DEPARTMENT OF ECE:

ABOUT DEPARTMENT:

The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering

was established in the year 2004 with an intake of 120. The

department has well-equipped laboratories and committed and

experienced faculty members.

Ever since its inception, the department has been imparting

quality education to the students. It has been organizing guest

lectures by eminent speakers from industry and prestigious

institutes to equip the students with the latest technologies and

make them globally competitive. The department has a student

technical association, which organizes events such as paper

presentations, hardware exhibitions, technical quizzes, etc. to

improve technical and soft skills of the students.

The department has reasonably good placement and higher

studies record. A good number of students have been placed in

various MNCs and have completed their master‟s degree in

India and abroad.

VISION:

The Vision of Department of Electronics and Communication

Engineering is to create a forum, where we can deliver quality

education to the students to gain specialization in the area of

electronics and communication in order to make them as innovators

and researchers.

MISSION:

To develop the problem solving and analytical skill of the students

in the field of basic science and engineering.

To create a platform that motivates exploration and creativity of

the students to become an intensive researcher in the field of

Electronics and communication engineering.

To impart the qualities to the students to become a successful

group member and professional achiever in their specialized

domain.

To develop the students to enhance their multi-disciplinary skills.

To inculcate the virtue of social responsibility and professional

ethics.

The department of ECE organized a Guest lecture on

“APPLICATION OF ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS AND

DEVICES” by Mr. M. Sundararajan, F.I.E Senior Executive

Engineer Vellore on 16.8.2012.

The department of ECE organized a Guest lecture on “RECENT

TRENDS IN VLSI AND ITS APPLICATIONS” by Mr. S.

Balamurugan, Asst. Professor, VIT Vellore on 16.2.2013.
