1. NZ honey exports have grown at a 30% compound rate for the past
decade, reaching US$70m in 2010.
2. Exports strong in Europe (UK and Germany) and Asia
3.Manuka honey is the most expensive honey in the world, driving the
growth of the whole NZ honey industry
4. Active manuka honey has scientifically proven health properties
5.The activity of manuka honey is unique to NZ*, creating defensible
barrier to competition
