Avengers Annual #7 / Marvel Two-In-One Annual #2 (1977): When the Mad Titan Thanos threatens the universe, Warlock joins super-beings in battling him; though his body is killed, Warlock’s soul ultimately defeats Thanos.The Infi nity Gauntlet #1-6 (1991) / Warlock and the Infi nity Watch #1-2 (1992): Resurrected to oppose Thanos after the Titan gains godlike powers via the collected Infi nity Stones, Warlock leads an army of heroes to oppose him. Warlock later claims the Gauntlet, but soon relinquishes its power and bequeaths each gem to his handpicked protectors, the Infi nity Watch; Warlock retains the Soul Stone. Infi nity War #1-6 (1992) / Infi nity Crusade #1-6 (1993): While all-powerful, Warlock subconsciously purged himself of all aspects of good and evil; both aspects assume physical forms and subsequently return to threaten the universe as the Goddess and Magus, respectively.Annihilation: Conquest #1-6 (2007-2008) / Guardians of the Galaxy #1 (2008): A newly reborn Warlock aids several cosmic heroes in defeating the Ultron-led techno-organic Phalanx, then joins the Guardians of the Galaxy led by Star-Lord (Peter Quill).
