Hello, Serious Yogidetoxer. Being an intense, fiery, determined person, my first decade of seasonal detoxing was much more serious than it’s been lately.Most of this packet is a result of those serious years. And, while I’m being cheeky here, I must must admit that I’m glad I did all of those serious detoxes. I don’t regret a single one. Read through charts and the specific cleanses. Notice if one catches your eye. You can also experiment - mix and match.

There are a few golden rules:

Even if you’re on a liquid diet, drink at meal times. Have water, spice water, hot water, or lemon water between meals.Please don’t eat between meals. Eat enough at meals to make the stretch. If you eat emotionally, buy some Peelu gum, and go for a walk. Then, drink a large glass of water.The lighter the cleanse the more time you need for emotional detox. Plan ahead for what works with your schedule and life right now. The deeper the cleanse the more time you need for rest, meditation and self-care practices. No joke.

Spicy Lemonade Cleanse

Spicy Lemonade CleanseThe Spicy Lemonade Cleanse, a.k.a. The Master Cleanse, is best for those who are heavy and congested. This liquid monodiet of lemon juice, maple syrup and cayenne taken as a tea dissolves congestion throughout the body, cleanses the kidneys and the digestive system, purifies the glands, eliminates hardened waste in joints and muscles, and builds healthy blood.

The spicy lemonade is spicy, sweet and astringent. You get just enough calories to be active enough, though you’ll want to rest a bit in order to cope with the loss of daily solid food consumption.

This is because the specific mixture of the ingredients supplies very few calories that the body ultimately uses its stored energy in the form of fat.

Traditionally as a cleanse it’s done for 10 days, with using a morning salt water flush to kick off each morning. Done this way, it’s a deep cleanse. However, you can also just do it for a few days as part of the deep cleanse, or even use the spicy lemonade as a morning or evening liquid meal.

Recipe for 1 Jar of Spicy Lemonade4 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice4 Tbsp. maple syrup (B)1/8 tsp. cayenne4 cups waterDrink 2- 3 quarts per day, having only water in between. Drink as a meal, do not sip throughout the day.

Emerging from Spicy Lemonade Cleanse To break this fast: for 2 days drink 8 oz. servings of fresh (not pasteurized) orange juice as desired, diluted with water. On the 3rd day have OJ in the morning, raw fruit for lunch, and fruit or raw salad at night. The first day of the Post Master Cleanse should be composed of drinking fresh orange juice. Mix two tablespoons of maple syrup to every liter of orange juice. Orange juice helps your body get used to ordinary food. Also drink as much pure water as you need.

The second day is meant for consuming fruit and vegetable juices. There are several fruits and vegetables that are ideal for this purpose. You can also make vegetable soups for added variety.

On the third day, eat fruits and vegetables. Continue drinking plenty of water to help your digestion. Fruits and vegetables will help your digestive system adjust to a regular diet on the fourth day onwards.

On the fourth day and onwards, you should slowly revert to a normal, regular diet. During this stage, eat soft foods, such as grains, at first – basically foods that are easy on the stomach. Avoid meat and dairy products for a while since these foods can be harsh on your stomach during this phase. Don’t be in a hurry to eat the foods you’ve grown fond of; take your time and slowly get back to your regular diet.

The Kitchari Monodiet

The Kitchari Monodiet is the traditional Ayurvedic cleanse with mung beans, rice, vegetables and spices. Eating the same food daily creates the most stability for the mind, and gently allows the body to remove ama (toxins). It is satisfying, easy, and cleanses the palate along with deep tissue.

With this monodiet, you can change the proportions of carbs to protein by changing the amount of rice to beans. On this diet you will deeply awaken your sense of taste. Also advisable for those making major life changes, including releasing addictions and changing from processed foods to whole foods. Add cooked mung beans or lentils for more protein. Daily cooking required.

Oleation is deep! Only commit to the oleation/purgation process if you can commit to going deep and resting a lot. It will diminish your agni and demand a lot from your body. Do not oleate if you cannot take time off from your regular schedule. You must have time to rest and nurture yourself to do this correctly, without needing to rush out of the process. Do not do oleation therapy while you are menstruating!

The Overview:

10 day cleanse: 4 day pre-cleanse with internal oleation, 5th day, rest day, followed by 5 more days kitchari.

If you don’t like kitchari, have steamed rice and steamed vegetables. You can also make it into a soup.

Sprouted mung bean kitchari are more cleansing.

Split mung bean kitchari is more soothing.

Include a beet a day in your kitchari (golden or red) to help balance bile.

Balance the amount of vegetables in your kitchari to match your needs: more green vegetables makes it more cleansing.

Take Triphala before bed to help eliminate toxins from your gut and colon.

Ghee/Raisin Oleation RecipeThis is an easy way to take ghee: Soak overnight:

A small handful of raisins

Pinch of cinnamon and ginger

In the morning, blend this with the ghee (see amount in chart below). And drink.

Wait until a strong appetite returns before eating breakfast.

Flax + Sesame Seed Oleation Recipe

1/4 c. raw flax seeds

1/4 c. raw sesame seeds

Mix in skillet. When the first seed pops, grind in a coffee grinder. Take 1 tbsp. ground seeds 4x a day, after each meal or before bed.

Flax + Sesame Oil Oleation Recipe1 tsp. tahini

1 tsp. flax oil

Take 3-4 x day, before meals.

The toxins that are most harmful are fat-soluble, not water soluble. For a more profound level of detoxification, you need to mobilize and escort oil the fat-soluble toxins. Oleation happens in 2 ways:1. Skin - through oil massage2. Gut - through internal oleation

Internal oleation process The process of taking ghee or oils before a cleanse provides internal lubrication, which enables the ama or toxins begin to come back from the deep tissue to the gastrointestinal tract of elimination. This creates deep inner lubrication. If you have high cholesterol, use flax seed oil instead.

Oleation is before the deep detox, although it’s a deep detox experience in itself.

Eliminate all other fat intake on these days to enable your body to fully metabolize the oils. Flavor foods instead with miso soup broth, Bragg’s liquid aminos, vegetable broth, lemon juice, maple syrup, etc. Choose recipes from the recipe section, omitting any oil, ghee, nuts, or avocado.

Kitchari - Purge DayThe PurgeOn the eve of Day 4, eat an early, light dinner, or skip dinner. Before bed, take 2-4 tbsp. castor oil chased by a 1/2 c. fresh squeezed orange juice. Buy an organic, cold-pressed castor oil at the health food store.If you tend towards constipation use up to 4 tbsp. castor oil.

The castor oil will purge your entire digestive tract, rendering 6-10 bowel movements, perhaps with some bile in the bowels within 4 hours. If you don’t have 6 bowel movements, you can take more castor oil in the morning.

If you feel nauseous, chew on a dime slice of ginger root. Repeat as desired.

Don’t eat until after you have purged.

After your Purge The following recipes are what to eat when your earnest hunger returns after you purge with castor oil. Below is the traditional diet following the purge.

For those who don’t want to cook 4 pots of rice, you can make Cooked Rice, and then water it down according to the ratios. This Manda, Peya, Vilepi digestive recovery is standard Ayurvedic post-purge cuisine.

Rice Water (Manda)Manda means liquid. When purging, most people lose their appetite. Manda is the first meal to be taken when the appetite returns (four hours). It is basically water in which basmati is boiled. Use 14 parts of water to 1 part of Basmati rice. It should be served lukewarm with a tsp of ghee and a pinch of black salt.

Rice Soup (Peya)Peya means soup. Two to three hours later the patient should feel hungry again. Peya is a thin, light porridge. Make with eight parts water, one part rice. Cook until very soft.

Thick Rice Soup (Vilepi)Vilepi means thick soup. It should be served for the third and fourth meals. Cook with four parts water to one part rice. Add black salt, a pinch of raw sugar, and sautéed spices in ghee such as ginger, turmeric, cumin, coriander, and fennel.Cooked Rice (Odana)Odana means cooked rice. It is rice as we know it normally. It should be served at the fifth meal. Odana is cooked 2:1 water to grain.

Mung Dal Soup (Yusha)Of all lentils, mung daal is the easiest to digest. Yusha is rice with yellow mung dal added served as a soupy mixture for the 6th meal. Akrita yusha is without spices, fat and salt. Krita yusha is with spices, fat and salt. Use four parts water to 1 part basmati and 1/2 part split mung lentils. Recommended spices are black pepper, dry ginger, ghee, and salt.

Rice and Daal Mixture (Kitchari)A kitchari is any dish of rice and beans. Rice and beans together provide all twenty amino acids. Fats, carbohydrates and proteins are the building blocks of ojas. Cooked with ghee, kitchari is ojas building. Kitchari may be eaten for many meals and is very cleansing. It helps with recuperation and rejuvenation.

When I juice fast, I buy a few cases of food in bulk and store them in a second refrigerator. Juice feasting is amazing and fun, bulk it’s also:

• expensive (unless you have a garden stocked with greens and fruit trees or live in the tropics)

• requires space to store vegetables• requires more trips to the store• requires organic or non-sprayed

produce

That said, I love juice feasting. I will often start a juice feast drinking close to 1 gallon of juice per day. A few days in, I’m usually down to 3 quarts per day. Some people will drink less. About 1 gallon is usually recommended.

Before a juice cleanse, I call my local grocery to buy these in bulk: 1 case organic celery1 case organic apples20 pound bag of organic carrots1/2 case of organic kale or other greens1/2 case lemons

These are my staples. I’ll buy a bunch of ginger, oranges, beets, and odds and ends to keep it interesting. I harvest as much greenery from the weeds in my yard and plants in my garden. Through in carrot tops, beet greens, turnip greens. Every plant you bring into your juice feast has nutrients you won’t otherwise receive.It’s super fun - read this if you want to juice feast.

Leafy Greens: You are juicing 2 pounds of leafy greens each day, so you need 10 pounds of greens: spinach, kale, parsley, romaine, butter lettuce, dandelion greens, chard, etc. Weigh it, and recognize that these are the most nutrient dense foods you will have ever juiced. The cell walls of these plants are tough, which is why we suggest using a Vitamix or Press-style juicer to break those walls open to release the nutritious juice inside. If you are new to Green Vegetable Juice, start with two favorites: spinach and parsley, then move to kale, romaine, butter lettuce, chard, and so on. One other green of note: cilantro. This green pulls heavy metals from the body, particularly mercury, so if you have had, or do have, mercury fillings, please use this green each week of the Feast.

Celery: We juice one head per person of celery every day of the Feast. Why? Because celery is loaded with organic sodium, which is one of most important alkalizing minerals. Most of us are deficient in organic sodium from eating a standard or acid-forming diet (meat, dairy, wheat, processed sugar, and soy). Putting back in organic sodium will reduce or eliminate acid reflux disease, ease gastrointenstinal distress, heal the lining of the stomach, aid digestion of proteins, and alkalize the bile of the liver and gallbladder (acid bile creates gallstones). Celery is a key part of the alkalizing aspects of the Juice Feast.

Cucumber: Cucumbers have a reputation as the best kidney cleanser known. They are a diuretic; thus, they prevent bloating due to water retention, and they help to wash the kidneys and bladder of debris and stones. Cucumbers are cooling, refreshing, water-rich, filling, low in calories, alkaline, and high in energy. The popular health lecturer and teacher Paul Bragg said of cucumbers, “There is nothing more nourishing for the skin to have than the liquid juice from the cucumber. The nutrition-rich water that it contains, when taken into the body, adds luster to the hair, sparkle to the eye, color to the lips, tone to the skin, and spring to the step.” Paul Bragg, even in his 90s, had beautiful skin, in part due to his daily juicing of cucumbers. We use 1 cucumber a day per person minimum, and they go very well with celery juice and leafy greens. One of our favorite juices is leafy greens with celery, cucumber, lemon, and apple. We will discuss juices more in the next section, “Getting Juicy: Making Beautiful Juices.”

Sweet Root Crops: Carrot, Beet, and Yam. These are sweet, and also your most calorie dense vegetables that you can juice. In terms of calories per quart of juice, you can’t be(e)t a yam! We buy about 5 lbs of carrots for every 3 days of Feasting, so you might want to get 10 lbs for yourself.

Fruits & Vegetables DetoxThe Fruits and Vegetables detox is based on a high raw vegan, high fruit-based diet. The leading book on this way of eating is Dr. Doug Graham’s The 80-10-10 diet. The 80-10-10 diet is based on the concept that humans thrive on fruit primarily (80% of caloric intact) and 10% protein and 10% fat. The fat and protein is primarily through vegetables, seeds, fatty fruits and nuts.

The Yogidetox detox version of the 80-10-10 version is to simply eat as much fresh fruit and raw and cooked vegetables as you desire for 21 days.

• Eat as much fruits and vegetables as you want.

• Don’t worry about 3 meals a day without snacking. Simply satiate your cravings with fruit and vegetables.

• Don’t use any overt fat or oils. This means excluding avocados, nuts, seeds, and oils from your diet during the detox time.

• Make salad dressings out of sweet fruits and vegetables blended. Look at 80-10-10 recipes.

• Start your day with green smoothies, made out of fruit, vegetables and water. Don’t add oils, nuts, seeds or avocados.

• Juice or have alkaline broth for 5-10 days.

Lifestyle On the Fruit + Veggie Detox you can do enemas and an occasional salt water flush. Whenever you feel down in the dumps, have a skin breakout, or your elimination feels stuck, do an enema.

Most people have very regular elimination on the Fruit and Veggie Detox.

Don’t worry about overeating on the fruit and vegetable detox. With no fat, you’ll start to melt your own fat tissue.

As you emerge from Fruit and Vegetables Detox into 80-10-10, you’ll be adding 10% fat . After only consuming fruits and vegetables for an extended period of time, you’ll eventually be ready to integrate more fat. Choose the best fats, which are higher in Omega 3 fatty acids, than Omega 6 fatty acids:

flax seeds

chia seeds

avocados

Eventually, you’ll diversify your overt fats with nuts and seeds that are less “healthy” but have more nutrients and diverse tastes and textures. These include:

pumpkin seeds

brazil nuts

almonds

and a wide range of other nuts and seeds.

Pressed oils are best avoided as their are more likely to oxidize and have less integrity (further from the original form).

SpicesDr Douglas Graham, founder of the 80/10/10 Diet, states, “Herbs and spices like GARLIC, onion, curry, cumin, ginger, cayenne, chili powder, and oregano contain alkaloids and other toxic chemicals.”He claims those herbs and spices only transport toxins to your nervous system. Additionally, they irritate your digestive tract and sometimes even causing your body to manufacture mucus for protection.Note: Ayurveda uses spices as a path to health. However, this is a reductionist diet and many of the imbalances that come from meats, grains, excess fats, etc. use spices to help break down heavier foods. When you eat only fruits and vegetables... you might not need the spices.

Fruit + Vegetable RecipesThese are recipes that help diversify your diet... and still stick to fruits and vegetables. Also, use any of the vegetable, soup, smoothie, juice recipes from the Recipe Book - leave out oils, nuts, seeds, grains, legumes. Sweet Dressing1 orange bell pepper, seeds removed 1 cup pineapple, diced

Blend. Pour over greens .

Quick Dip 1/2 pound of thin-skinned potatoes (ex. fingerlings)3 stalks of celery2 springs fresh basil slice of lemon

Steam the potatoes and allow them to cool. Blend potatoes with celery and 1/4 cup of the potato water. Add more water to get desired consistency. Chop basil and stir in with a squeeze of lemon.

Dip fresh sliced veggies into potato dip.

Peel back iceburg leafs until you have many “buns” to place toppings on. Slice half of the tomatoes placing one on the bottom. Slice the pineapple into rounds placing one on top of the tomato. Dice the remaining tomatoes tossing with diced red pepper lime and cilantro to make a salsa. Top with optional avocado slices, salsa and finally another slice of tomato and leaf or two of iceberg! Enjoy!

Fruit + Vegetable RecipesSmashed Peas1/2 lb. frozen peas2 thin-skinned potato, diced1 cup onion, diced

Simmer the onion and potato in a 1 cup of water, covered for 20 minutes. Stir in frozen peas. Stir and steam for 2 minutes, covered. Drain. Pulse in blender for a chunky consistency.

Use as a dip or just have a bowl.

Sweet Potatoes or Roasted SquashBake a pound of sweet potatoes or slice a winter squash in half, remove the seeds, and bake face down on a cookie sheet.

Bake at 375’ for 1 hour. Wrap in aluminum foil what you don’t eat right away.

Mashed Potatoes1 lb. thin skinned potatoes1 red onion1/2 c. parsley, chopped

Quarter potatoes and chop your onion. Place in pot covered with cold water. Simmer, covered for 20 minutes. Drain. Pulse in blender. Serve. Garnish with parsley.

Steamed Asparagus1 pound asparagus1 leek, choppedsqueeze of lemon

Steam a pound of asparagus with the chopped leek for 5 minutes. Squeeze a lemon and serve.

Steamed ArtichokeSteam 1 large artichoke for 50 minutes (less with a small artichoke).Enjoy peeling it and scraping the marrow with your teeth.

A typical day on Fruits & Veggies:

Breakfast: 2-3 quarts of green smoothie, made of exclusively fruits, vegetables, & water.

Lunch: 2-3 bananas, followed by a head of romaine, with a fresh orange squeezed in.

Dinner: fruit salad with 2 fruits, 1 lb. of zucchini stripped, dipped into smashed peas.

You might want to eat 4 times a day for the first week on this detox.

Stick with water as your beverage. You might find you need much less... due to the high water content in everything you are eating.

Note: We’re using mostly living with some cooked foods. In the 80-10-10 diet they only use living foods.

Advice from Chris Kendall Sequential & Mono Eatingby Chris Kendall https://therawadvantage.com/Sequential eating breaks optimal digestion down one step further toward the ideal, mono meals (one food at a time when hungry until full). As the name suggests, sequential eating means eating foods one after another instead of mixed together.

By doing so digestive energy is freed up, digestion and assimilation become more efficient, while the fermentation and formation of toxins is avoided. Think about it, every animal in nature eats this way at virtually every meal when there is adequate food in supply.

This can most easily be practiced by making a point to eat the foods with the highest water content first. For example, you could eat watermelon then oranges and then nectarines, or pineapple then tomatoes followed by lettuce or a simple salad. Another example would be eating grapes then mangoes and then bananas, or pears then banana then dates and/or celery. Remember lettuce and celery digest well with everything. Foods of completely different character are best eaten with some time elapsing, or at different meals. For example I would not recommend eating a bunch of pineapples right before a bunch of bananas or dates, nor a bunch of bananas and then avocados. It is better to eat foods similar in predominant taste and water content, with food combining in mind.

One of the main reasons for this is that food with higher water content digest the fastest, while denser foods take longer, and fatty foods take the longest. Just as you wouldn’t send a turbo train down the tracks minutes after a slow passenger car, you wouldn’t want to follow a slower digesting banana with a fast digesting orange. When this scenario happens fermentation,flatulence, irritability, formation of toxins and stomach upset is all too common, laying the road for more serious conditions.

Chris Kendall’s food combining principles for high raw vegan:

Do not mix sweet fruit with acid fruit, e.g. bananas and oranges, lemons and dates etc.

Fatty foods do not mix well with sweet fruits, e.g. nuts or avocado with dates, raisins, bananas, etc.

Acidic fruits combine all right with fats, e.g. tomato or citrus with avocado or nuts.

Lettuce and celery combine well with anything

On Green Smoothies For a milder taste you can choose from romaine, spinach, celery, red leaf, green leaf, bib, Boston, butter leaf, iceberg, celery, fennel, dill, cilantro, mint and many others all for different tastes and goodness. For a deeper more earthy taste try kale, chard, bok choy, parsley, basil, arugula, lambs quarters, stinging nettle, etc. Different combinations of the above in each respective dish can bring a limitless rangeof flavors.

I personally enjoy the milder greens with more frequency and volume than the deeper, liberally use herbs and on a rare occasion the darker greens in stews. Have fun, experiment and find your own favorites. One huge tip, focus on the fresh, ripe, raw, foods and tastes that you enjoy the most, not the ingredients you think you need or “super food” that yields the “highest” this or that. The body is always smarter than the mind, tastes change in cycle to meet your needs of the moment. Some people find greens to be hard to digest and are best served by increasing their intake of green smoothies slowly.

Remember to observe food combining, take your time and “chew” your smoothies. By progressively adding more greens to your diet you will find your tastes and preferences change making new favorites :)

On TransitioningWhile in transition or beginning stages of eating raw it is not uncommon for people to eat 4 - 5 meals a daywhile their digestive capacity expands. This can occur quite quickly as the stomachs elasticity is fast toaccommodate the room necessary for high water content foods. More often than not it’s the minds idea of how much is normal, or fears of eating too much food or fruit that must be overcome. It is nearly impossibleto overeat on fresh ripe raw fruits and vegetables, eat all you care for with no restrictions.

Salt Water Flush

WhyA salt water flush empties the digestive tract. The salt solution has the same specific gravity as your blood. It causes a “tidal wave” effect–pushing everything along until it comes out the other end. The best time to do a salt water flush is the first day of your deep cleanse. Those juicing or doing the Spicy Lemonade Cleanse can do it daily.

"Lose Weight, Have More Energy Be Happier in 10 Days" is about the Master Cleanse. In it he states: "The reason for two teaspoons of salt is to increase the weight (specific gravity) of the salt water until it matches the weight of the blood. When the salt water and the blood are the same weight, the body will treat the salt water as though it were blood, not absorb the salt from the digestive system, and will just 'flush" the salt water through the system instead of absorbing it." The salt loosens crap from your digestive tract, pulling fecal matter and mucus off the walls. It pulls the good and bad bacteria down the shoot. If you do any salt water flushing, you’ll need to eat probiotic foods (miso, sauerkraut) as you emerge from your detox.

Why NotIf you have a pre-existing condition or are currently taking medications, it’s best to check with your doctor before doing a salt water flush, just to be on the safe side. If you have high blood pressure, weak kidney function, or adrenal fatigue I don’t recommend it.If you are on a low sodium diet, you won’t need as much salt. Reduce by 1/4 the amount.

Troubleshooting + FAQQ: It didn’t work.

A: Some bodies need more or less salt. You are aiming for your blood salinity level. Chances are you were dehydrated before you began. Drink plenty of fresh water, preferably warm to hot.

How Depending on the speed of your bowels, plan on 1-2 hours to be at home for your flush. Do it first thing in the morning. I often drink a quart of fresh water before the salt water - otherwise I get dehydrated. Vata-types will not need to drink as much water or salt water. As you experiment, adjust with what works for your body. In a pan, warm:

Put on lid and shake to ensure salt does not settle on bottle.Guzzle the water in 5-10 minutes. Fast is effective.Lie on your left side and do a quick belly message. Flip over and do it again.Within 10-60 minutes you will probably eliminate. It can take longer.Once you are done pooping, rehydrate.Drink water. Salt water is dehydrating. Replace electrolytes daily.At the end of your detox, use probiotic pills or even better, eat your own homemade sauerkraut. Start fermenting your kraut on the first day of your detox and it will be ready by the end.

Cleansing Enemas

Salt & Soda Enema1 tsp. sea salt per quart of water1 tsp. baking soda per quart of water1 quart warm filtered water

This is a simple easy enema for a healthy colon cleansing program. Choose a high quality salt. The salt softens the walls of the colon. Use 4-5 quarts until your release is clear. The do a final rinse with plain water, the chlorophyll recipe, or acidophilus recipe below.

Liquid Chlorophyll Enema Chlorophyll regenerates at the molecular and cellular level. Foods highest in chlorophyll are the most alkalizing. Chlorophyll is also anti-carcinogenic, making it a cancer preventative. It’s anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory and anti-candida. Basically, it’s pro-life and anti-disease.Alfalfa is a rich natural source of chlorophyll, vitamins, minerals and protein which supports a healthy colon. Alfalfa has also been used to treat kidney stones, relieve fluid retention and swelling, and nourish the digestive, skeletal, glandular, and urinary systems.

1 oz liquid chlorophyll or 2 tbsp. alfalfa powder2 quarts warm filtered water (Mix well)

Acidophilus Enema Establishing balanced bowel ecology is a priority. Replacing beneficial body flora with acidophilus. Do not use yogurt if you have an allergy to dairy products. The imbalance of intestinal microorganisms requires replacing the friendly bacteria on a regular basis orally and/or rectally. Studies show that reestablishment rectally is faster than when taken orally.

4 Tbsp. yogurt or4 - 5 capsules dry acidophilus or1 tsp. powdered acidophilus2 quarts warm filtered water ( Mix well )

InstructionsAyurveda uses enema therapies for cleansing and purification of the colon. See specific recipes on the following page.

Water-based Enema (for those who are fasting or juice fasting)

Always do a warm sesame oil implant the day before doing a cleansing enema, and the day after your last cleansing enema.

Purchase an enema bag and rinse it out. , for sale at local drugstores.

Fill with the recipe of your choice from the column on the right, or simply warm water. Temperature about 103°Fahrenheit

Evacuate the bowels and bladder, if possible before you begin the enema.

Spread a few clean towel or two on the floor in a comfortable and warm place. Lubricate your anus with olive oil or ghee.

Do not use force to insert the enema tip into your rectum as this may result in injury.

If using a bottle – squeeze until empty. If using the bag, use the release valve and take in as much as your body easily allows, until you feel peristaltic action

Empty bowels.

Repeat enemas until the bowel is clean and the water comes out clear (6 times is a close to colonic dosage).

Wash your bag or bottle with hot soapy water. Rinse well. Hang to dry.

Sesame Oil Implant Sesame oil is warming and nourishing to the colon. It’s high in minerals, like calcium. Fill your bottle with warm sesame, organic non-toasted sesame oil. This is the easiest enema to prepare.

Slippery Elm Implant Slippery elm has been used as an herbal remedy for gastrointestinal symptoms including diarrhea, IBS, bloody diarrhea and hemorrhoids, neutralizing an acidic colon and absorb foul gases. It is very soothing for the intestinal lining. It’s demulcent property coats and soothes the digestive tract.

Boil:2 cups boiling water4 tablespoons of slippery bark powder

Steep for 5 minutes. Blend. Strain. Store in fridge. Warm 1 cup of your slippery elm solution for your implant.

Oil & Dashmula Tea Implant:For irritation and chronic dryness or constipation in the colon, or osteoporosis in the hips.

Simmer ½ cup dashmula in 2 quarts of water, uncovered for 1 hour. Cool. Strain. Pour into a sterilized jar. Store in fridge until use. Combine ½ c. dashmula tea with ½ c. sesame oil. Hold liquid in colon for 20 minutes or overnight.

InstructionsAn implant is when you hold about 1 cup of a healing liquid in your colon for 20 minutes or overnight. Holding implants overnight is better. Inject before bed. Always make your implants and enemas body temperature warm before injecting. If you are concerned with leaking, use a menstrual pad and underwear, positioned under your anus, to catch any leaking. If you have the urge to fart in the night, be aware, liquid will come out. Go potty instead.Buy a $1 saline enema kit at the drugstore. Don’t use an enema bag -they don’t work for implants. Empty ad rinse your bottle. You’ll fill it with your recipe.

Lubricate your anus with sesame oil.

Insert the tip of the enema (with the tip pointing toward your belly) into your rectum with gentle, steady pressure and a slight side-‐to-‐side movement.

Squeeze until bottle is empty.

Retain enema as long as you are comfortable, ideally up to 20 minutes.

Positions for Using Enema

Left-side position: Lie on your left side with your right leg forward and bent close to your abdomen. Let your arms rest comfortably. Knee-chest position: Kneel on a clean bath towel spread on the floor and crouch forward on your elbows. Keep your head and chest as close to the floor as possible with your hips up. You may find you are better able to retain the enema in this position.
