Provides for Our Retired Priests
Over the past weeks you have been hearing about the
historic Living Our Mission campaign. This campaign
will not only allow us to raise funds for our
extraordinary local needs, it will also enable us to grow
the larger ministries of our Catholic Church of which
we are all called to support. One of these ministries is
providing for our retired priests.
After devoting their life in service to the Church, it is
right that we honor the sacrifice of our priests and
show our appreciation for their service by helping
them retire with dignity. As priests live longer and
healthcare costs continue to escalate, this need has
increased dramatically. To ensure that this need is
addressed, the campaign will secure $8 million to
provide health and long-term care for priests as well as
additional funds to the Priest Pension Plan to aid in
sufficiently funding the plan.
Congratulations to the winner of the Car Raffle
Mr. Tom Clifford of Palmyra He selected a 2016 KIA Sportage, and we wish his much happiness with his prize.
I thank all who were involved in helping to make our Car Raffle a success. In particular, Mr. Sandy Fewell, Chief Operating Officer of Jim Price Auto Group, who provided generous assistance with the raffle. Also, Mike Phillips, General Manager Price KIA, and Catherine Arnold, Sales representative. A special thank you to Will Kulick and Dave Seal of Blue Ridge Graphics, who provided advertising posters. I extend my gratitude to all who purchased a ticket, and as a result, the success of this fund raising effort.5 Through the joint efforts of all, the Building Fund realized a profit of $3,950.

33-DAY CONSECRATION TO DIVINE MERCY
In his article, “Help Save the World”, Father Chris Alar, MIC (director of the Association of Marian Helpers in Stockbridge, MA) asks us: “Do you want to help save the world? Do you
want to help bring the world back to God? Do you want to
cause an ocean of Mercy to overwhelm the raging inferno
of hatred, violence and war that have engulfed the world
at this time?”
If your answer is yes, here is what he suggests you do: Get the
consecration book “33 Days to Merciful Love”, A Do-It-Yourself Retreat in Preparation for Consecration to Divine Mercy, written by Father Michael Gaitley, MIC, author of “The Second Greatest Story Ever Told” (and many other books). The price for the Consecration book is your donation (even if it is only $1.00) plus $5.25 for shipping. This special offer will be in effect until March 1. To order, contact: marian.org/merciful or call 1-800-462-
7426 and use Product Code B29F-33DML (one per
household, Continental US only!)
On Divine Mercy Sunday, Father Alar will be hosting the live EWTN broadcast from the National Shrine of the Divine
Mercy in Stockbridge, beginning at Noon (EST).
Father Michael will also be present as a guest and the priests will consecrate themselves to the Divine Mercy and invite all visitors and viewers to join them in this consecration. Father Alar believes that this will be “… the largest personal consecration ever” and that “…it will bring down from Heaven an ocean of mercy for the whole world.”
Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of a great historical event and invite all your friends, family members, neighbors (believers and non-believers) to join in! God bless!!!
