On average americans spend 2.7 hours per day on their mobile device. Thats twice the amount of time they spend eating, and 1/3 of the time they spend sleeping.

91% of americans use mobile internet to socialize compared to 79% on desk tops.

4 billion mobile phones in use, 1.08 billion are smartphones and a whopping 3.05 billion are SMS enabled.

When styling your mobile site, stick to relative units — percentages, ems and so forth. There is no way to predict what mobile devices your users are using today or might be using tomorrow.
