HELP US CREATE A 2021 CCJ BIRD LIST!COVID sadly put our popular CCJ bird walks on hold. Our Environment Committee is appealing to all members to please help us compile a comprehensive list of bird sightings at CCJ during the course of 2021. This list has already been established on a BirdLasser platform and sightings are currently being logged.
This is an easy and fun way to become more involved in CCJ birding whether you are a novice or a serious ‘twitcher’. For more information select the links below.

MEET CATHY
HOW CAN I HELP YOU? Cathy Robertson has been a part of the CCJ Family for 13 years and has recently moved into the role of Membership Manager. After settling into the role, she now invites Members to contact her for any Membership related enquiries.
One of the newest elements she brings to the role is a monthly feature in the CCJ Newsletter whereby she will cover some interesting benefits which Members have once they have been elected. These include the incredible facilities we offer, how children of Members 12 - 17 years don’t pay subscriptions, how spouses benefit from discounted subscriptions and much more.
In the interim, should you have any questions pertaining to your Membership, or wish to invite friends and family to join our Club, feel free to contact Cathy and she will happily assist you.

CLUBCUB
As a family-orientated Club, CCJ works hard to provide events and activities that cater to every family member. The young ones are encouraged to participate in a variety of sporting disciplines, as well as fun events such as the camp-outs and family fun days (when COVID regulations allow).
The age at which children can qualify for CCJ membership is 12 years. We therefore launched a sub club exclusive to children aged 4-11yrs called CCJ Cubs. The objective of the CCJ Cubs programme is to give more structure and cohesion to the various activities and events on offer to this age group. The cost is R200 once off fee. When the child turns 12 they will need to apply for full membership. If the Parents end their membership the Cub’s membership will also end. Cubs must have a parent who is a Member.
Parents can register their children at either of the clubs reception desks. Their photograph will be taken for their exclusive CCJ Cub Card which will also carry their name.
Enquiries can be directed to the reception desks or Nikki Espley-Jones: [email protected] | 011 710 6406.
