The groundwater samples collected for this project arrived at the laboratory intact and within temperature with the following exceptions: o Field personnel did not relinquish the samples listed on Lancaster COC 84889 to the

laboratory with a signature as required. o Field personnel did not sign Lancaster COCs 84888, 84895-96 upon receipt of the bottles in

the "Bottles Received by" box as required. He inadvertently signed on the line below the "Bottles Received by" box.

o The person who signed all of the Lancaster chains-of-custody (COCs) upon receipt of the bottles did not relinquish the bottles to the sampler with a signature as required.

o Equipment blank KIN-K-EQBLK-3 is listed on Lancaster COC 84943 but Lancaster did not receive the sample for analysis.

Significant QC Findings/Comments Overall the data is acceptable for use without qualification. None of the data is considered unusable. Some of the data is estimated due to blank contamination, low matrix spike and/or matrix spike duplicate recoveries, and results reported between the method detection limit (MDL) and practical quantitation limit (PQL ). The DDR Narrative Report lists the qualified samples and the reasons for qualification.

L--------------------------------· --···

DuPont In-House Review (DDR)

The DDR is an automated internal review process used by the ADQM group to determine if the data is usable. The data is run through this automated program where a series of checks are performed on the data. The data is evaluated against hold time criteria, checked for blank contamination, assessed against matrix spike(MS)/matrix spike duplicate (MSD) recoveries, assessed against relative percent differences (RPDs) between these samples, assessed against laboratory control sample(LCS)/control sample duplicate (LCSD) recoveries, assessed against RPDs between these samples, assessed against RPDs between laboratory replicates, and assessed against surrogate spike recoveries. The DDR applies the following data qualifiers to analysis results, as warranted:

Qualifier Definition B Not detected substantially above the level reported in the laboratory

or field blanks. R Unusable result. Analyte may or may not be present in the sample.

J Analyte present. Reported value may not be accurate or precise. UJ Not detected. Reporting limit may not be accurate or precise.

Lancaster Laboratories Qualifiers

The laboratory may have applied one or more of the following data qualifiers to analysis results, as warranted:

J Estimated value; result falls between method detection limit (mdl) and practical quantitation limit(pql).

u Analyte was not detected at the specified reporting limit

These lab qualifiers are applied independent of DuPont In-House Data Review (DDR) qualifiers.

The groundwater samples collected for this project arrived at the laboratory intact and within temperature with the following exceptions: • Field personnel did not include the date and time of collection on Lancaster COCs 88954 and

89252 for sample KIN-K-TBLK-1 as required. Since these are required fields for the Envista database, laboratory personnel entered the earliest date and time of collection ofthe associated samples as the date and time of collection of the trip blank samples.

Significant OC Findings/Comments Overall the data is acceptable for use without qualification. None of the data is considered unusable. Some of the data is estimated due to blank contamination, poor matrix spike and/or matrix spike duplicate recoveries, imprecision between the matrix spike and matrix spike duplicate samples and results reported between the method detection limit (MDL) and practical quantitation limit (PQL). The DDR Narrative Report lists the qualified samples and the reasons for qualification.

The reported results for total organic halogen (TOX) in samples KIN-G-MW-17A and KIN-GMW-17A-DUP may be biased high. The second column determinations were greater than 10% of the sum of the two column determinations for the TOX analysis.

Zinc was detected in the method blank associated with the samples in this project at a concentration of 0.0334 mg/L. Due to the 72-hour prep hold time, the laboratory was unable to redigest the samples. Therefore some of the samples were flagged with a "B" in the database due to method blank contamination.

Kelly A. Rinehimer 11/18/05

DuPont In-House Review (DDR)

The DDR is an automated in temal review process used by the ADQM group to determine if the data is usable.

J Estimated value; result falls between method detection limit (mdl) and practical quantitation limit (pql).

u Analyte was not detected at the specified reporting limit

These lab qualifiers are applied independent of DuPont In-House Data Review (DDR) qualifiers.
