Yesterday was Patrick’s first day at his new school. He was very nervous. He did not know anyone in the new school. His class teacher, Mrs Chin, introduced him to his class. ‘Good morning, everyone. We have a new pupil in our class. His name is Patrick. Let’s welcome him with open arms,’ said Mrs Chin. Patrick was seated in the front row of the class. A boy, who sat next to Patrick, introduced himself. His name was Jonathan. Jonathan was a friendly boy. Patrick liked him very much. Patrick went to the canteen during break time. He queued up at the food stall to wait for his turn. Suddenly, two boys cut in the line in front of Patrick. They stared at Patrick fiercely. Patrick was very angry. He told them to go back to the end of the line. The two boys got angry and scolded Patrick loudly. ‘Stop it! Stop bullying him,’ Jonathan shouted. He saw the incident and quickly went to help Patrick. The two boys stared fiercely at Jonathan. Then, they walked away. Jonathan and Patrick told Mrs Chin about the bullies. She caught the two boys and scolded them for their wrong doing. They apologized to Patrick and Jonathan.
