Isaiah 31:4

• “For thus hath the LORD spoken unto me, Like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the LORD of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof”.

• Mount Zion (Jerusalem) = Israel.

• Roar of Christ = Christ’s wrath against Satanic agencies

• Seven = completeness

• Thunder = message of brewing storm. Spiritual conflict/war.

1 Sam 2:10 :

• “The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the LORD shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed”.

• Voice of seven thunders = complete message of the events

of final storm/conflict.

Rev 10:4:

•“ And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.”

• John instructed to seal message of events of the 7 thunders.

• Events delineated in the prophecies of Daniel 600 years before & sealed.

The Proclamation of the Seven Thunders

“The mighty angel who instructed John was no less a personage than Jesus Christ……..

…..”He cries with a loud voice. He is to show the power and authority of His voice to those who have united with Satan to oppose the truth. After these seven thunders uttered their voices, the injunction comes to John as to Daniel in regard to the little book: "Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered" (Revelation 10:4). These relate to future events which will be disclosed in their order. Daniel shall stand in his lot at the end of the days. John sees the little book unsealed. Then Daniel's prophecies have their proper place in the first, second, and third angels' messages to be given to the world……“The books of Daniel and the Revelation are one. One is a prophecy, the other a revelation; one a book sealed, the other a book opened. John heard the mysteries which the thunders uttered, but he was commanded not to write them. The special light given to John which was expressed in the seven thunders was a delineation of events which would transpire under the first and second angels' messages….”.1MR 99.3} 1900.

Rev. 10:10 “And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up…. 10:11 And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.”

• The sealed portions of message of Daniel 8,11-12 are to be proclaimed to whole world ( including kings of the earth).

• The proclamation of these sealed portions linked to the messages of the three angels of Revelation 14.

• Rev 14:6: “And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people”

The Proclamation of the Seven Thunders

• The two witnesses to proclaim the message of warning in anguish, lamentation and warning (dressed in sackcloth) in Revelation 11 during time of Judgement.

• “The church will yet see troublous times. She will prophesy in sackcloth. But although she must meet heresies and persecutions, although she must battle with the infidel and the apostate, yet by the help of God she is bruising the head of Satan. The Lord will have a people as true as steel, and with faith as firm as the granite rock. They are to be His

witnesses in the world, His instrumentalities.” T4, 594.

• “The Lord calls for His people to locate away from the cities, for in such an hour as ye think not, fire and brimstone will be rained from heaven upon these cities. Proportionate to their sins will be their visitation……. Let all who would understand the meaning of these things read the eleventh chapter of Revelation. Read every verse, and learn the things that are yet to take place in the cities. Read also the scenes portrayed in the eighteenth chapter of the same book.—MR 1518 (May 10, 1906)”.

• The seven thunders relate to events of war and conflict in Dan 8; Dan 10 – 12. (Dan 11-12 an enlargement of Dan. 8).

“ The visions he saw by the banks of the Ulai and the Hiddekel, the great rivers of Shinar, are now in process of fulfillment, and all the events foretold will soon have come to pass”. MR 16 ,334.

“ We have no time to lose. Troublous times are before us. The world is stirred with the spirit of war. Soon the scenes of trouble spoken of in the prophecies will take place. The prophecy in the eleventh of Daniel has nearly reached its complete fulfillment. Much of the history that has taken place in fulfillment of this prophecy will be repeated…... Let all read and understand the prophecies of this book, for we are now entering upon the time of trouble spoken of:” [Daniel 12:1-4, quoted.] Letter 103, 1904 .

“The people of God need to study what characters they must form in order to pass through the test and proving of the last days. Many are living in spiritual weakness and backsliding. They know not what they believe. Let us read and study the twelfth chapter of Daniel. It is a warning that we shall all need to understand before the time of the end.” MR 15pg 228.1903

Rev 10:5 “And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,

10:6 And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:

10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets”.

The Seventh Trumpet. Rev .11.15-19.

Rev 11:15 “And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

11:16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,

11:17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O LORD God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.

11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

11:19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.”
