Select the tab titled Job Search Tools. Then select Manage My e-Portfolio. Once on that page, follow these instructions: Step 1 – Create Your Personal Home Page This step provides four options: 1) Banner Message; 2) Intro Paragraph; 3) Your Photo; and 4) Contact Information. Click the “Public” or “Private” buttons to make all or none of the information in Step 1 visible on the e-Portfolio. Banner Message: Click on “Banner Message” to type in a short message or quote that will appear in the header of the e-Portfolio. Click “Save” to finish and return to the My e-Portfolio page. Intro Paragraph: Click on “Intro Paragraph” to type in one or two paragraphs that will appear on the home page of the e-Portfolio. Use the box provided to type in the message and use the formatting options. Click “Save” to finish and return to the My e-Portfolio page. Your Photo: Click on “Your Photo” to upload a photo or image that will appear on the home page of the e-Portfolio. Use the Manage My Documents and Images to upload the appropriate file. Contact Information: Use the buttons to determine which contact information you want to appear on the home page of your e-Portfolio. Step 2 – Add Your Résumé This step provides three options: 1) Use Existing Résumé; 2) Upload Résumé; and 3) Create New Résumé. Use Existing Résumé: Click on “Use Existing Résumé” to type in an optional introductory paragraph for the résumé and select the appropriate résumé from the Résumés list. Be sure to make the cover letter public for it to appear within the e-Portfolio. Click “Save” to finish and return to the My e-Portfolio page. Upload Résumé: Click on “Upload Résumé” to upload a résumé from your computer. Once the résumé is uploaded, return to the “My e-Portfolio” page and click on “Use Existing Résumé” under Step 2 to add the new résumé to the e-Portfolio. Create New Résumé: Click on “Create New Résumé” to access the Résumé Builder and begin building a résumé. Once the résumé is completed, return to the “My e-Portfolio” page and click on “Use Existing Résumé” under Step 2 to add the new résumé to the e-Portfolio.

Instructions for Creating a Personal e-Portfolio in Kuder Journey

Step 3 – Add Other SectionsThis step allows users to add other sections such as information about certifications, work samples, or a list of references. Click on the “Add Section” button to add a section. For each section, create a title, write an introductory paragraph, and upload an appropriate file. Click “Save” to finish and return to the My e-Portfolio page. Repeat for as many sections as you decided to add.

Step 4 – Add a Cover LetterThis step provides three options: 1) Use Existing Cover Letter; 2) Upload Cover Letter; and 3) Create New Cover Letter.

• Use Existing Cover Letter: Click on “Use Existing Cover Letter” to select the appropriate cover letter from the Cover Letters list. Be sure to make the cover letter as public for it to appear within the e-Portfolio. Click “Save” to finish and return to the My e-Portfolio page.

• Upload Cover Letter: Click on “Upload Cover Letter” to upload a cover letter from your computer. Once the cover letter is uploaded, return to the “My e-Portfolio” page and click on “Use Existing Cover Letter” under Step 4 to add the new cover letter to the e-Portfolio.

• Create New Cover Letter: Click on “Create New Cover Letter” to access the Cover Letter Writer and begin writing a cover letter. Once the cover letter is completed, return to the “My e-Portfolio” page and click on “Use Existing Cover Letter” under Step 4 to add the new cover letter to the e-Portfolio.

Step 5 –Release e-Portfolio for Public ViewingThis step provides two options: 1) Preview; and 2) Publish as well as provide the personal e-Portfolio web address.

• Preview: Click on the “Preview” button to preview the e-Portfolio before making it public for review by others.

• Update: Click on the “Update” button to retrieve the Personal e-Portfolio Web Address for the first time or to publish any changes to the web address that have been made to the e-Portfolio.

• Personal e-Portfolio Web Address: Use this unique URL to share your e-Portfolio with postsecondary institutions, prospective employers, and others that you want to view it.
