as a company to prevent people from
paying for follows or using bots for likes
and comments...hence the dreaded
algorithm that I'm SURE you've heard
about!! If we were to boil it all down to
two things...consistency and genuinely
engaging are the most important things
when it comes to growing your following.

A NOTE ABOUT APPS
01: THE API
Instagram has limited the companies that
are a part of the API because of this we
recommend that you delete these apps
from your phone and disconnect all
unapproved apps from your Instagram
account. Here's how you do that:
02: GET RID OF UNAPPROVED APPS
Follow these instructions:
- Log in to instagram.com on a desktop
computer
- Click your username and select "Edit
Profile" next to your username
- Click on "Authorized Applications" in the
side menu
- Find the application you want to revoke
access for in the list (you may have
multiple)
- Click the "Revoke Access" button under
all unauthorized apps
03: FIND APPROVED APPS
Check out the list and make sure that
you're using apps that are approved

I cannot tell you how important genuinely
engaging with people is for Instagram.
Before the algorithm Instagram worked
on very much a celebrity culture. In each
genre there were the rising stars and
those that followed them became their
“fans”. Instagram’s algorithm change
means that they reward those who
engage and those that want to hold on to
their celebrity culture need to pay to keep
it! It’s no longer a “us and them”
mentality, people want to feel like
you care and that you are there for them.
Engaging with our Instagram following
has been super important to me since day
one, I do not consider our followers
"fans", but friends....it was never a growth
strategy but it has proven to be fruitful.
Responding to comments, DMs and re-
grams is SO important. The Instagram
culture is all about connecting to other
real life people and building that
connection requires you to open up more
of your life to those that follow you.

posts!
Our challenge to you is to post a Story
TODAY...if you've never talked on camera
before and feel nervous. Start slow by
talking off camera and Storying other
things, then in a few days take a Story of
your face. Don't be shy and just GO FOR IT!
Once you've gotten used to posting Stories
of you talking to camera, start posting
more often.
The next challenge is to set a timer on your
phone to go off every 2 hours and when
that alarm goes off, post a story. Feel free
to mix it up with talking, boomerangs or
even dancing if your feeling super brave!
