EQUIPMENT HIGHLIGHTSAUTOMOTIVE:Learn the traits of a car doctor with our state-of-the-art servicing equipment – the best the industry has to offer.

11

EQUIPMENT HIGHLIGHTS

common Rail SyStem SimulatoR

Understand the operation of a diesel engine that is equipped with a common rail direct injection system, which most modern diesel cars are equipped with. Students will be exposed to various engine conditions that pertain to common rail direct injection that simulate real life engine operating conditions, perform circuit connections on CRDI engines and also perform testing and diagnosis to give them a better understanding of the modern diesel engine.

honda JaZZ SimulatoR

This real life electronic fuel injection engine simulator of a Honda Jazz was designed to simulate the various operating conditions of an engine. Students will also get to test and troubleshoot problems in actual EFI engines.

5 GaS eXhauSt GaS analySeR

This analyser accurately adjusts the emission requirements of the required country regulations and students can analyse the combustion of the air and fuel mixture that leaves the combustion chamber of the engine through the tail pipe of the car and carry out the necessary adjustments, if required.

headlamp aliGnment

Accurately sets the car’s head lamp focus to avoid guessing while working on the alignment of the headlamps.

can-buS technoloGy

Students will learn the operating principles, functions and diagnosis capabilities of CAN-BUS systems that most modern cars are equipped with.

autotRonicS

Provides students with a better understanding of auto electricity and electronics, and where they will learn the foundation of auto electricity, as well as electromagnetism. Students will also use this laboratory for their advance subjects, such as CAN-BUS and oscilloscope interpretation.

caR body electRical wiRinG SyStem

This ‘real life’ car electrical equipment simulator was designed for the students to effectively understand the flow of current that enables the electrical components to work before applying their learning to an actual car.

boSch bRake Fluid teSteR

Accurately tests the capability of brake fluid, and is used when carrying out brake system diagnosis on the car.

common Rail inJectoR teSteR

Used to carry out engine diagnosis, this machine tests the operations of a diesel engine equipped with Common Rail Direct Injection technology, particularly the injectors.

motRonic eFi SimulatoR

This type of Electronic Fuel Injection was designed to effectively diagnose the operations and functions of an EFI engine made and designed in Europe. It simulates various engine operating conditions, which ensures the diagnosis is more accurate and effective.

MOTORSPORTS:Tune yourself for a life-changing career in motorsports by handling the latest motorsport equipment in the industry.

12

EQUIPMENT HIGHLIGHTS

13

EQUIPMENT HIGHLIGHTS

4 wheel dynamometeR with RetaRdeR

This 4 wheel dynamometer from Dynojet uses an eddy current to power the drums and is equipped with a retarder to simulate various road conditions. This is best used for tuning the car and diagnosing any symptoms that the car is experiencing.

SupeR Flowbench

Understand the volumetric flow of air that enters and exits the cylinder head ports, with an accurate analysis of the air intake and exhaust. It also identifies how much horsepower the components that are being tested will produce.

wiReleSS weiGhinG Scale

Accurately weighs the car before, during and after each race, and is used to distribute the weight of the car evenly.

SolidwoRkS SoFtwaRe

This software is used by motorsports students for auto body and components designing, following which they learn how to assemble and test the strength of materials used in their designs, using the software to analyse the aerodynamics of their designs.

cnc lathe machine

The lathe is controlled electronically via a computer menu style interface that is capable of fast cycle times, producing simple parts in 10-15 seconds, which makes it ideal for large production runs of small diameter parts. Students use this machine to ensure their competency in the industry after their studies at TOC.

motec SimulatoR

This simulator, designed by MoTeC, is connected to any PC or laptop, and gives a better understanding of the engine management system to ensure that any concern of damage to the car will be avoided whilst testing the Engine Management System components before.

endoScope

Accurately diagnoses the internal components of an engine without having the need to disassemble it. Students are exposed to various types of engine internal conditions using this equipment.

boSch wheel aliGnment machine

This Bosch machine, assisted by a four (4) post hoist to lift the vehicle, teaches students to understand the concepts of wheel alignment and the preparations that need to be done before setting up the machine. Regular maintenance by Bosch service representatives ensures that it is in kept in excellent working condition.

laSeR wheel aliGnment

Measures and adjusts the wheel alignment of the car quickly and accurately, especially during a race scenario, which eliminates the use of the traditional string wheel alignment.

cnc millinG machine

This electronically operated machine can perform a vast number of complex operations, such as slot and keyway cutting, planing, drilling, die sinking, rebating, routing, plus many more functions. Students use this machine to make them competent to current industry standards.

Wow, I really feel like I need to thank TOC for giving me the skills and knowledge that allowed me to work for Lamborghini right after graduation. After 4 years of valuable experience, I now have my own business.

It was a great experience studying in TOC and is still one that I cherish. The consistency of the instructors in supporting us whenever we needed help have prepared me well in facing everyday challenges at work.

TOC taught me how to survive in a ‘man’s world’ and to stand right next to them.

The reason TOC was founded made a lasting impression on me, as it recognises the need for trained and qualified staff in the automotive industry in Malaysia. I still believe that TOC was the first and still the best automotive college we have in Malaysia!

I wasn’t one for reading, but at TOC it was different as I found myself reading about the things I like and always wanted to know about. The lessons I learnt at TOC gave me a strong foundation while remaining relevant and practical.
