District Cross Country 60 William Bayldon students attended the District Cross Country last Thursday the 10 May. All students from our school were fantastic role models and representatives at this district event. The reports from other schools were all positive regarding the overall tone and smooth running of the day. A teacher from Bonville stated that…. “It was a fantastic day! Our school was particularly impressed with the exemplary behaviour of the William Bayldon students.” That comment alone made me feel proud to be part of such a wonderful school. Keeping in mind that the main idea of school sporting events is to promote exercise, healthy living, team spirit, self-improvement and social engagement with a collective group of peers. In this case, involving different schools. Winning and achieving a place is a just a welcome bonus. With this in mind, all students from William Bayldon in attendance were winners. Congratulations however, must be extended to the achievement of four of our students who are invited to attend the Mid North Coast Cross Country at the Nana Glen Equestrian Centre Morrows Road, Nana Glen on Friday 25th May, 2018. Events 1. 8/9 year old girls - Alana Williams– 3rd place

2. 11 year old girls - Lily Taylor - 9th place

3. 12/13 year old boys - Lachlan Smith– 7th place

4. 12/13 year old boys - Leonard Braam – 9th place

Thank you to all the parents, Michael Gibbons, Matthew Tobin and SLSO staff who assisted in running the 2018 District Cross Country. Bruce Chidgey
