ApplicationHiTEC® 521 antiwear hydraulic additive is a premium package designed to meet or exceed the performance requirements of all major hydraulic equipment manufacturers and industry organization specifications. It is designed for the requirements of today’s modern hydraulic high pressure pumps and systems. In a finished hydraulic fluid, HiTEC® 521 has the capability to provide performance reserve, leading to long oil and filter life and ensuring unsurpassed equipment protection.

Recommended Dosage The recommended treat rate for HiTEC® 521 is 0.85% by weight. Higher and lower doses may also be used depending on the required performance claims and the base oil. Please contact your Afton Chemical representative for specific recommendations.

In addition, HiTEC® 521 may be used to formulate multigrade hydraulic oils for use in the mobile sector where pressures tend to be higher and temperature variations greater than often seen in industrial facilities. A suitable viscosity index improver such as HiTEC® 5785B PMA VII must be used in order to formulate such fluids.
