    ADYCSince the restructure of the ADYC in 2011 we haverecognised the need for a youth ministry strategy and avision has been developed. We provide opportunities forthe youth of our Diocese through 6 main areas, which are;

    Faith Development in Parishes, Faith Development inSchools, Diocesan Faith Awards, Pilgrimages,Communication and Leadership.DIOCESAN YOUTH DIRECTOR DERMOT KELLY

    CdCd was set up in 2003 by the Catholic Church in theDiocese of Clogher. The main aim of Cd is to provideactivities, events and programmes for young people bothat diocesan and parish level. Our objective is to inspireyoung people to grow in confidence, self esteem andfaith.DIOCESAN YOUTH DIRECTOR MATTHEW MCFADDEN

    WE HAD AN IDEA in recent times ADYC (ArmaghDiocesan Youth Commission) & Cd (Clogher don Oige)attended a leadership development course at Greenhill

    YMCA Centre, Newcastle. We were totally inspired bythe great outdoors and the facilities on offer.The idea for a summer camp was born. The campwould provide opportunities for boys and girls aged12-14 to come together, have fun, make friends and togrow in faith.

    LeadersAll leaders have been vetted and fully trained. All leaders areexperienced youth workers. Leaders will ensure a safe, caringand fun environment for participants. Leaders must adhere todiocesan safeguarding policies, procedures and code ofconduct. Participants will have an individual group leader towhom they can bring any concerns. We aim to take 40 youngpeople aged 12 to 14 to the camp. Accompanying them will be 6to 8 leaders, ensuring a ratio of at least 1 leader to every 7participants.

    ContractA contract, guidelines and rules will be agreed with pilgrims atthe first meeting of leaders and participants. Leaders andparticipants must adhere to these agreed contracts.

    EmergenciesSenior leaders will have emergency contact mobile phonesshould parents need to contact leaders in the case of anemergency.

    Information SessionAll parents will be invited to attend a Parental InformationEvening. You will have an opportunity to meet the leaders and toask any questions that you might have about the trip. In themeantime do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questionsor concerns.
