advert idea one final

My first idea is that I would dress up like Kesha who is popular with the 12-14 market, and I am going to be interviewed on the red carpet by a news reporter and the news reporter is going to ask me “where do I buy my clothes” and I say “that I don’t buy my own clothes I customize my old ones to make them new” and then the reporter will have glitter thrown at her and what she was wearing before will change into a new sparkly outfit. This will appeal to the 12-14 markets because kesha is popular with them according to recent poles, so by having her as the main focus of the advert they will aspire to her and want to recycle their clothes, of course they will now it isn't really kesha in the advert but that is the point if a parody, its comical yet it has a serious point behind it, and children of that age market like humorous adverts because it grabs their attention more then an advert that is serious and boring to

This will appeal to the 12-14 markets because kesha is popular with them according to recent poles, so by having her as the main focus of the advert they will aspire to her and want to recycle their clothes, of course they will now it isn't really kesha in the advert but that is the point if a parody, its comical yet it has a serious point behind it, and children of that age market like humorous adverts because it grabs their attention more then an advert that is serious and boring to watch.

My aim is to make 12-14 year olds understand that recycling your clothes is a good idea, and to make it seem fun to them to customize their old clothes to make them new instead of throwing them out, and that there are better ways to deal with unwanted clothes then just throwing them away, when there are so many other uses to unwanted clothes, for example if I T-Shirt is to small for you and you cant ware it anymore, you could give it to someone else who it would fit or make something new out of it like for example, a pair of clothes or some cute bows for your hair.

The message I want to send to 12 to 14 year olds is that when you buy clothes you shouldn’t just ware them once and throw them away, you should ware them again and again or give them to charity or even customize them to make them new. I will use techniques such as celebrity endorsements but also using humor, so in my advert there isn't actually going to be a celebrity but someone pretending to be one in a comical way; most teenagers like comical things to make them laugh this is why I think this is the best way to get threw to them. Most recycling adverts use the shock factor or even fear to get their message across but most people don’t like feeling guilty or feared into doing something, they should feel like its something fun to do and that is the message I want to get across, that recycling clothes doesn’t have to be boring you can make it as fun as you want it to be.

Also I would like to use some younger people in the advert from the 12 to 14 age group, so the children can relate to the advert because there are children of the same age in the advert.

I would like to use cameras to film the advert and also some still shots (pictures) I will use a program called I Movie to edit my advert and add in music and also titles and credits.

The reason why I would like to film instead of using Stop Motion is because I want the advert to explain things and also have the actors talk during the advert and I think filming is the best way to do that.

I will use celebrity endorsements because most teenagers aspire to celebrities so by using one in my advert, the children will see that it can be fun and anyone can do it, but there is one problem, I don’t know any celebrities, so instead of using a real celebrity I am going to pretend to be one so its also using the comical factor, and children prefer to see an advert that is fun and interesting then an advert that is scaring them into doing something; the celebrity I am using is Kesha because she is popular with this age group and also she has her own unique style that most teenagers want; so by showing her recycling her clothes they will want to try it for themselves, this is also influencing their creative side.

The locations I might include are within the school grounds, for one part of my advert I am on the red carpet dressed as Kesha and so I need somewhere a little dark so the flash cameras will look better in the background, I am thinking of maybe using a green screen to add a background so it looks like I am on the red carpet, throughout the advert.
