Volume 14 Issue 10
Dear Members,
I hope everyone’s life has returned to normal since Hurricane Irma. It’s an experience we
won’t soon forget.
As you know, Nancy Walsh will be teaching the Welcome Fall Pumpkin class on
October 7th. Everyone should already have their surface ready. The Polar Santa class that was
scheduled for October 7th will be rescheduled for a future date and that will give us a chance to
get one of the wooden surfaces Nancy bought for this project, if that is the surface we want to
use.
Don’t forget the Chez Jacqueline Fashion Show scheduled for Wednesday, October 25th from
5:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m. This is a great fund raiser for our chapter and it will be a lot of fun.
I confirmed with Toni of the Flagler Woman’s Club that December 2nd is available for us to
hold our Christmas party there. Please let me know if you have any ideas for a fun, simple
party together.
Seaside Decorative Painters will hold their annual auction at Halifax Plantation on Saturday,
October 21st. I hope you are able to attend and support them.
Thank you.

Note: There will are no September Chapter Minutes due to our meet-
ing and workshop being postponed due to Hurricane Irma.

From your First Vice President, Linda Doup:
And as a result of bad girl Irma, we have had to change the schedule for our projects. Fortunate-
ly, Nancy was scheduled to teach the September session and will also be teaching the October
meeting.
It has been decided, the October meeting will be Nancy’s Pumpkin class, scheduled for Septem-
ber. We have participants that have paid, prepped, and ready to create their beautiful pumpkin
with time to display for Halloween and Fall. The Polar Bear will be re-scheduled and a date will
be announced.
The following have signed up:
Jan N., Denise Mc., Dawn C., Jane V.B., Barb J., Ruth M. (Lana will be away)
There is still time to register, pumpkins are on sale everywhere.
Pumpkin prep will require “Paint Adhesion Medium”. If you do not have, please
contact Nancy. She may have a few bottles for purchase.
Polar Bear Santa
Nancy graciously volunteered to order plaques for the Polar Bear Santa. We do not
have a reschedule date at this time; however Nancy has received the order. Please
contact Nancy and arrange to pick up your items as soon as possible. If she’s like
me, she may not have a place for storage and she does have to pay when she orders.
Always, help with set-up, clean –up and snacks are always appreciated!!!
Linda

PCDP pays $12 per registered student to the teacher. If there are 10 or fewer registered partici-pants for a workshop, the workshop may be canceled by the agreement of the teacher. In the event of such a cancellation, no fee will be paid to the teacher. If the teacher decides to hold the work-shop with 10 or fewer participants, the teacher will be paid a flat fee of $120.00.
Teacher will provide workshop chair with a list of supplies, the line drawing, special needs and prep sheet for each student two months prior to the class. If this is not an original design, the teacher must indicate the artist’s name and source of the design on the instruc-tion sheet. It is the teacher’s responsibility to obtain the artist’s permission in writing. The cost of copy services is absorbed by the teacher. If a special surface is required or has to be ordered, the cost and availability of the surface will be indicated in advance.
