tell my I am funny, I believe I am because I am so random. I am especially random when I have had a lot of sugar or an energy drink. My belief is that two things about me that make people laugh is that I am incredibly clumsy and forgetful.

My Most Important Individual Right

• The most important right to me is Freedom. It is the most important to me because in foreign nations you may be prosecuted for saying something or writing something but in the U.S. you are free to write or say what you want as long as it doesn’t harm anyone.

Citizens Responsibilities

• Citizens responsibilities include obeying laws, paying taxes, jury duty, serving as a witness, registering for the draft and voting.

Making The World A Better Place

• 1. Understand What’s Happening. 2. Imagine What’s Possible. 3. Know Yourself. 4. Converse and Tell Stories. 5. Be an Activist or Pioneer. 6. Create a Model Community. 7. Be Good to Yourself.

My Future

• In five years I see myself finishing college and working on starting my career as an automotive technician. Also I see myself spending time with my wonderful friends and traveling with them to beautiful exotic places.
