ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

Electronics would not be existing withoutsemiconductor devices. As the technologyroadmap is moving beyond 22 nm, the fab-rication of new, sophisticated devices be-comes an attractive field of research. Theefficient design of integrated circuits re-quires the use of sophisticated computeraided circuit design programs. A vital com-ponent of circuit simulation program is thedevice models. Hence, modeling of semi-conductor devices also plays a significantrole. This course not only introduces thefundamental concepts behind device mod-eling and fabrication technology, but directsthe audience towards the research chal-lenges in these areas also.
