WHY A SPORTS AGENT?

Graduated from Haverford College in 1976 and from the University of Michigan Law School in 1979

COLLEGE YEARS

AFTER COLLEGE

• He began his career as an attorney at Manatt, Phelps, Rothenberg, and Tunney

• He specialized in sports law and commercial litigation

In 1981 he signed his first athlete, pitcher Mark Langston

He also served as general council for six years with the San Diego Clippers

HIS TIME AS AN ATTORNEY

In 1989 he launched his own agency called Tellem and Associates

SFX Sports later bought his agency in 1999 In 2006 Arn joined Wasserman Media Group with a

client base of about 50 MLB players and 50 NBA players

DOING HIS OWN THING

1. Having his clients die at young ages and having to attend their funeral

2. Dealing with clients who’s court cases involve the use of performance enhancing drugs

HIS BIGGEST CHALLENGES

An average day entails putting together a travel schedule, researching players, and constantly calling GMs and teams

Being a sports agent is a 24/7 jobMost agents do a lot of traveling to and from different

states to meet with clients, future clients, and many different teams
