KMS’s digital HORNET High-5s & “Strike” SystemsHORNET High-5s are digital. Check your inbox throughout this semester for possible #HH5 emailscelebrating students “caught doing good.” We will also continue to implement our “strike” system atKMS. This program is non-disciplinary but helps students correct poor behaviors or choices. The“Stike” system also helps us to better inform parents of poor student behaviors while working withstudents to remediate these behaviors before they become more severe or frequent. Both of theseprograms hope to create better lines of communication between students, staff, and parents andhelp celebrate or correct behaviors through open and honest discussions.

KMS Homework Tracker...● ...is where teachers are regularly updating homework assignments and due dates for

upcoming projects, tests, and quizzes.● ...is a tool to help parents and students more effectively keep track of work on a

nightly/weekly basis● ...is NOT a replacement for student accountability or the end-all-be-all in what is required of

students. Students SHOULD BE encouraged to keep track of their individual assignmentsand requirements as expectations can and will change at times for their class

● ...does allow you to look back over time (as previous weeks have been archived for yourconvenience)
