The entire bible fro& the beginning has been a co&parison and contrast between what is +naturalF or flesh and what is spiritual. The2T boo>s and prophecies as well as the boo> of #evelation are no different. In fact$ &ost of #evelation co&es right out of the 2Tscriptures al&ost verbati&. While all of this &ay see& a little naNve to so&e readers$ the further understands this study$ the &ore the reader will realiKe this is alltal>ing about hi&self and not so&eone else. This is not to ta>e away fro& the i&portance of the =T letters but only to point out that$of all the words Christ gave$ &ost of the directly given ones are found in the +redheaded stepchildF of orthodox biblical text called#evelation. #ev "5:5D And although &ost will say that understanding the boo> of revelation is not essential for salvation$ once youunderstand what the boo> of revelation is and what it is conveying$ the &ore you will realiKe$ li>e the title of this boo> suggest$ younever really understood what the gospel of Besus Christ was in the first placeJ At first$ you will as> how could so &any people fail tounderstand. In the end$ with a co&plete understanding$ you will as> yourself how could it have been otherwise.

The reason the apostles use of 2T scripture see&s such an +eclecticF approach without any discernable syste&atic approach$ is that people are not using the scriptures the way and with the sa&e approach they used. 2n the one hand it al&ost see&s naNve but on the

  • 8/19/2019 Revelation the First Gospel of the Kingdom

    5/471

other hand it should have ,u&ped off the pages and slapped you all around the roo&. oubtfully$ however$ this state&ent will not even begin phase &ost bible +teachersF for the reason it never occurred to the& that the difficulty that exist is not in the logic or &ethod orapproach of how the apostles used the 2T scriptures but rather how theses +teachersF were taught and how thy teach others to usethe&.

The 2T scriptures are using co&parison and contrast between what is +naturalF or flesh and what is spiritual. The spiritual or thosethat wal>ed after the spirit were the +re&nantF left out of the Israel that was to be destroyed. i>e that co&parison$ al&ost everycontext is a co&parison and contrast of so&ething such as those who &ourn for the sins of Israel as opposed to those who &ourn because they suffer the penalty for those sins. This is a>in to a child who is sorry for what he did because he >nows it is wrong anddoes not want to do wrong verse a >id who is only sorry that he got caught. 2ther co&parisons and contrast are found in the conceptof Israel itself. Manny passages see& to refer to the sa&e things but refer to the& as dar>ness while in other places referring to the

sa&e things as ight and 7eace. A sound approach will show that all of these things are in fact two sides to the sa&e coin$ heads ortails depending on context and the perspective. 2thers passages see& to be tal>ing about all those heathens nations and what they didto Israel$ so 3od is going to destroy the& out of Israel and redee& his people. i>e the Bews in the first century$ &ost &iss the factthat no 3entile nation on planet earth could have har&ed or corrupted 3ods people if Israel itself had not allow and even gleefullyencouraged those gentile nations to co&e in and corrupt the&. The root proble& is not the 3entile nations. They did not brea> anycovenant with 3od. The people who clai&ed to be 3ods people wanted to be li>e the nations about the&. The people who clai&ed towear the na&e of 3od were far &ore interested in how they could go about wearing the na&e of the gentiles. This is why the +Mysteryof IniHuityF and +Mystery ?abylonF and +Mystery of the 3ospelF are all one and the sa&e +MysteryF. While the leaders of the =ationwith the people were inviting the corruption to co&e into it while trying to stradel the fence with the law$ 3od was intending todestroy the pagan influence out of the land by destroying the root of the proble&. This was the furtherest thing fro& the &inds of theBewish people. They thought 3od would ,ust co&e through the land and +fu&igateF it with +death to the gentile nationsF. Ah$ but hereco&es the wit of 3od$ -e deter&ined to get rid of the +gentilesF out of -is people by destroying Israel who was uncircu&cised inheart and as such wore the na&es of the gentiles nations she lusted after. =ovel idea$ but this certainly does not go over well with

those then and today who are loo>ing for so&e >ind of rede&ption of the physical seed of Israel. The rede&ption was only for thespiritual seed not a physical seed. Abraha& carried the spiritual seed and spiritual seed within hi&. 3ods pro&isises address both butthe &ystery was >ept in the fact that hu&ans were only thin>ing of the physical. The law pronounced an everlasting blessing and acurse and they would get bothJ This is where the concept +two sides to the sa&e coinF really starts to +earn its >eep.F ou see$ Israel is&ade up of people who the&selves are &ade up of two parts$ flesh on the one hand and a spirit on the other. When 3od is referring toIsrael -e is referring to 2ne Israel in the sa&e way that you are one person but the physical aspect of Israel is going to be destroyedwhile the spirit of Israel is going to be redee&ed. In the sa&e way that flesh and blood cannot enter into the >ingdo& because the fleshonly obtained the everlasting curse$ those that wal> after the words and spirit were the re&nant saved out of Israel$ and only those whowal> after the spirit are of the seed of Israel. ?ecause while &an tends to thin> with his carnality$ 3od is a spirit and -e is &oreconcerned with a spiritual seed not a physical seed. ?ut wait so&e would say$ Israel had an everlasting covenant with 3od. That isright$ and that everlasting covenant pronounced an everlasting curse that they have received now for all of eternity. The pro&ised seedwas spiritual seed that ca&e fro& that physical seed called Christ$ and that seed of that spirit$ obtain the everlasting blessing. %o noneed to worry$ 3od >ept his pro&ise of an everlasting covenant with Israel and the everlasting blessing and curse are still in effect tothis day and fro& now till eternity. The seed of Abraha& was both spiritual and physical. -owever$ there was never any pro&ise thatthe physical seed would re&ain physically for all of eternity. The reason you &ay have gotten that idea is because you are carnal&inded and as such you have no part with us who are of the redee&ed spiritual seed.

2>$ by now your thin>ing that even if everything here is true$ what has all that got to do with the boo> of #evelation' 2nlyeverythingJ The boo> of #evelation is a revealing of the &essage about that everlasting blessing and curse being poured out on the physical seed and those that wal> after the flesh$ in seven ways. These seven ways are found in the song of Moses and is the point to

the seven seals$ tru&pets and vials. They are all covering the sa&e things$ fro& slightly different perspectives. As we will see

The law and 7rophets spea> not to a ,u&bled&ess of prophecies that all ta>e place atdifferent ti&es but rather to a singular bloc> ofti&e called The ast ayS pluralD. This single bloc> of ti&e is defined by the period of

Christ birth till the war that destroyed the7hysical house and consu&&ated the spiritualhouse and seed. The prophecies are discussingthe destruction of physical Israel and therede&ption of spiritual Israel. The whole pointto the co&parisons and contrast is between the physical house not called by -is na&e and thespiritual house that are called by -is na&e. Ina nutshell$ this is the 3ospel.

elsewhere$ a pattern e&erges; the sa&e thing will be repeated three ti&es$ in three different ways. These three things are a seven foldcurse that also brings in a everlasting blessing at the sa&e ti&e. Most of the passages as well as the overall the&es have a duality tothe& the sa&e events will be bad news for &any and good news for a few. The whole boo> 2f #evelation can be su&&ed up in theflowing:

The curse was poured out over 666years before it beca&e irrevocably final. This is acco&plished with the 6th seals$ 6th tru&ps and 6th vials of wrath. with the first half of the seven years war of A*4 half a ti&eD This is contrasted with the everlasting blessing thatco&es to the spiritual seed in the th seal$ th tru&p and th vial of wrath. The &ystery of 3od isco&pleted +in the day% pluralD when -e begin% not endsD to soundF. The seventh tru&pet does not end until there are no &ore peopleon planet earth to hear it. Those days are the last half of the war fro& the destruction of Berusale& in A* to PA! or "(6* days or! O years. The end of the 6th  A* is also the beginning of the th  in A*.

This brings us to another i&portant concept to be understood. We can stand outside on your porch and be +at the doorF or +at handF;however$ we can also be inside your house$ ,ust on the other side of the threshold$ and still be +at the doorF or +at handF. ?oth of thoseare at the door but one is on the outside loo>ing in the other is on the inside and can be loo>ing out.

A* is the fulcru& point or pivot point between the old and the new. The old is irrevocable destroyed in the 6th  but the residue is not+swept awayF until the first "(6* days of the th . The th Is the beginning of the new order but that new order is not +consu&&atedFuntil the residue has been swept away which was co&pleted by the end of last half or "(6* days or ! It is >ind li>e this$ you buy a new house$ you own it$ it is yours$ you ,ust finaliKed all the paper wor> yesterday$ however$ it isnot ready to &ove into until you get the old carpet co&pletely out and the new carpet in. This is the point to The consu&&ationco&ing at the end of the war.

D*' : UNTO THE END OF THE WAR   DESOLATIONS are deter&ined. (. ..he shall &a>e it DESOLATE9

    EVEN UNTIL THE CONSUMMATION.

Enli>e &any people today when they read the 2T scriptures they did not see in the& so&e far distant future yet to co&e$ &aybethousands of years later. They read the scriptures with the (roer) understanding that they were living in those last days that were prophesied. This goes for the ,udg&ent and resurrection and everything else found in the 2T scriptures that the apostles Huote fro&when preaching about those doctrines. The 2T passages$ unli>e &ost bible students$ places the first co&ing and all the things wetoday thin> of as the (nd co&ing in the sa&e ti&e fra&e and context. That context is +the last daysF. The last days did not address ,ustthe end of the world but the last days is also a reference to when the &essiah would be born and everything he would do on this earth.Thin> about thatJ Most people eHuate Christ co&ing the first ti&e as so&e different ti&e fra&e then when he would co&e and ,udgethe world. To the apostles and certainly beyond all contradiction$ the 2T passages did not separate out the birth of Christ with hisco&ing on the world in ,udg&ent into different ti&e periods$ it was all part and parcel of the sa&e short ti&e fra&e >nown as the lastdaysJ Those +ast daySF cover a period of ti&e fro& his birth to his return$ or a period of * years. The Bews$ +>ept on handF$ the boo>s of the law and prophets nor did not deny the written words in the law$ they only denied the &eaning of those words. Many wal> around today with a bible close at had at all ti&es. -owever$ to >eep -is words is to >eep the &eaning of those words particularly since Christ hi&self isthe word. Thus$ to deny the &eaning of his words is to deny -is word and to deny -i&* (2eter 2:1-2) .+ChristiansF &ightwant to start with that sobering fact and Huite trying to argue that understanding #evelation is +not essentialF for salvation.

This boo> is presented in layers. It uses &a,or and &inor >ey words and phrases to de&onstrate contextual relationships. Those arede&onstrated here in part with font siKes and colors to de&onstrate how they all fit together. While the apostles al&ost certainly did

not use colors and such$ the basic &ethodology of correlating passages in specific ways is still exe&plified and can be seen in the presentation here. Christ said +ye shall >now the truth and the truth will set you freeF. This see&s li>e an i&possible state&ent givenall of the various different +interpretationsF and debate that exist. There is a way to explain this in a &eaningful way. %criptures li>e a ,igsaw puKKle have individual pieces that are deter&ined by their context within the over all +pictureF. et us put it this way. If youta>e a ,igsaw puKKle with so&e i&age of so&ething or so&eplace even so&eplace you have never seen before you can put that puKKletogether and >now that you have it together properly. There is no need of any external authority to tell you when you get the puKKleco&pleted correctly. There is only one correct solution to a puKKle even with thousands of pieces and the one correct solution isintrinsic to the puKKle itself$ not the one putting it together or any other external +authorityF or &etric. This holds true even for several puKKles that are all &ixed up together in on box$ &uch li>e all the various +scripturesF$ +lost gospelsF and +Christian writingsF. Thissa&e process can provide answers to such Huestion as what is true scripture and or valid and what is not. 2f course this process isvastly Huic>er if you have a s&aller set to wor> fro& or you have an established core of pieces4 scriptures to wor> fro&. In any case$ itdoes not reHuire so&e external hu&an +authorityF to validate what is valid and what goes with what. Also$ li>e a puKKle withthousands of pieces you can find so&e pieces that at first$ appear to go together. -owever$ upon closer exa&ination particularly the

&ore and &ore of the puKKle you get asse&bled you can validate that they are in fact put together i&properly even thought they see&to fit li>e a glove. The &ore of the overall context is asse&bled the &ore and &ore of the puKKle you can validate. In fact even a blind&an given enough ti&e can put these puKKles together and >now that he got it right because they will only A go together one way$he need not even ever >now what the puKKle was a picture of. This is a good analogy of how to >now the truth$ in spite of all thedebate and +interpretationsF. %o$ can this be done' Well you certainly will never be able to do that by putting together a puKKle of a picture of a garden but convince yourself it is a picture of your house and refuse to +seeF otherwise. A %hortcut to this process can beused to identify the pieces by loo>ing at the color context on the front of the pieces and categoriKing the various shapes of the puKKle pieces.

The boo> of #evelation tells us exactly$ al&ost to the day$ when it was scribed by Bohn$ which will be de&onstrated to be March "st A65 Q /1 ays. It is of further interest to note that while the word apocalypse is supposed to &ean revealed$ &ost fol>s who try toexplain the boo> of #evelation do so by invo>ing +sy&bolic languageF$ and &etaphors of such abstract &eaninglessness that it can&ean al&ost anything or nothing at all. The truth is +sy&bolicF or +Apocalyptic languageF is nothing but phrases used to disguiseignorance not reveal any &eaningful understanding. It too> (( chapters to tell us all of thatJ'J While &any$ if not &ost$ &odern exegetes atte&pt to +explain #evelation by useof such ter&s a +propheticF or apocalyptic languageF$ the rest of us can only wonder where the +rosette stoneF for this +propheticlanguageF could be found so that we could all understand it clearly. =o$ when these >inds of ter&s are used they are really ,ust codewords for &"e don+t hae a cl,e "hat it means; ,t let ,s tell !o, all ao,t it'* #evelation is a relatively si&ple boo> to understandand to actually >now for certain that you do properly understand it. It is little &ore then the sa&e words phrases$ and conceptsrepeated over and over again internally and drawn fro& various =T and 2T passages with few exceptions. It ta>es those Concepts andor ideas and expounds &ore and &ore detail to the&. Ironically$ apocalyptic &eans to reveal but those who use +apocalyptic languageFuse it to describe a see&ingly infinte a&biguous exegesis. =one of the& >nows for sure what it &eans$ but they see& confident that itis not i&portant to understand because it is ,ust +apocalyptic languageF anyway. The very thing that is supposed to be revealing cant be understood except as +apocalyptic languageF which can &ean anything and everything or nothing at all$ depending on who isdefining all of that for 3od and everyone else. +Apocalyptic languageF or +Apocalyptic literatureF is by definition ignorance and perhaps the &ost popular but ridiculous descriptions &ade about this very elegant and i&portant boo>.

9very coin has two sides to it. 2ne side is usually good the other is bad or one side is a co&parison and the other is a contrast. There isthe physical that gets destroyed and the spirit that gets redee&ed. The gospel is light to those who are being saved but it is hid anddar>ness to those who are lost. What is good for the saints is terrible for those being lost. The second co&ing of Christ is good newsfor those who are saved but causes all nations to &ourn for those who are lost. Again$ the only condition needed to satisfy all nations&ourn is that so&e out of all the nations &ourn; the saints certainly do not &ourn. There are those who &ourn for their sins (the! are

sorr! for their error) and there are those who Mourn because of the affects of those sins (the! are sorr! the! .ot ca,.ht and s,ffer theconse/,ences)*

ou can see with your eyes but understand a thing is also considered +to seeF; A person can also see with their eyes and yet still not beable +to seeF or understand what they are loo>ing at. The fact you see so&ething with youre your eyes does not &ean you understand

what you are loo>ing at; in which case you have eyes to see and yet +seeF not. This goes along with the concept of two sides to everycoin: often ti&es things can have &ore than one perspective.

To stand at the door can have one of two conditions. ou can stand outsides the threshold on the outside of the house loo>ing in +Atthe doorF; you can also be inside the threshold loo>ing yet still +at the doorF. Thee are si&ply two different perspectives of the sa&e+at the doorF

The earth was for&ed out of the pri&ordial waters of 3enesis. (2eter3:5; Gen 1:2) The earth is &ade out of those waters. Man wascreated fro& the dust of earth. In fact Huite literally &an is &ade of earth. Israel was a nation that was called out of all seventy of theoriginal nations that begun at ?abylon. A co&parison can be &ade between the general population of peoples as sea or waters$ asopposed to the earth or Israel that was called or created out of that general population or waters or people. This will be de&onstratedwith scriptures in &ore detail latter.

+All nationsF originate fro& 3en "*:!( there were seventy of the&. Any group which has people fro& all seventy of those nations in it

can thus be said to be +all nationsF. Any >ingdo& with all seventy nations in it can be said to rule over all the nations. Any 3roup withall seventy nations in it can be said to have +all the nations presentF. +All =ationsF need only to include &e&bers fro& all originalnations that 3od defined. It does not de&and that everyone that is alive on planet earth is in that particular group.

The concept of literal verse spiritual is in fact to e&ploy a non seHuitur. 3od is a spirit; is 3od not literalJ'J. The physical universeoriginates and gets its existence fro& the spiritual. The spiritual is the literal the physical is ,ust a shadow or +&etaphorF if anyD forthe spiritual and not the other way around. To say Christ is the la&b is not say that Christ is a &etaphor for a la&b. Christ existed andcreated the la&bs in the stall to be a pattern after -i& not hi& after the&. Thus Christ is the true literal la&b where as the la&bs in thestall are ,ust a pattern or shadow or &etaphor for Christ. #evelation is tal>ing about the things seen in the spirit therefore it is &ostliteralJ Those literal things have a i&pact or &anifestation in the shadow world or the physical. All variants and extre&es in the physical universe even such things as ti&e$ space$ functions and for&s all originate fro& +the true singularityF which is 3od. 9rgo$+with 3od all things are possibleF

    REVELATION OUTLINE:

It is i&portant to >now that in the sa&e way that a &ovie or television show or &any boo>s tell a story so too does #evelation revealthe visions. The visions are contextually dependent and related they are not necessarily in order of ti&e. There is a difference betweenthe order of the narrators writing down on paper verse the chronology that the events are to be ta>ing place in Sreal ti&eS. Most peopleare fa&iliar with their favorite &ovie and or television shows in how they so&eti&es start the &ovie at the end or &iddle of thestoryline$ then so&ething li>e +two wee>s earlierF appears on the screen. Another co&&on practice in shows such as +soap operaFstyle is to have three or four plot or story lines all ta>ing place at relatively the sa&e ti&e. The story is told by having the narratives

bounce bac> and fourth between the various ti&e and plot lines.

The boo> of #evelation has three basic plot lines$ or things ta>ing place at the sa&e ti&e$ fro& three different perspectives. The sevenseals$ seven tru&ps and seven vials are all ta>ing place at roughly the sa&e ti&e told fro& different perspectives and e&phasis. Thereare two basic undying the&es in the whole boo> na&ely the salvation$ rede&ption$ glory or reward for the saints and dar>ness$destruction for the sinners. There is a heavy e&phasis on the last three seals$ tru&ps and vials. The reason for this is that the aw of&osses prescribed seven ways of destruction or seven plagues that would co&e. The first four are na&ed and described in the law and prophets verbati& the last three are not and that is what is being revealed in revelation. There is one other subtlety that the audienceshould gather fro& the narratives. After the 6th seal$ 6th tru&p and 6th vial$ which ta>es place over a period of 666 years$ the oldheavens and old earth co&es to its end and the new heavens and new earth will begin with the th seal$ th tru&p and th vial.

Bohn receives these visions one at a ti&e$ not all at the sa&e ti&e$ at least on paper. Most of the visions cover the sa&e exact periods inti&e as others he saw. The seHuence of Bohns narration is not the sa&e as the seHuence as they ta>e place in ti&e. A goodde&onstration of this principle can be seen in the way even your T and &ovies all tell stories. Bust because so&ething co&es first in

  • 8/19/2019 Revelation the First Gospel of the Kingdom

    9/471

the &ovie or boo> does not &ean that is what happened first in +real ti&eF. The context of each vision &ust be paired with the sa&econtext found elsewhere and thus tells you when these things are ta>ing place within the Sover all 7ictureS

The six seals$ tru&ps and vial all lead up to the destruction of Berusale& covering the period of ti&e of the first half of the war A660A*..The seventh seal tru&p and vial covers the period of ti&e fro& A* to the end of the war in A! and a brief outline ofevents after the consu&&ation at the end of the war in A!. There are several >ey date &etrics for the boo>. 2ne of the first pri&arily is the destruction of Berusale& itself. In Ch ""$ the te&ple has not yet been destroyed because everything in the whole boo>is focused on the events leading up to the seven years war with the five seals$ Tru&ps$ and ials. The is on the 6 th seal$ 6th Tru&p and 6th vial when Berusale& is destroyed and the old heaven and earth pass away ( 6 th 6 th 6 th after 666!ears) and theheralding in of the new heavens and new earth with the th seal th tru&p last tr,m) th vial. The seven years war is the focal periodof ti&e with the fulcru& point between the old and the new as the 6 th and th. The end of the 6 th seal$ tru&p and vial$ is also the

beginning of the th seal tru&p and vial this is the &iddle of the war or A*. The te&ple is &easured in Ch "" because it is to bedestroyed$ for Bohn is writing during the period of the 6 th seal$ tru&p vial but it is not destroyed until the end of the 6 th which is also the beginning of the th when the &ystery would be fulfilled.

Christ is the word of 3od; #evelation is the testi&ony of Christ; this is 7rophecy which is the testi&ony of Christ. All thee of thesethings are si&ply three different ways of saying the sa&e thing. This also shows us another pattern that is co&&on throughout thisstudy which is to repeat the sa&e thing three ti&es in three different ways or at least fro& three different perspectives. 2ne of the &ostco&&on &isconceptions about Christianity is what the testi&ony and or gospel of Christ is and is not. 9ven if you could de&onstratea difference between +the wordF$ +the testi&onyF and +this prophecyF$ the &essage is the sa&e in all three$ and the conseHuencesreward or da&nation are the sa&e in all cases. Thus any such notion between the& is at best logically and doctrinally &oot. In fact thesuggestion that they are different de&onstrates a ignorance of what the 3ospel is in the first place.

If you as> &ost people what the 3ood news or 3ospel is they will probably tell you about the virgin birth or Christ death burial andresurrection. This would be rather hu&orous if it was not so sad considering that for the three and half years of Christ &inistry he doesnot &ention it very &any ti&es at all. -owever$ Christ does spend a lot of ti&e preaching out of the 2T scriptures. =ow i&agine givena report or &anual to read and understand$ that &a>es reference to and even Huotes other source &aterial and then ignoring that source&aterial when it co&es to defining the context and &eanings of words in the report or &anual you are trying to &a>e sense of. If thatsee&s dysfunctional that is because it is. This is$ however$ what &ost people are doing when it co&es to understanding sound =Tdoctrine and or even what the 3ospel &essage of Besus was. The &ystery of the gospel was not the death$ burial and resurrectionalthough it is part of it. In fact$ death$ burial and resurrection was the sign$ the only sign$ that Besus gave to validate that -is gospel&essage was true. That alone should have clued people into the fact that the gospel &ust related to so&ething after the sign of itsvalidation. When you approach a city one of the first things you see is sign that validates you are there. -owever$ few people wouldstop at the sign to clai& +&ission co&pleteF. The +welco&e toF sign is part of the city but no one goes to a sign and clai&s the sign is

the city. The boo> of revelation is the testi&ony of Besus and even &entions the crucifixion but spends about as &uch ti&e on it asChrist hi&self did in -is earthly &inistry. The overwhel&ing heart of the boo> is supposed to be a revealing. That should have beenanother i&portant hint to the fact that whatever is being revealed &ust have been hidden at first and as such relates to +the &ystery ofthe gospelF. 9ven if you only >now that you do not yet understand revelation$ by now you should$ at least$ have begun to realiKe thatdeath burial and resurrection is not what the boo> of revelation is revealing. They certainly spent a lot of ti&e Huoting for& the 2Tscriptures and they did not spend &ost of their ti&e tal>ing about his crucifixion either. ?ut lets >eep loo>ing:

    > C-+&'"#&*'% :>. And I$ brethren$ when I ca&e to you$ ca&e not with excellency of speech or of wisdo&$ declaring unto you the testi&ony of 3od. In fact this verse tal>s Huite a bit about &any other things then ,ust the resurrection which as pointed out alreadyis not even &entioned in this verse. The state&ent here has a context and point. We shall continue to exa&ine what that point is.

(. The death burial and resurrection was the sign that Christ gave for proof that the gospel and testi&ony they preached was valid M*">:=!?...G -#' :>> so by extension the focus or point to the sign &ust be on that which the sign itself points to and orvalidates. That which a sign points to or validates is the central focus$ not the sign itself$ even though we &ay &a>e &ention of and or point to a sign first on a ,ourney. -is resurrection was the sign +on the roadF toward the saints resurrection to co&e with -is return.

!. Christ crucifixion is the reason they were destroyed and that rede&ption would co&e. -is crucifixion began the sacrificial (Christein. the sacrifice) rede&ption process. The end of that process would not be co&plete or perfectF until he returned. That end of the process had not yet co&e when 7aul is writing so he can only point to the sign that validates the central focus of his &essage. In thesa&e way a people going into a city see a sign that states +welco&e to allasF. The people point to and point out that they have ,ust passed the sign but it is not the central focus or destination and yet it still validates the ,ourney toward the central focus which is the

destination. They are patiently waiting for the central focus or destination not the sign but the sign will be what everyone is loo>ing at.

The rede&ption process or ,ourney had begun$ but it will not be co&plete until they actually get to the destination. The destination isthe focus not the sign on the way. The destination for both a trip to a city as well as the point to the gospel is what the sign points to.ou &ust focus on a sign until you get to the destination that you are patiently awaiting for. They were all patiently waiting for theco&ing of the ord because that was the destination or the central focus or what everything is pointing to in the gospel &essage.
