Virtual Learning Professional Development Series

“Every Teacher is a Virtual Teacher”

Tuesday August 18, 2020 – Monday, August 24, 2020

Purpose: To create robust learning experiences for all teachers to ensure they are equipped with the skills, knowledge and technology to design and facilitate dynamic virtual instruction for all learners.

Professional Learning Delivery Method (all teachers and instructional staff)

Teachers will participate in-person at their designated school sites (observing social distancing protocols.) All professional learning will utilize a Blended Learning framework, with synchronous and asynchronous virtual content. Session will be streamed via Microsoft Live. Principals and AICs will act as additional facilitators at the school site to support and manage learning and deliverables.

Micro-Credentialing & Accountability

Each session has embedded accountability measures to gauge teacher understanding and engagement. Teachers will earn an SLPS micro-badge after the completion of each session of content. All teachers will have a set of action items and deliverables to complete to earn their St. Louis Public School Virtual Teacher Micro-Credential.
