EXTENSION PROGRAM: THE PLACE TO BE

For more than 16 years the Extension Program has been offering its students an exceptional academic experience. We propose not only a high quality, full-fledged linguistic program but one that during the week also covers all the aspects of theAmerican culture through its traditions and history.Throughout the years, we have established a reputation of excellence and hard work thanks to ourteam of teaching professionals whom are all mothertongue speakers and hold a teaching degree; the majority of which also hold a Masters from the UnitedStates educational system and are trained in teaching theEnglish language and not just English as a foreign language. At the start of each Summer Camp, theyprove themselves with innovation and creativity inestablishing an original linguistic approach that bringsout the maximum learning potential in each student infunction with their aptitude while motivating them witha constructive critical eye, imagination and makingthem feel part of the group. Our mission: to give eachlanguage learner the necessary tools that will help themdevelop their individual talents and groom them intobuilding their individual path towards success.

NEW YORK, NEW YORKFolklore states that the Dutch may have purchasedthe Island of Manhattan from the AmericanIndians for a handfull of dollars and a few simple trinkets. Its nickname, « The Big Apple »comes from a variety of sources. One dates backto the 1920’s, during the Great Depression, whenthe Streets of New York were filled with bankersstill dressed in suits yet reduced to selling apples.Another potential source is a Harlem Jazz clubcalled « The Big Apple » that was for manymusicians, the sure fast track to stardom.Broadway, one of the most famous avenues in theworld, and Central Park are just two of a long listof places of interest to see in this mégapole of 8million inhabitants. NYC is a melting pot of cultural diversity and contrasts; a symbol ofwealth with its skyscrapers as big and tall as theAmerican legend itself. On your feet !
