Victoria A. Yman Vien is a Chinese woman escaped by boat from Vietnam to America in 1978 from the communist regime. Ms. Vien worked for two community banks before joining American Metro in 1998. She took over as President and CEO of American Metro in March 2000 and within a year led the bank to post its first profit since being founded. She currently served as Chairman of the Board. Under her leadership, American Metro Bank has a commitment to provide financial services to underserved and unbanked immigrants to establish credit in this country. Along with her father, Mr. Duc Huang, Ms. Vien helped found the Chinese Mutual Aid Association (CMAA) in 1981. She continues her father’s vision of helping thousands of refugees and immigrants improve their lives.
