    1. Study first, and then play2. Have a study buddy3. Have a goal each time you study

    4. Reward yourself after each study sessions withsomething small5. Give yourself a big goal as well. For example, ifyou ace all your tests, then ask yourparent/guardian if you can have a friend over fordinner or to play games...etc.

It's all up to you to do well. I believe in you guys!

Lastly, I would like to wish you a happy winter breakand a happy New Year's. I hope that you come backto school feeling refreshed from the break and ready

    Hello MSA-6 Family,

As the years go by, time flashes before ourvery eyes. We know most of you will agreewhen we ask, Where did the past yeargo?

Students, as you approach to the end ofthe first semester, remember your first day

of academic school year and rememberthe importance of education and its role inyour life. As new year approaches, setyour long and short term goals andremember that the reward for working andstudying hard is learning. If I could give mystudents anything, I would give themthe gift of becoming life-long learners. Itwouldnt make any difference howtechnology would change; they would finda way to explore new and exciting topics.

Finally, I would like to thank all my

students for their hard work during thissemester and appreciate the support ofour wonderful parents. Wishing all of youa Christmas Season filled with beautifulmoments and cherished memories.

    Ms. BabaieScience Teacher

    MSA Tigers,

You have almost made it to theend of another semester. All thatis left is to do an outstanding jobon your final exams. How are yougoing to pull that off, though? Ihave a few suggestions for you:

    1. Study in 30 minute blocks, starting SEVERAL days beforefinals

    2. Ask for help! If something isconfusing to you, let your teachersknow as soon as possible.

    3. Make flashcards andpractice, practice, practice.

    4. Attend after-school tutoringfor all classes that you are feelingless than confident about.

A large part of being able to do

your best on an exam is beingwell-prepared. That means thatyou need to take the time, and putin the work involved in masteringeach subject. It can bechallenging work, but the power ofchanging your grade (for better orfor worse) is in your hands.

    Now go study!

    Ms. BrayELA/History Teacher

    Hola MSA6 Tigers!

he end of the fall semester is fast approaching. You will be taking your final exams before winterreak. Final Exams do not have to be difficult ifou study. Use your study guide to prepare forour finals. If you do not understand a conceptr how to solve a problem this is the time to ask

    your teachers.

is a good idea to start studying for finals as soonas possible. Make flashcards if you need to

memorize vocabulary or formulas. Practice mathroblems, and concentrate on the problems thatre more difficult for you to solve.

When you study at home find a quiet place totudy with enough light and away from distractionsuch as your cell phone. Study every day. Studyuring the day, before going to bed, and when youre in the car. In addition, you can study with youriends. Learning with friends in study groups is anffective way to prepare for your tests. It is anfficient way to master the skills you will be tested on.

You can use your study guides and flashcards toest each other. The night before your test go toed early and eat a healthy breakfast before goingo school. This will help you to stay focused and belert during the test. And lastly, remember all thisard work will pay off!

ave a safe and happy holiday. Wishing you andour family peace and happiness in the new year.

    njoy your winter break.

students learn more when they work witheach other! Start working with your friends

after school or even on the weekends.Remember, you have many resources tohelp you. You have your notes, your

book, and the internet! If you need moreguidance, use websites such asKhanacademy.com or even youtube.com.

The internet is your friend when it comes tostudying.

    keep in mind:

    1. Start by studying the most importaninformation first. Which lessons didyou spend the most time working oWhat are some reoccurring themesover the weeks?

    2. Summarize important ideas from yonotes. There will be a lot ofinformation in your notes. Simplifyyour notes by summarizing them.

    Hello MSA-6 Tigers,

The first semester is coming to an end andhat means that it is time for finals. Finals are

worth a percentage of a student's overall first

emester grade so it is imperative that everytudent prepare for their exams.

Here are some study strategies that I suggest:Find the right study space, create and studywith flashcards, review previous quizzes, ssignments, papers, and labs to pinpoint

where you've had trouble in the course, creatend answer your own test questions, andtudy in small chunks of time when possible.

hope everyone has a wonderful winter break. Please, remember to keep your minds active

ver the holidays. See everyone next year!!!
