Analysing a film advert;

The Haribo star mix advert had mainly used dull and disinteresting colours, and had used the settings of an office therefore the actors wore a business attire. The producers had showed the bland shades through business attire and the surroundings of an office, using colours such as; greys, whites, blacks and creams. This implies that an adult’s life is boring without the product they are promoting suggesting the product brings out the adults inner child, due to the actors developing a child’s voice within the advert. Also it shows that the sweets can be enjoyed at any age. Although this hasn’t got anything to do with thrillers it had given me plenty of ideas on how by using children actors it brings out the maternal and paternal side to people. Also it gave experience in analysing certain clips regarding deeper meaning and helped me gather a few thoughts on how I could include hidden messages and aims to my thriller.

The sweet packet is the only pop of colour that is represented in this shot, suggesting that the sweets bring out the fun side in every situation and everybody even adults

The Bear shows the originality within the product, it also presents a friendly side that audience can warm to.

The posture that the actors convey show that this is a formal and serious working environment.

The setting of a clear background suggests that they have no imagination or creativity without the sweets.

As soon as the sweets are within their presence they become outgoing and trivial suggesting the sweets are powerful.

Within the advert there was a close up shot of a heart sweet with the saying of “I like the hearts because they make me feel loved” this entails that the haribo star mix sweets gives love and makes people feel important.

The clear background proposes that the love that the haribo’s give is emphasised and is portrayed as one of the main messages.
