Our English teacher Tuija asked us and four students in our group said yes. As a matter of fact we first did not know why she asked, and what was the purpose of all this. Then Tuija explained that it is part of a project, Mobile 50 +-, and we said yes again.

After that we took part in a short course of writing a blog by using WordPress.

We started to write blogs in January this year, 2013 Actually we don’t know even now why we did all that

blogging and created an E-book, but eventually it was a very nice and educational project.

Why we made the E-book?

At the end of April 2013 we took an intensive continuance course (4 lessons) on making an E-book. During this course our teacher Mikko Lehtinen said that it would be intresting to do two different versions of an E-book. Finally we did as our teacher said: Version 1: Heikki made this by WordPress Anthologize.

In this version there is possibility to sort writings as you wish Ebook does not look very good or it was too difficult for us make

good looking EBook Version 2: Marja made this by BlogBooker.

All blogwritigs are in chronologigal order; there are no possibility to change this order

Ebook looks better to the reader than the version 1 described here….

The E-book versions

Positive It was very easy to write stories Especially Matti and Marja were very eager writers We learned new skills We learned to know each other better

Negative It took very much time to write blog entries We got too little teaching on to how write blogs

and on how to make and to publish an E-book We were also dissatisfied with the quality of

teaching on how to create an E-book

The evaluation of the E-book process
