“Switch Your Thinking” Competition – WINNER!!
During National Recycling week Boyanup Primary
School was recognised for its recycling commitments and activities. Back in March, Boyanup Primary School was invited to register for the competition “Switch Your Thinking”, which involved schools and organisations from across the state to share how they have reinvented everyday items by recycling them, rather than sending such items to landfill. This was a perfect opportunity for our school to show case what we have done to support recycling. Ms Lewis and Linda compiled a list of all those things that have been recycled around the school. Congratulations!

During November the Lorikeets learnt about the
life cycle of chickens. We were lent an incubator
and given some fertile eggs by Holly Cant and
Katie Stubbs. We crossed off the days on our
calendar and read books all about the lifecycle of
chickens. Our first chick started pecking open its
shell on Monday 20th November and by Tuesday
afternoon there were 3 chicks safely hatched. By
Wednesday afternoon we had 28 chirping chicks
and some very excited children!! The chicks
were all sold with the money going towards the
school’s Waste Wise program.
Information packages went home on Monday to each family including 2018 Booklists, Contribution and Charges Booklet and Uniform Order Form.
Please Note: if you would like the Donnybrook Newsagency to organise your children’s Booklist, completed forms must be returned to the front office by
Friday 8th December 2017.
Payments must be made directly to the Donnybrook Newsagency via Direct Debit, Cheque or Eftpos (upon collection from 22nd January 2018). Refer to 2018 Booklist Form for details.
Volunteers Thank You Morning Tea

On Monday 20th November the Boyanup Primary School held a morning tea to thank all the wonderful
people who have volunteered throughout the year to make our school the wonderful place that it is.
