EditorialThe Journal Celebrates an Anniversary
This year we are marking the 25th anniversary of Environmental and Molecular Mutagenesis. Youalready may have noticed the silver on the Journal’s cover. In order to celebrate this occasion, severalprojects are under way that should make this an outstanding year. First, Guest Editor Martina Veiglis assembling a collection of papers based on presentations made at the “Impact of the Environmenton Colon Cancer” conference held in conjunction with the 2003 EMS meeting. Most of these paperswill appear in an upcoming issue; however, the paper by Peters and colleagues in the present issuecontains data presented at the conference and serves as a preview. Later in the year, we will start asecond series of invited papers that will continue into the first part of 2005. Suzanne Morris is servingas the Guest Editor for this anniversary collection by leading scientists in environmental mutagenesisthat will reflect on where we have been in the last 25 years and provide insight into where our scienceis heading. This year the Journal also is scheduled to begin on-line submission and review ofmanuscripts. Check out our web site at www3.interscience.wiley.com/cgi-bin/jhome/10009058 for theposting of these tools, and please take advantage of them.
