2014 FALL NEWSLETTER

Mark your calendars!Operation Christmas

Child Shoe Box Campaign is

November 16—23. This mission

demonstrates God’s love in a tangible way

to needy children around the world, and working together with

the local church worldwide, is able to

share the Good News of Jesus Christ. New Hope Christian Church

is proud to once again, be a collection site for this area. We will be hosting a

Sunday, December 14 at 9:30am, we will all

gather in the Worship Center for Vision Sunday.

As members, we will have the opportunity to

vote for the officers of New Hope for 2015. As

the family of New Hope ~ members, regular

attenders and visitors, we will learn more about

what is planned for New Hope Christian Church

in the year to come and beyond. Please mark

your calendars to share this hour with us, as a

church family, as we ask God to lead us.

Christmas Eve at New Hope

Christian Church

Please plan to bring your family and friends on

December 24, as we celebrate the birth of

Jesus. We will have two Christmas Eve services

at 5pm and 7pm. The services will be family

centered, singing Christmas carols and

choruses, a Scripture-centered devotion with a

Kidz Worship presentation. We look forward to

enjoying this time with you and yours!

December Dates to Remember

MISSION SUNDAY—

WHAT IS FAITH PROMISE?

IT IS A PROMISE TO GOD—A promise to

give a specific amount to missions through

the missionary program of New Hope

Christian Church.

IT IS A PROMISE THAT REQUIRES FAITH—

You must believe that without Jesus Christ

a person is lost. (John 14:6; Acts 4:12)

You must believe that we are responsible

for sharing the message about Jesus Christ.

(Matthew 18-20) You must trust God to

supply the material resources that will

enable us to carry out His Great

Commission. (Zachariah 4:5)

IT IS A PERSONAL COMMITMENT BETWEEN

YOU AND THE LORD—No one but the Lord

will know what you have promised to give.

No names are required.

IT IS A BLESSING—Accepting the challenge

to reach the lost will lead you to a closer

walk with the Lord as you trust Him to do

more through your life. (Acts 20:35)

On Sunday, November 9, we will have the

opportunity to make our promise to give

towards missions in the coming year.

Sunday, November 23 at Noon ~

Our annual celebration of

the harvest will be

immediately following the

2nd service on Sunday,

November 23 in

Fellowship Hall. The ham, rolls, drinks and

table service will be provided. Last names

beginning with A-J, please bring a salad

AND dessert. Last names beginning with

K-Z, please bring a vegetable AND dessert.

Make plans now for this celebration of all

that God has provided!

Community Outreach Opportunities

The Caring Center is in need of food and volunteers! Here are the immediate needs for November and if you can help

them with stocking shelves, sorting donated items, or volunteering at Classic Reruns, please call #765-482-2020 (Caring Center) or #765-894-6772 (Classic Reruns).

Cake Mix, Canned food-all kinds, Cereal, Crackers, Ensure, Fruit, Jello, Juice, Mac & Cheese, Noodles, Peanut Butter, Potatoes, Pudding Mix, Spaghetti Sauce, Baby Formula, Diapers, Holiday foods

THANK YOU for your generous donations to our recent food drive to help re-stock their shelves!

There is always a need of willing hearts and hands to volunteer assisting with furniture deliveries,

and answering phones. Additionally, they have several neighbors that could use a little extra help with raking leaves, cleaning gutters etc. which would be a great family time of serving! Contact April Wilson at Love INC offices, #765-482-6152.

The Lebanon Community of Shalom serves Lebanon and Boone County. Shalom provides a hot meal to those in need on Tuesday evenings and on Saturdays at 11am. Different groups prepare and serve the meal and encourage those that visit

sharing Christian love. They also provide the Shalom Kids Sack Lunch Program, making sure all kids, still have food when school is on break. In 2013, 4,877 children benefit-ted from this program. They currently have about 12 sites around Boone County where these lunches can be picked up, when school is out. You can call the New Hope Office at 317-769-3647 to work with a group from here, or call Lisa Williams at Shalom House, #765-891-9065.

Children’s Ministry

Student Ministry

Kidz Worship will be helping pack the shoeboxes dropped off during the collection week of Operation Christmas Child. Our Packing/Pizza/Ice Cream Party is Sunday, November 23 from 5-7pm. We will count and place the smaller boxes into large boxes and load them into a trailer. Once the work is completed, everyone enjoys pizza and ice cream to finish up a fun evening.

If you are interested in becoming involved in Children’s Ministry, please contact Liz Dale in the church office as we have a need for volunteers. If you don’t want to work a particular Sunday, we can always put you on the substitute list. To volunteer, we ask that you fill out the paperwork for a background check. We also need extra people to serve at the doors for security. Thank you for helping to serve our children and keeping them safe.

November 5, 12, 19 at Lamb Farms in the Barn. Thanksgiving Feast will be on the 19th. There will be no one80 on the 26th.

December one80’s will move back to NHCC with our Christmas party on the 17th.
