Mater Dei’s Marian RouteDay 1: Friday, October 11th:!Depart Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport. Meet your Mater Dei Tours/ Twin Cities Pilgrims representative at Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport (Packaged airfare is available from Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota. Contact us for air transportation add-on costs from other cities). After connecting in Philadelphia, board your Europe bound flight. (M)

Day 2: Saturday, October 12th:! Arrive in Barcelona + Montserrat. Arrive in Barcelona, Spain and enjoy a panoramic tour (from the bus) of the largest city in the proud autonomous region of Cataluña. From the bus, see Gaudi’s famous Sagrada Familia as well as the Gothic Cathedral, Plaza de Cataluña, Plaza de Colón, the renown Basilica of Our Lady of Ransom (Nuestra Señora de la Merced) and the famous Ramblas. Then head west to climb the bulbous mountain range outside Barcelona to visit the magnificent Marian Monastery of Montserrat. A Mass* in thanksgiving for a safe voyage, is celebrated at La Merced or Montserrat. Check-in to our hotel and enjoy a welcome dinner with your group. (M, D)

Day 3 : Sunday, October 13 th : Monserrat + Barcelona. After breakfast visit the image of Our Lady of Montserrat up close (above the Altar), continue to the amazing Cambril Chapel for a Marian meditation followed by Holy Mass*. Lunch will be served at the Abat Cisneros Restaurant on the monastery grounds. After lunch climb to the tallest peak on-board the “Funicular de Sant Joan” (St. John’s inclined mountain train) to enjoy majestic views of Cataluña. Return to Barcelona for dinner and a spectacular view of the city at night. (B, L, D)

Day 4: Monday, October 14th: Toulouse + Lourdes. Enjoy the scenic landscapes as you depart Spain and cross into France on your way to Toulouse, France. Here we will celebrate Mass* at the Jacobin Church housing the tomb of St. Thomas Aquinas. After Mass continue on to Lourdes, France the apparition site of The Immaculate Conception to young Bernadette. Check into our hotel in Lourdes, freshen up and join your fellow pilgrims for dinner at our hotel. After dinner walk to the Lourdes Sanctuary for a brief orientation. Then join pilgrims from around the world for the candlelight Rosary procession at 9:00pm. (B, D)

Day 5: Tuesday, October 15th: Lourdes. Start a special day with Holy Mass* at the Grotto, at the very spot where the apparitions occurred! (Mass will be con-celebrated with other English speaking priests). Afterwards enjoy a walking tour of Lourdes, including Sanctuary sights like the famous “Baths”, the Basilica of St. Pius X, the Basilica of The Immaculate Conception, and several other sites. The tour continues to the town of Lourdes where we visit St. Bernadette’s birthplace (The Mill), The Cashot (the prison cell where the family had to move to later on), Sacred Heart Parish (the church where she was Baptized) and its crypt (where the tomb of Fr. Peyramale is located), and a few other places of importance. Leisure afternoon follows for personal prayer, Confession, shopping or relaxation. Enjoy dinner at our hotel before joining pilgrims from around the world at the candle-lit Rosary Procession. (B, D)

Day 6: Wednesday, October 16th:!Lourdes. After breakfast our final full day in Lourdes begins with Mass*. Afterwards, you may opt for a morning at leisure in Lourdes, take the time to go to the baths, participate in personal devotions, or Confessions. After lunch you may decide to join the group to experience the Way of the Cross with the life-size stations beautifully set on the hill above the shrine. Meet in the center of the Shrine for the 5:00pm Blessed Sacrament Procession with Eucharistic Adoration. Join you fellow pilgrims for dinner at the hotel. Join pilgrims from all over the world one last time for the candle-lit Rosary Procession. (B, D)

Day 7: Thursday, October 17th:!Crossing of the Pyrenees to the Shrine of Torreciudad in Spain. Our memorable visit to Lourdes ends as we embark on an unforgettable journey that promises to be a visual feast, crossing the Pyrenees Mountain Range. Prepare your cameras as we ascend the French Pyrenees through small and picturesque ski resort villages encountered along the way. After crossing the border into Spain through the Bielsa tunnel, slowly descend through majestic sights of the Aragonian Pyrenees. Follow the current of the mountain waters until we arrive at Torreciudad, one of the most beautiful Marian Shrines in all of Spain. Travel through the spectacular landscape surrounding the sanctuary and the Hermitage, dating back to the Romanic times. Set above the clouds in the Aragonian Pyrenees, Torreciudad has been a local pilgrimage site for centuries. Upon arrival, there is a brief tour of Torreciudad including the famous Virgin Mary’s of the World exhibit, the main church and the Blessed Sacrament chapel with the famous Christ of Torreciudad. After the tour, Holy Mass* is celebrated in one of the beautiful chapels. Tonight enjoy Aragonian cuisine at our mountain Lodge nestled in the Somontano wine region. (B,L,D)

Day 9: Saturday, October 19th: Tour de Madrid. Start the day with a short walk to the Royal Palace area known as the Austrian Madrid, very visible in its architecture and parks. The royal family of Spain was the same as Austria’s (House of Habsburg). Next to the palace is the massive Cathedral of the “Almudena”, dedicated to the Virgin Mary (Mass* celebrated

here). Walk through some of Madrid’s old streets where we find places unique to its history. During this walk we arrive at Plaza Mayor, the most famous square in Madrid, and nearby Plaza Mayor we find the Puerta del Sol, the central square of Madrid where the “Madrileños” gather on New year’s Eve to “eat the 12 grapes”. After a lunch break, board your coach for a panoramic drive of Madrid’s most famous sights like "Puerta de Alcalá", the “Paseo del Prado”, Cibeles Fountain, and Neptune’s Fountain. Enjoy a guided visit of what is popularly rated as the 3rd best collection of art in the world, the Museum of El Prado.! After the museum visit, view “La Gran Via” (the Great Way ~ Madrid’s Time Square) from the bus on your way back to our hotel. Enjoy a leisure night in Madrid (Dinner on your own at one of the many unique cafes and restaurants in the historic district). (B)

Day 10: Sunday, October 20th: Tour of Avila. Head north for the walled city of Avila, the land of St. Teresa de Jesus, the reformer of the Carmelite Order and first female Doctor of the Church. Visit the Castilian Sanctuary of Our Lady of Sonsoles for Mass*. Afterwards, travel inside the medieval walls to enjoy an unforgettable walking tour of Avila featuring the life of

St. Teresa. Visit her home (now a church and monastery) and the place of her birth (now a chapel) and walk by her Baptismal church, see one of the first schools she at tended, v is i t the Encarnación Monastery where she lived from 1535 to 1574. See her cell and the place where St. John of the Cross visited her as well as the confessional where St. John listened to confessions. Walk to the Convent of St. Joseph, her first

foundation. In addition to the sites of St. Teresa, you will learn and see much of the historical city of Avila. Before departing Avila visit the famous “Cuatro Postes” (four posts), a famous spot in the life of young St. Teresa and a great panoramic spot to take a picture of the city. Return to Madrid and join your fellow pilgrims in a Farewell Dinner and our final night in Madrid. (B,D)

Day 11: Monday, October 21st, 2013: Return to USA. (B, M) Early morning transfer to Madrid’s Barajas Airport. As our plane takes off, take one last look out the window at the unique landscape of these beautiful lands and say: Thank you Mary! Merci Marie! ¡Gracias Maria!

Day 8: Friday, October 18th: Torreciudad - El Pilar - Madrid. Start the day with Holy Mass*at Torreciudad. Before departing Torreciudad, fulfill the local pilgrimage tradition of kissing the medallion that once graced the very old statue of Our Lady of Torreciudad. Also enjoy a picture gallery of the life of St. Josemaria Escriva, the founder of Opus Dei who was brought to this sanctuary as a 2 year-old baby. Afterwards, travel to Zaragoza (Saragossa), the Capital of Aragon. Our visit features the world famous Marian Shrine of the “Basilica de Nuestra Señora del Pilar” (Our Lady of the Pillar), where Our Blessed Mother appeared standing on top of a Pillar to the apostle St. James. It is reputed to be the first e v e r r e c o r d e d apparition of Mary. This event happened while James was on his famous apostolic mission to Spain k n o w n a s t h e “ C a m i n o d e Santiago” (Road of St. James). In the massive Plaza del Pilar (Pilar Square), visit the chapel in the Basilica where the Pillar still stands (this is also the site of St. Josemaría’s first Mass after Ordination). As a sign of fulfillment of your pilgrimage to Our Lady of the Pillar, you will have the opportunity to practice the local custom of kissing the venerable column (or Pillar) where Our Lady once stood. Then travel from Aragon to Castilla La Mancha, and finally into the Community of Madrid, where the great city of Madrid, the Capital of Spain is located. Relax at our group dinner and enjoy a 3 night stay in Madrid. (B, D)

General Terms & ConditionsPurchaser and/or traveler of this tour (you) acknowledges that Landa Cleary Travel Company, Inc. (d.b.a = doing business as Mater Dei Tours and Relevant Journeys) is acting as an independent intermediary (travel agent) between you and suppliers of goods and services, which are not directly supplied by Landa Cleary Travel Co., Inc., such as air transportation, hotel accommodations, ground and sea transportations, tours, tour guides, escorts, etc. and shall not be responsible for actions or omissions on the part of such suppliers, which may result in any loss, damage, delay or injury to you or your travel companions or group members. Landa Cleary Travel Company, Inc. and any religious or private organization contracting it’s services shall not be responsible for any injuries, damages or losses caused to any traveler in connection with social or labor unrest, mechanical or construction difficulties, diseases, local laws, climatic conditions, war, terrorist activities or any other actions omissions, or conditions outside their control.

By embarking upon his/her travel, the traveler(s) voluntarily assumes all the risks, and is advised to obtain appropriate insurance coverage against them. Your booking shall constitute a consent to the above and engaging the company, acknowledges these conditions and agrees to hold the company blameless in making the arrangements of his/her behalf, and agrees that restitution or damages, if any are claimed, shall be sought directly from the suppliers.

Deposits: A deposit of $500 per person is required to secure your space to Landa Cleary Travel Company, Inc. Deposits will be refunded in the event the tour does not meet the minimum quorum necessary to make the trip possible. If you use a credit card as payment, you agree that if any cancellation penalties are due, Landa Cleary Travel Co., Inc. is authorized to charge the penalties to your credit card above. Final Payments: Full payment must be made no later than 100 days prior to departure unless otherwise stated. Payments may be made by check, Visa or MasterCard. If payment is not received as scheduled, your reservation may be automatically canceled and your deposit payment becomes forfeit. If you use a credit card as payment, for your convenience, you may opt to have Landa Cleary Travel Co., Inc. charge your balance to the same authorized credit card on the registration form by simply calling us with your verbal authorization. Tour Membership: To ensure a positive experience, the Landa Cleary Travel Co., Inc. reserves the right to reject any client whose conduct is incompatible with the interest of the group. Landa Cleary Travel Co., Inc. is not responsible for lost persons and for the expenses incurred while being lost. Each traveler assumes responsibility for staying with the group. Cancellations: All cancellations must be received in writing to our company prior to tour departure during normal business hours (9:00am to 5:00pm CST, Mondays through Fridays). All Cancellations are subject to the following per person penalties prior to departure:• 95 days or prior $500.00• 94 to 65 days 50% of tour• 64 to 35 days 75% of tour• 34 to 0 days No Refunds

No refund can be made for independent non-refundable airfare.

Travelers with Special Needs: Passengers who require attention must advise the tour operator at the time of booking. A qualified and physically able companion must accompany travelers who need such assistance and must assume full responsibility for their well being. Coaches are not equipped with wheelchair accessible ramps, therefore all tour members must be able to mount 3 to 5 steps into the coach. Participants should expect to walk between 1 and 3 miles in one day. Walking surfaces may at times be uneven. Landa Cleary Travel Co., Inc. is not responsible for denial of service by any suppliers.

Young Travelers: Travelers who are less than 18 years old on the departure date must be accompanied by an adult and must share the adult's accommodations. If a child will be traveling with adults other than the parents or with only one parent, it is highly recommended that a notarized letter be written by the parents or non-traveling parent granting authorization to travel, including the dates of travel. We suggest that you also contact the appropriate consulate and airlines because they may have additional requirements.Air Transportation: We have selected airlines that are most suitable with land arrangements. All fares are subject to government approval and are subject to change without notice. Airfares are guaranteed once they have been paid in full and ticketed. Name changes required after tickets have been issued are subject to cancellation and re-ticketing at a higher fare and subject to change fees. Some airlines do not allow you to earn frequent flier miles for group bookings. Airline Seating: Passengers who require specific seating due to medical conditions need to obtain Doctor’s Orders so the airlines have proof of the condition and may accommodate the order. Passengers who desire a specific non-medical related seat are requested to contact the airline directly 30 days prior to departure for preferred seating. Group seating is solely under control of the airline. Voluntary changes to itinerary: Independent voluntary changes to an individual passenger’s itinerary are usually not permitted by most of our tour suppliers. Some exceptions may be granted in a case-by-case basis. If passenger purchased a land only package, they are free to plan their own itinerary before or after the trip (read Land Only bookings for restrictions). All change requests must be made prior to 45 days before departure.Not Included: All items of a personal nature (room service, beverages, telephone charges, laundry, etc) and meals not specified on the tour itinerary are not included and must be paid by the passenger. Accommodations and Itinerary: Land arrangements are provided as described in the tour program. The tour company reserves the right to change or substitute (1) hotels for accommodations in similar categories (2) or features of the itinerary in order to accommodate changes in the schedule. Meals: Meals are provided as specified in the tour program. If you require special meals due to dietary restrictions, we must receive written details of your requirements at the time of booking. We cannot guarantee your requested diet but every effort will be made to accommodate these requests. Passports: Obtaining a passport is the sole responsibility of the passenger. Passports must be current and valid beyond the dates of travel. Your airline ticket name must match your passport name or you may be denied boarding the airplane. Passengers who are denied boarding due to discrepancies between ticket and passport names or because of expired passports accept full responsibility and are subject to the cancellation terms of the tour. Some countries such as Israel require that your passport expiration be 6 months beyond your travel dates. Smoking: Smoking is not allowed on the motor-coach but frequent stops are made throughout the day.Tips: Gratuities for baggage, hotel and restaurants detailed in the itinerary are included. Gratuities for Tour Guides, Local Guides and Motor-coach Drivers are NOT included – please see your “essential Reading” (provided with confirmation) for recommendations on tipping. Please budget accordingly.

Total Group Cancellation: If it becomes necessary to cancel an entire tour prior to departure, Landa Cleary Travel Co., Inc. will offer the next available date or will make a full refund of money paid. Landa Cleary Travel Co., Inc. cannot accept responsibility for any additional costs, fees or cancellation penalties relating to any independent non-refundable airfares (unless air reservation was booked as part of our negotiated group booking). Land Only Bookings: Passenger(s) who desire to book their own airfare do at their own risk. Land only passengers are responsible for connecting with the group at the hotel. Passenger(s) accept all responsibility for costs incurred due to misconnections with the group. Landa Cleary Travel Co., Inc. cannot accept responsibility for any additional costs or fees relating to such a booking or for any cancellation penalties due to independent non-refundable airfare (even if Landa Cleary Travel Co. Inc. assisted with this booking). Luggage: Handling of one piece of luggage per person is included in the cost of this tour wherever luggage service is offered (some hotels do not have bell captains). Luggage is carried at owner’s risk throughout the tour (insurance suggested). Hand baggage and small articles such as coats, umbrellas or cameras are entirely in the care of the passenger. Size and weight limitations for carry-on and checked baggage vary from airline to airline and even according to destination, and are becoming more restrictive. All baggage and personal effects are at all times and in all circumstances at the risk of the passenger. Baggage insurance is recommended.

Validity: Rates in this brochure are valid for the travel period stated on the brochure, and are quoted on a per person sharing twin/double room basis. All prices are show in U.S. Dollars and are calculated on currency rates and fares exiting on February 14, 2013.
