Film and print advert analysis We had to make a print and a TV advert for Persil. We researched for the product on the internet also we looked at different print advert for Persil and also TV advert for Persil, the group also researched for the different techniques that can be use in ideas list. We looked the previous print advert and tv advert to generate the ideas. For print advert the group did their own print advert for persil. The advertising technique that group use is called nurture because the teddy is a caring product for children and play with the teddy get dirty so the kids take care of their teddy by washing it with persil. It’s a child appealing and paternal technique. For the video advert the group use the same technique First of all we made a story board for our action plan. For pre- production the group created the ideas. The ideas of Persil includes; advertising techniques- problem/solution, emotion, celebrity endorsement, personification, promise a benefit, and nurture. In a group there were four people, they created their own Persil ideas. After the ideas the group did story board and present with pictures and description what is the story. After story board; the group did the schedules and after schedules the group did the pitch for persil. One was a director/team leader, other one was a camera man, and the rest two (the child) were in the advert in front of the camera. The production was that when the group went for filming and and two people acted in it and one of the group member holding the camera. For the post production one of the group member did video editing. The ad was good and people will convince because in the ad there was a child who was smiling and it’s a good appealing to buy a persil for child toy to make them happy.

Film and print advert analysis

If group gets second chance the group will present better idea for Persil and present better advert. Also better story board and more develop things and make better story.

As a group had not much problems, only the problem was keep delaying the shooting because of people absent and can’t decide when to shoot and the technical problem did occur during the production but the group managed it for e.g. hard to find the work that saved on the computer and sometime didn’t saved and sometimes computer gets hacked and lost the worked.

The group learnt some new software how to use the photo shop and learnt advertising techniques.

In the story board there were pictures with description

Here is the first story board that the group did in this there is a turtle below there is a description in every box that is below the picture. Also there is a washing machine in this story board. Although in story board with every picture there is a shot description. The first picture of a turtle; the shot is close up, then is washing machine the shot is wide shot and lastly the mid shot.

The second paper of the story board is the boy with the turtle.

The boy is smiling, holding turtle and taking to the washing machine. The shot description; the first picture of the boy taking the turtle to the washing machine is the mid shot, and second one is the boy holding the turtle is the mid shot again and the turtle is a close up shot.

The third part of the story board, the boy playing with his teddy and saying that he love his toy

The first picture is showing that Persil stuffed toy and the shot description is a mid-shot and the second one is the boy saying that he love his toy and this a mid-shot again and lastly the boy playing with his toy; lastly the teddy is a close up shot.

The final part of the story board is that boy’s toy gets dirty and mum washes his teddy with Persil

As you’re seeing this story board shows the toy gets dirty and mum put the boy’s toy in the washing machine and wash

with Persil. Thus the Persil makes the teddy clean.

The shot description; the first shot is a close up of a teddy gets dirty, second one is mum taking the teddy to the washing machine is a wide shot and finally the toy is clean this now is a mid-shot.

After the story board the group planned the schedules

the group did schedules sheets too for the pre-production. For the pre-production the group had to find the location for the shooting. After the schedule dates the group did a pitch for persil advert
