Things to know when you check a transcript31 CREDITS to graduate unless they are a transfer student (email me

transfer student names and I will send you what they need)

• 1.5 Fine Arts- when you look to the right side of the transcript you will

be able to see these listed under Fine Arts

• 1.0 Practical Arts- when you look to the right side of the transcript you

will be able to see these listed under Practical Arts

• 0.5 Personal Finance-when you look to the right of the transcript this

will be listed by itself under Personal Finance.

• 0.5 Health- when you look to the right of the transcript this will be listed

by itself under Health

• 1.5 PE- when you look to the right of the transcript this will be listed

under Physical Education

• 4.0 English-when you look to the right these will be listed under English

• 3.0 Science- when you look to the right these will be listed under

Science

Page 7: Head Principal - Dr. Raines- Introductions€¦ · Core Areas TBHS Regular TBHS Gold Scholar English 4 4 Social Studies 3 4 Math 3 4 Science 3 4 Practical Arts 1 1 Personal Finance

Things to know when you check a transcript

• 3.0 Social Studies- when you look to the right these will be listed under

Social Studies

• *EVERY student needs a full year 1.0 of AMERICAN HISTORY

• *EVERY student needs to have passed AMERICAN GOVERNMENT

• *EVERY student needs to pass both the Missouri and US

Constitution test you will find these to the right under all of the

credits and each test will list PASSED or be blank; if it is blank they

still need to complete this to graduate

• 3.0 Math- when you look to the right these will be listed under Math

• Once core credits are met anything the student takes outside of those

makes up for elective credits.

ELECTIVE CREDITS can be earned by anything

Page 8: Head Principal - Dr. Raines- Introductions€¦ · Core Areas TBHS Regular TBHS Gold Scholar English 4 4 Social Studies 3 4 Math 3 4 Science 3 4 Practical Arts 1 1 Personal Finance

Things to know when you check a transcript

Example- John has earned his 3.0 credits in Math but wants to take it his

Senior year to have 4.0 credits of Math. That fourth year will use 1.0 credits

from his electives but still be listed under Math to reflect the type of class

he actually took.

What Does the Asterisk Mean?

When looking at the transcript if you see a *this indicates a course the

student is currently taking but has not received credit for until semester. If

the student knows they will pass this course then that credit can be

deducted from that subject area and the total needed credits to graduate.

IF that subject area requirements have already been met then that credit

will be used to deduct credits listed under the electives area and then

would also be deducted from the total number of credits needed.
