วารสารคริสเตียนสงเคราะหฯฉบับที่ 2 ของปนี้ ขอกลาวสวัสดีอีกครั้งและนับ เปนชวงเวลาแหงความชื่นชมยินดี สิ่งแรกคือ สถานรับเลี้ยงเด็กอิมมานูเอล ที่ครบรอบ 32 ปแลวและไดขยายงานใหมไปสูบานสรรเสริญ ความยินดีอยางที่สองคือ แผนกฯ ไดผูรวมงานใหมทั้ง 3 คนที่เขามารวมปรนนิบัติรับใชในพันธกิจบานพระคุณ, พัฒนาครอบครัว และพันธกจิศูนยกําลังใจ สวนพันธกิจผูสูงอายุไดจัดงานวันผูสูงอายุ ซึ่งไดใหมีการรดน้ําดําหัวตามประเพณีปใหมไทย นอกจากนั้นผูอานจะไดทราบขาวสารความเคลื่อนไหวการดําเนินงานของพันธกิจตางๆ ซึ่งทุกพันธกิจลวนตอบสนองความตองการของบุคคลทุกเพศทุกวัยที่ประสบปญหาในสังคม โดยการรวมมือ

กับคริสตจักรทองถิ่น สถานประกาศ และแผนกอื่น ๆ ภายในสภาคริสตจกัรลูเธอรแรนฯ เราขอตอนรับคณะกรรมาธิการแผนกฯ ชุดใหม ซึ่งประกอบดวย 1) อาจารยวันดี วจนะถาวรชัย ประธานฯ, 2) อาจารยโยฮัน ตระกูลมีสุข รองประธานฯ, 3) ศาสนาจารยประพันธ ณ เชียงใหม กรรมาธิการฯ, 4) อาจารยสุดาจิต สอนพันธุ กรรมาธิการฯ, 5) คุณศรีพรรณ อะโนชัย กรรมาธิการฯ, 6) ผูอํานวยการแผนกฯ เลขาฯ ซึ่งบุคคลเหลานี้จะเปนผูกํากับดูแลงานของแผนกครสิเตียนสงเคราะหฯ ที่จะปฏิบัติตามหลักการของแผนกฯ ที่มี วันเวลาผานไปอยางรวดเร็ว อีกไมนานก็จะสิ้นป 2009 คริสเตียนถูกเรียกใหรับใชเพื่อนบานดวยความรัก โดยการแสดงออก

ดวยการกระทํา ซึ่งเปนการประกาศอาณาจักรของพระเจา และแสดงถึงการเปนบุตรของพระองค ซึ่งเปนสิ่งที่ทาทายเรามากในสถานการณและปญหาสังคมปจจุบัน เราลองกลับมาทบทวนดูวาวันเวลาที่ผานไปมีก่ีครั้งที่เราจะแสดงความรักและใหการชวยเหลือกับคนหนึ่งคนใดโดยไมหวังผลตอบแทน ดังเชน พระธรรมยอหน บทที่ 15 ขอที่ 13 ไดกลาวไววา “ไมมีผูใดมีความรักที่ยิ่งใหญกวานี้ คือการที่ผูหนึ่งผูใดจะสละชีวิตของตนเพื่อมิตรสหาย”

Greetings from Director

Greetings again from Lutheran Diakonia Department. On this sec-ond issue of the year, it is a pleas-ure that Immanuel Day Nursery celebrated its 32nd year anniversary with a newly-established branch, the Home of Praise. We are also happy to introduce three new staff members coming to work for God in Home of Grace, Family Devel-opment Project and the AIDS Sup-port Center. Besides, the Ministry among Elderly People held Senior Day, where there were watering and blessing to the senior citizens as in the Thai tradition. Apart from that, you will be informed with news on the operation of different ministries to meet the needs of people of all ages and all groups, who have social problems, with the cooperation of the local con-gregations, preaching places, and other ministries under the Evan-gelical Lutheran Church of Thai-land. We would like to welcome the new Board of Directors which in-

cludes 1) Evt. Wandee Wajanatha-wornchai, Chairman, 2) Evt. Yo-han Trakoonmeesuk, Vice-Chairman, 3) Rev. Prapan Na Chiang Mai, member, 4) Evt. Su-dajit Sornpan, member, 5) Ms. Sriphan Anochai, member, and 6) Director of the Department, Secre-tary. The Board will manage the work of the Lutheran Diakonia De-partment under the principles of the Department. The time goes so fast and we are coming to the end of 2009. Chris-tians are being called to serve our neighbours with love through the deeds, which is a way of present-ing the Kingdom of God. Also, we are called to show our status as children of the God, which is a challenge for us in the current so-cial situations with various prob-lems. We can review times when

we show the love and provide help to a person without hoping for a return, as in John 15:13, “Greater love has no-one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.” Yours in Christ,

“ขอบคุณพระเจาที่ทรงนํา ใหดิฉันมาทํางานกับพันธกิจศูนยกําลังใจเปนเวลา 2 เดือนกวาแลวดิฉันยินดีและหวังเปนอยางยิ่งวาจะเปนสวนหนึ่งของการพัฒนางานและพัฒนาศักย ภาพของผูรับบริการ ผานกิจกรรมใหมๆ ที่พันธกิจไดกําหนดไว กอนนี้เคยมีประสบ การณงานตางๆ เชน เด็กและเยาวชน งานดานสิ่งแวดลอม และการมีสวนรวมในการเรงรดันโยบายรัฐเรื่องการเขาถึงการเรียนฟรีของเด็ก ไทยกลุมชาติพันธภาคเหนือตอนบน คุณพอถือวาจุดเริ่มตนของแรงบัน ดาลใจที่กาวเขามาทํางานดานพัฒนาคือ ดิฉันเติบโตมากับครอบครัวผูรับใชและงานพัฒนา บอยครั้งที่พอพาดิฉันไปทํางานดวย ไมวาจะเปนคายเขมรอพยพ งานกอสรางตอทอประปาภูเขาในปา หรือในพื้นที่ของชนกลุมนอย พอทําใหฉันเรียนรูงานจากประสบการณจริง และ ซึมซับวาเปนสวนหนึ่งในชีวิตและครอบครัวของเรา พอบอกบอยครั้งวา แมวาเราจะไปทํางานที่อื่น แตทายที่สุดเราควรกลับมาพัฒนาบานเกิดของเรา เราเคยไดรับโอกาสอยางไร ก็ไมลืมที่จะกลับมาทํางานกับพี่นองชาวเขาและ ใชพระพรที่พระเจาใหแตละคนอยางเต็มที่และถูกตอง” นางสาวโญริสา ยอดคีรี กลาว

“ปาเองอายุก็มากแลว 53 ป มีลูกสาวคนเดียว นองเกสร ทองนอก เรียนอยูช้ัน ป.6 โรงรียนวัดดานสําโรง เคยทํางานเปนแมบานต้ังแตสมัยคาจางเดือนละ 100 บาท สุดทายบั้นปลายชีวิตก็ยังไดมาทํางานแมบานอีก ไมเคยคิดไมเคยฝนดวยซ้ําวาจะไดทํางานที่บานพระคุณ พระเจาทรงนําฉัน รูสึกดีใจและภูมิใจอยางบอกไมถูกจริงๆ ที่ไดมีโอกาสปรนนิบัติรับใชพระเจา” “เคยพบคนมีปญหาที่โรงงานมาก็มาก ตอนนี้มาอยูรวมกันกับผูรับบริการที่จิตใจยอมแตกตางกัน ไดสัมผัสกับความรูสึก นึกคิดของผูรับบริการที่มีปญหามาอาศัยอยูก็พยายามทําหนาที่ของตนใหดีที่สุด” “รูสึกเห็นคุณคาในตนเองมากยิ่งขึ้น ขอบคุณพระเจาที่พระองคทรงนําและทรงจัด เตรียมการปรนนิบัติรับใชพระองคอยางแท จริง มาอยูตรงนี้แมวาเปนสวนเล็กนอย แตภูมิใจที่มีสวนในการชวยเหลือนองๆ ผูรับ บริการ ตัวปาเองก็ตองเขาใจและรับฟงความคิดเห็นของนองทุกคน พยายามไมสรางปญหาใหกับนองๆ และจะพยายามดูแลบานพระคุณใหสะอาดที่สุด” นางไสว ทองนอก กลาวอยางตื้นตันใจ

“ดิฉันเปนมิชช่ันนารีนอรเว สามีฉันช่ือคุณอัสตัน โรเจอร เรามีลูกดวยกัน 2 คนคือ ไอดา มาเรีย อายุ 9 ขวบ และนองอะเดลิน อายุ 7 ขวบ ฉันเรียนจบปริญญาตรีดานสังคมสงเคราะหศาสตร มหาวิทยาลัยสตารเวิงเยอ เมื่อป 1996 ฉันเคยทํางานกับ องคกรคุมครองเด็กและครอบครัว โดยใชหลักสูตร “Marte meo” คือใชวีดีโอเปนสื่อสําหรับการอบรม มาเปนมิชช่ันนารีที่ประเทศไทยเมื่อป 2007 หลังจากเรียนภาษาไทย 1 ปครึ่งก็ไดเริ่มทํางานกับพันธกิจพัฒนาครอบครัวในป 2009 ” “ดิฉันทํางานกับพันธกิจพัฒนาครอบครัวที่จังหวัดมุกดาหาร 4 เดือนแลวและมีความหวังวาอยากชวยพอแมเด็กทุนที่ยากจนไมมีงานทํา เพราะถาเราชวยพอแมมีงานทํา เขาก็จะมีรายได ทําใหเขามีความภูมิใจมากถาเขาสามารถรับผิดชอบตนเองได ดิฉันหวังวาจะทํางานใหดีมากที่สุดเทาที่จะมากได แตขณะเดียวกันการพูดและเขาใจภาษาไทยของฉันยังมีปญหาอยู เพราะคนทองถิ่นอิสานสวนมากพูดภาษาอีสานมาก กวาภาษาไทย ซึ่งบางคําเขาใจ บางครั้งก็ไมเขาใจเลย” นางอัสทริ เวมดัล กลาว

“Thanks the Lord for leading me to work with the AIDS Support Center. I have worked here for over two months and I hope so much that I can take a part in the development of ca-pacities of beneficiaries through new activities operated by the Center. Be-fore coming here, I have had different experiences like working with chil-dren and youth, working for the envi-ronment, and taking part in advocacy of the free schooling policy for Thai ethnic children in the upnorth . I think that my father has given me the first motivation to enter the devel-opment work. I have grown up in the family of God’s servants working for the development. My father often brought me along in his work, whether it was refugee camps for Khmer migrants, or installation of water supply systems in mountainous forests or in areas of minority people. Going with my father, I could learn from real doing. The experiences have become a part of my life and my fam-ily. My father often says although we may go to work in other places, time will come when we should come back to develop the place of birth. As we have got the chance, we should come back to work with the hill tribe people and use the God’s gift efficiently and correctly in the way of God.” Miss Yorisa Yodkhiri said.

“I am 53 years old already. I only have a daughter named Kesorn Thongnok. She is now studying at high school Mor 2 level in Dan Sam-rong Temple. I came to work as a house-keeper in Bangkok at the time my monthly wage was only 100 baths a month. At the moment I am still a house-keeper, but I have never thought, even have never dreamed, that I would work in Home of Grace. God has led the way really. I feel un-explainably pleased and proud now that I can serve the Lord. I used to work in factories and stayed with various people with different thinking. Therefore, I can sense the feelings and the thinking of women who experience problems and come to stay here. I will try my best to do my work. I feel I am worthy. Thank God for leading me and preparing a work for me to really serve Him. Although working here is just a small part, I am proud that I can help those young women. I will also try to listen and understand their feelings, try not to create problems for them, and try to keep the building tidy as much as I can.” Mrs. Sawai Thongnork said delight-edly.

“I am a Norwegian missionary. My husband’s name is Atle Mydland. We have two daughters, namely Ida Maria, 9 years old, and Adelin 7 years old. I finished my bachelor degree of Social Work from Sta-vanger University in 1996. Then I worked with the Children and Fam-ily Protection Organization where I used “Marte meo” method which is using video as materials for training. I came to Thailand as a missionary in 2007. After I learned Thai language for one and a half year, I started work with the Family Development Ministry in 2009. I have worked with the Family De-velopment Ministry for four months in Mukdahan Province. I hope to help poor unemployed parents of scholarship children, because if we help the parents to be employed, they will have an income. They will be proud if they can support themselves. I will try to work as well as I can. However, my speaking and under-standing of Thai language is still problematic, because the local Isarn people tend to speak Isarn language more than Thai. I understand only some words.” Mrs. Astrid said with hope.

ขาวสารจากพันธกิจผูสูงอายุในรอบหกเดือนที่ผานมาพันธกิจไดออกเยี่ยมเยียนหนุนใจ ชวยเหลือคาครองชีพผูสูงอายุตามชุมชนทั้ ง ในกรุ ง เทพฯและต า ง จั งห วัด นอกจากนั้นก็ยังไดมอบของใชสวนตัวหรืออาหารใหกับผูสูงอายุที่ขัดสน ในหกเดือนที่ผานมา เจาหนาที่ไดไปเยี่ยมเยียนผูสูงอายุจํานวน 42คน ไดชวยเหลือคาครองชีพเปนจํานวน 15คน และชวยเหลือในโอกาสงานศพ เมื่อวันที่ 9-10 มีนาคม 2009 เจาหนาที่ไดเขารวมสัมมนา “ครอบครัวคริสเตียน” ณ พระคริสตธรรมลูเธอร วันที่ 30-31 มีนาคม 2009ไดเยี่ยมเยียนผูสูงอายุที่จังหวัดระยอง(พ่ีนองที่ยายไปจากเขต4) วันที่ 7 เมษายน พันธกิจผูสูงอายุไดจัดกิจกรรมวันผูสูงอายุในชุมชนชลประทานจํานวน 43คน เพื่อสืบสานประเพณีรดน้ําดําหัวขอพรผูสูงวัย ใหกําลังใจ ใหความรัก ความหวงใย กับผูสูงอายุในชุมชน บรรยากาศในวันนั้นเต็มไปดวยความชุมฉ่ํา ผูสูงอายุมีรอยยิ้มแหงความสุขที่ไดพบปะกัน ไดทํากิจกรรมรวมกัน เชน ไดรองเพลง ไดออกกําลังกาย

ณ คริสตจักรบานบุ ระหวางการเดินทางจากอุบลฯ ไปบานบุนั้น ไดพูดคุยกันเกี่ยวกับการจัดกิจกรรมที่นั่น ศจ.แกว โทวันนัง ศิษยาภิบาลคริสตจักรขาวดีอุบลฯไดเอยขึ้นมาวา “เมื่อเราไปถึงที่บานบุ เราอาจจะตองใชลามแปลภาษา” สิ่งที่ ศจ.แกว ไดกลาวเอาไวก็เปนจริง คือ ผูสูงอายุที่นั้นสวนมากพูดภาษาเขมร ซึ่งเปนภาษาทองถิ่น จึงฟงภาษาไทยไมเข าใจ อ .สุทิน สมพร ผูประกาศประจํ าคริสตจักรบานบุ จึงตองชวยแปลใหจึงไดเขาใจ การจัดกิจกรรมที่บานบุนั้นเหมือนกับวาเราไดไปจัดกิจกรรมที่ตางประเทศจริงๆ ผูสูงอายุใหความรวมมือและเปนกันเองดีมาก ถึงแมวาบางคําผูสูงอายุอาจฟงไมเขาใจ แตทุกคนก็สนุกสนานกับการรองเพลง กิจกรรมการออกกําลังกาย และการเลนเกมสนันทนาการ ทุกคนเอาจริง เอาจั งกับกิจกรรมที่ ไดทํ ารวมกัน สิ่งที่พวกเราประทับใจมากที่สุดคือ ผูใหญบานไดรวมทํากิจกรรมกับพวกเราจนเสร็จสิ้น โดยมีผูเขารวมกิจกรรมจํานวน 61คน และยังมีอีกหลายแหงที่อยากจะใหพันธกิจผูสูงอายุเขาไปจัดกิจกรรม

ไดรับฟงความหมายของวันผูสูงอายุจากผูอํานวยการแผนกคริสเตียนสงเคราะห อ.เลนา เฮลเล มีการเลนเกมสทายภาพ กอนจากกันไดมอบของขวัญใหผูสูงอายุทุกคนและรวมรับประทานอาหารรวมกัน และในวันที่ 19 พฤษภาคม ไดจัดกิจกรรมรวมกับคริสตจักรและสถานประกาศในเขต4 ที่คริสตจักรฟา หวนมีผูสูงอายุเขารวมกิจกรรมจํานวน 118 คน งานครั้งนี้ เต็มไปดวยความอบอุนและรอยยิ้มแหงความสุข ยังมีกิจกรรมหนึ่งที่ เราประทับใจมากเพราะอะไรรูไหม? บอกเลยแลวกัน คือเมื่อวันที่ 20-21 พฤษภาคม ที่ผานมาทีมพันธกิจผูสูงอายุไดไปจัดกิจกรรมสําหรบผูสูงอายุ ดิฉันขอบคุณพระเจาสําหรับพันธกิจฯนี้ที่ดิฉันไดมีสวนรวมในการรับใชและไดชวยเหลือผูสูงอายุผานทางพันธกิจฯไดแบงเบาภาระผูดอยโอกาส ขอพระเจาอวยพระพรทานและครอบครัวที่ไดอธิษฐานเผื่อผูสูงอายุ...

กลุมผูสูงอายุจํานวน 36 คนที่มารวมกิจกรรมเนื่องในวันผูสูงอายุ ณ คริสตจักรขาวดีอุบุลฯ จ.อุบลฯ โดย ศจ.แกว โทวันนัง ศิษยาภิบาลคริสตจักรขาวดีใหการตอนรับและดูแลเปนอยางด ี

For the last six months, the ministry has visited, given encouragement and supported a part of the daily living costs for the elderly people in differ-ent communities in Bangkok and other provinces. Apart from that, aged people who are in need have also been provided with food and items for per-sonal use. For the last six month, 42 elderly people have been visited, 15 have been provided with some money for daily use, and various jobs such as help in funerals have been done. On 9 and 10 March, the ministry staff par-ticipated in the seminar “Christian Families” at Luther Seminary of Thai-land. On 30 and 31 March, we visited an elderly member who moved to Rayong province from Zone 4. On 7 April, Senior Day was organized for the continuing of the tradition water-ing and blessing the elderly in Cholprathan. 43 elderly people in the

community were given encourage-ment, love, and concern. The day was full of joyous and happy smiles as the old people could gather and do activi-ties such as singing, doing physical exercising, and listening to the mean-ing of Senior Day. The Director of Lutheran Diakonia Department, Leena Helle held a picture guessing game. Before leaving, the elderly were given presents and shared a meal together. On 19 May, there was an-other event with churches and preach-ing places in Region 4 at Phahuan Congregation. 118 elderly people joined the event. The event was full of warmth and smiles of happiness. Another event which we are im-pressed was on the 20 and 21 May at Banbu Congregation. There were some language differences which made it like in a foreign country for us.

However, the elderly cooperated so well that everybody still enjoyed the singing and physical exercising. The elderly were serious about the games. It was the most impressive that the village headman joined the activities until the last minute. 61 elderly people participated the event. A number of churches have requested us to organ-ize such events in their churches. I would like to thank God form the ministry where I can do God’s servant work to help the elderly people. This allows me to share the burden for the underprivileged people. May God bless you for praying for the elderly.

“สถานรับเลี้ยงเด็กอิมมานูเอล กอต้ังเมื่อป 2520 เปดใหบริการกับชุมชนตางๆ ในเขตคลองเตยมานานกวา 32 ป โดยรับเด็กอายุต้ังแต 2 ขวบครึ่งถึง 6 ป มี 4 ช้ันเรียนดวยกัน ใหบริการตั้งแตวันจันทรถึงวันศุกรแบบเชาเย็นกลับ ต้ังแตเวลา 07.30 น จนกระทั่งเวลา15:30 น มีรถตูบริการรับสง ปจจุบันมีผูรวมงานรวมกันทั้งสองแหง ประกอบดวยครูใหญ คุณครู พนักงานบัญชี แมบาน แมครัว พนักงานขับรถรับสงนักเรียน รวมทั้งสิ้น 16 คน สวนคาเลาเรียนที่นี้ก็ถูกมากปกติเพียงเดือนละ 800 บาท/คน และคาเลาเรียนแบบสงเคราะหเพียงเดือนละ 200,300, และ500 บาท หรือจายแบบรายวันก็ได วันละ 10-20 บาทตามกําลัง คุณครูทํางานอาชีพครูมา 28 ปแลว ภูมิใจมากที่ไดทํางานอาชีพนี้ กวาจะมาถึงจุดนี้ไดก็เริ่มจากครูผูชวย ดีใจที่พระเจาทรงใชเรา มีความสุข ชอบอยูกับเด็กๆ อยูกับเด็กทําใหเราสบายใจและมีความสุข” นางชมนาด กลาว นอกจากนั้นแลว ครูใหญยังกลาวถึงเคล็ดลับการบริหาร การดูแลคุณครูผูรวมงานวา “เราทํางานรวมกันแบบครอบครัวของพระเจา มีอะไรก็พูดคุยกันเสมือนเปนญาติพ่ีนอง และยังกลาวถึงจุดเดนของการใหบริการที่ทําใหไดรับความไววางใจจากผูปกครองและนําบุตรหลานมาฝากเลี้ยงวา เราอาศัยความใกลชิดสนิทสนม ระหวางครูกับเด็กๆ เราดูแลเด็กๆ ทุกคนเหมือนลูกเราจริงๆ จุดนี้เองที่ทําใหผูปกครองมั่นใจใหการยอมรับในการบริการของเรา” ครูชมนาด กลาวทิ้งทายดวยความยินดี ตอมาในป 2002 สถานรับเลี้ยงเด็กฯ ไดขยายพันธกิจเพิ่มใหมอีกหนึ่งแหงคือ บานสรรเสริญ ซึ่งบริเวณนั้นรายลอมดวยชุมชนแออัด หลายครอบครัวมีฐานะยากจน

และมีความตองการการดูแลเด็ก จึงจําเปนตองเปดสถานรับเลี้ยงเด็กที่นั่นอีก ครั้งแรกเริ่มรับเด็กมาดูแลเพียง 5- 10 คนเทานั้น แตปจจุบันนี้ สถานรับเลี้ยงเด็กฯ สามารถรับดูแลเด็กไดถึง 35 คน เด็กสวนใหญมาจากชุมชนนองใหม และบริเวณชุมชนใกลเคียงอื่นๆ ในเขตคลองเตย เปดบริการรับเลี้ยงดู อบรมและพัฒนาเด็กใหมีพัฒนาการที่ดี ทั้ง 4 ดาน รับเด็กตั้งแตอายุ 6 เดือนถึง 3 ป ประกอบดวยหองดูแลเด็ก 2 หอง คือ หองเด็กเล็กและหองเด็กโต หองเรียนเด็กเล็กสําหรับเด็กอายุต้ังแต 6 เดือน- 1 ขวบ มีเด็กจํานวน 6-7 คน มีครูผูดูแล 2 คนดวยกัน สวนหองเรียนเด็กโตสําหรับเด็กอายุต้ังแต 2 ขวบจนถึง 3 ขวบ มีเด็กจํานวน 26 คน มีครูผูดูแล 3 คน นอกจากนี้ยังมีแมบาน แมครัวและครูอาสาสมัครจากมิชช่ันนอรเวย ผลัดเปลี่ยนกันมาชวยดูแลเด็กเปนประจํา 2-3 คน ตอเทอม มี การจัดการเรียนการสอนเด็กผานกิจกรรม การ

เลน การทํากิจกรรมตางๆ มีหนวยการเรียนการสอนตลอดป แบงชวงการเรียนเปน 2 เทอม ทําตามตารางกิจกรรมที่จัดไวโดยมุงพัฒนาเด็กทุกๆ ดาน มีรถตูบริการรับสงเด็ก ตารางเวลาการจัดกิจกรรมของเด็กเหมือนกันกับสถานรับเลี้ยงเด็กอิมมานูเอลฯ ทุกอยาง เด็กบานสรรเสริญตางกันตรงที่ไมไดสวมชุดฟอรมสีแดง แตสวมใสชุดทั่วไปหรือตามที่บานสรรเสริญจัดใหใสมาเรียน สวนในคาใชจายก็เรียกเก็บกับผูปกครองเด็กวันละ 10 บาท(ตามวันที่เด็กมาเรียน) นอกจากนี้ไมมีคาใชจายอื่นอีก ผูปกครองสวนใหญประกอบอาชีพรับจางทั่วไปซึ่งมีรายไดไมแนนอน บางครอบครัวมีปญหาและขาดประสบการณการเลี้ยงดูบุตร เลี้ยงดูเด็กไมถูกตอง ขาดการดูแลเอาใจใส และอยูในชุมชนที่ตองเผชิญกับปญหายาเสพติด นับเปนงานที่มีคุณคาที่จะชวยบรรเทาความเดือดรอนของครอบครัวผูมีรายไดนอยในชุมชนอยางแทจริง

Immanuel Day Nursery, established in 1977, has served different communi-ties in Khongtoei District for 32 years by receiving children from 2 years old to 6 years old. 4 classes are operated from Monday to Friday from 7.30 to 15.30 with a school bus to pick up the children. At the moment there are 10 employees including 6 teachers, an accountant, a house-keeper, a cook, and a driver. The fee for normal chil-dren is only 800 baths and the fee for children under social work project is 200, 300, and 500 baths a month or 10 to 20 baths a day. “I have worked as a teacher for 28 years. I started as an assistant teacher. I am very proud of doing this job I am pleased that God has used me. I am happy to be with the children.” Besides that, the Head Master also talked about the secret in the admini-stration of 10 more employees, “We work together in the way of God’s family. When someone has a problem, we talk together like between relatives or family members.” She also talked about the strong point of the service that helps to gain the trust of the par-ents in sending their children to the nursery. “We maintain the intimacy between the teachers and the children. We take care of all the children as they are our own children. This is the point that makes the parents rely our ser-vices." Mrs. Chommanad said with pleasure. Then Home of Praise was opened in 2002. The new day nursery is located in a slum area where there are many poor families, with a high need of tak-ing care of children. From the beginning number of 5 to 10 children, Home of Praise now takes care of 32 children from 6 months old to 3 years old from the Nongmai Com-munity in Klongtoei to develop them at all the 4 fields. There are two classes, one of which is for children from 6 month to 1 year, with 2 nannies and 6 to 7 children; the other is for older children with 3 teachers. There is one house keeper and always 2 or 3

volunteers from Norway who come in short term successively. The educa-tional activities for children include different games. Daily schedule for activities are planned for the whole year. A school year is divided into two terms for child development of all the fields. The picking up and sending children, the timetable, the activities and the parents are under the similar system of Immanuel Day Nursery. The only different is Home of Praise chil-dren do not wear the uniform which is provided by the nursery, but wear or-dinary clothes. The parents pay the fee of 10 baths for each day. Apart from that the parents don’t have to pay any more. The parents of those children mostly work with hireling, or other uncertain jobs. Some have family problem; some have few experiences in bringing up, educating, and caring children. Furthermore, these children stay in an unhealthy and risky community, espe-cially with drug. Mrs. Chanarat Oiwan, Leader of Home of Grace Ministry reported on the progress of the expansion of the kitchen in Home of Grace from Janu-ary to March, “We thanks God that Finnish Christian have donated for the building of the kitchen. We have pulled down the wall between Maria and Martha rooms to make one room. Besides, we have repaired and painted all the three buildings of Home of Grace. Now we have a more spacious, more beautiful and cleaner kitchen. I hope that we can welcome visitors in

the time to come. Please pray for us in this Home of Grace, too.” The reason for the repair work in Home of Grace is because the build-ing has been deteriorated and worn out with the pain falling off and the kitchen is too cramped. The total cost is 1,303,303.25 baths.

In the afternoon of 1 August, Mrs. Paivi, a Finnish supporter of Family Development Project together with Samrong Congregation staff and the project staff visited a scholarship boy from Samrong Congregation Thirapol Chaitonthuoc who has now moved to Chonbury Province. The supporter has bought him a bicycle for encour-aging his schooling. She told us, “I like him to choose what he needs on his own. When he chose a bicycle, I

was very pleased. I hope that he can study to higher level.” Thirapol said, “The old bicycle has been collapsed, so I’d like a new one. I am so pleased to have this new bicycle. I would like to thank the supporter who bought the bicycle. I promise to take good care of the bicycle. When I use the bike to go to school, I will lock it with a chain to keep it safe.”

First, we lifted the bedroom up to avoid the flood from rain water. On August 8. we repaired the toilet. It was cooperation between Ruam-praporn Congregation and Ministry for the Elderly. The total cost of mate-rials was 7,500 baths, of which 5,000 baths was supported by the Ministry for the Elderly, the rest 2,500 baths was given by Ruampraporn Congre-gation. Somkhid, the house owner who is an elderly widow, said, “Previously, I couldn’t sleep due to the flood when it rained. Now I can

sleep easily and go to the toilet com-fortably because I have new good bedroom and bathroom. Thanks the church for giving help. I wouldn’t have been able to do this alone.”

เมื่อวันที่ 1 ส.ค คุณไปวี่ ชาวฟนแลนด เปนผูอุปการะเด็กทุนพันธกิจพัฒนาครอบครัว พรอมกับผูรับใชคริสตจักรสําโรงและเจาหนาที่พัฒนาครอบครัว ไดเดินทางไปเยี่ยมเด็กชายธีระพล ไชยตนเทือก เด็กทุนคริสตจักรสําโรง ที่ยายไปอยูจังหวัดชลบุรี และผูอุปการะไดซื้อจักรยานให 1 คันเพื่อใหกําลังใจในการศึกษาเลาเรยีน ผูอุปการะไดกลาววา “ดิฉันอยากใหลูกเลือกเองวาเขาตองการอะไร เมื่อเขาอยากไดจักรยานดิฉันก็ดีใจ และอยากชวยเขาเรียนตอใหสูงขึ้นคะ” สวน ด.ช ธีระพล ยังไดแสดงความรูสึกวา “บังเอิญจักรยานคันเกามันพังแลว ผมจึงอยากไดคันใหม ผมดีใจมากที่ไดจักรยานคันใหมนี้ ผมขอขอบคุณแมอุปการะที่ซื้อจักรยานใหผม ผมจะดแูลจักรยานใหดี และปนไปโรงเรียนทุกวัน ผมจะล็อคโซจักรยานทุกครั้งปองกันขโมย”

พันธกิจศูนยกําลังใจเตรียมจัดงาน “วันเอดสโลก” เพื่อประชาสัมพันธงานใหเปนที่รูจักแกชุมชน ภายในงานประกอบดวยซุมกิจกรรมตางๆ เพื่อใหประชาชนไดรับทราบขอมูล ขาวสารงานดานเอดส งานบริการชุมชน และชมการแสดงโดยงานจะมีจัดในวันที่ 29 พ.ย. นี้ณ คริสตจักรลาดพราว กรุงเทพฯ งานเริ่มต้ังแตเวลา 15.00 น เปนตนไป นอกจากนี้ยังขอเชิญทุกๆ ทานเขารวมกิจกรรมเพื่อไปเยี่ยมชมงานการดูแลผูปวยเอดส ณ วัดพระบาทน้ําพุ จ.สระบุรี กิจกรรมจะจัดในตนเดือนพฤศจิกายน โดยรถบัสจะออกจากสํานักงาน

นางนันทวัน แซต้ัง (Mrs. Nuntawan Sae-tang) รองผูอํานวยการแผนกคริสเตียนสงเคราะหฯ เปดเผยวา “แมวาในเดือนเมษายนป 2008 คณะกรรมการสภาฯ ไดมีมติรับรองในหลักการและงบประมาณโครงการกอสรางหอพักชายบานอิมมานูเอล ซึ่งเปนอาคารสูง 2 ช้ัน ความจุนักเรียนชาย 18 คน โดยคาดวาจะใชงบประมาณกอสรางทั้งสิ้นรวม 2,400,000 บาท (สองลานสี่แสนบาทถวน) นั้น แตบัดนี้ยังไมสามารถดําเนินการกอสรางได ซึ่งยังอยูในขั้นตอนการเขียนแบบพิมพเขียว และขออนุญาตกอสรางจากเทศบาลอําเภอพิบูลมังสาหาร อีกทั้งยังไมมีงบประมาณการกอสราง ดังนั้นจึงขอเชิญชวนทุกทานรวมถวายสมทบทุนเพื่อกอสรางหอพักชายบานอิมมานเูอล”

สาเหตุที่มีโครงการกอสรางหอพักชายขึ้นนั้น ก็เพื่อเปนไปตามระเบียบ พ.ร.บ. หอพัก พ.ศ. 2507 ซึ่งจําเปนตองแยกระหวางหอพักชายและหอพักหญิงใหเปนสัดสวน อีกทั้งเพื่อที่จะสามารถดูแลเด็กนักเรียนดานตาง ๆ ไดอยางทั่วถึง และเพื่อปองกันปญหาตาง ๆ ที่จะเกิดขึ้นกับนักเรียนทั้งชายและหญิงดวย

Mrs. Nuntawan Sae-tang, Vice-Director of Lutheran Diakonia De-partment said, “ELCT Committee has approved the proposal and budget of the construction project of Boy’s Im-manuel Hostel, which will be a 2-floor building and capable to shelter 18 boy students. It is estimated that the total cost will be THB 2,400,000 (two million four hundred Thai baths). However, we haven’t been

able to start the construction because it is still under the process of detail designing and asking for construc-tion permission from the Phibun Manghasan sub-district municipal government. We also haven’t raised enough finance for the construction. Therefore, we would like to call for donation to build the Boys’ Imman-uel Hostel.” The reason for the construction pro-ject is for complying with the stipu-lation in the Royal Act of Hostel 1964, which says it is necessary to separate the boy and girl hostels, as well as totake care of the students in various aspects thoroughly and to prevent various problems which may happen between the boy and girl stu-dents.

AIDS Support Center will organize the “World AIDS Days” so that the ministry will be known to the commu-nities. There will be both activities to provide the people with information and news related to HIV/AIDS, ser-vices to the community and shadow performance. The event will be organ-ized on 29 November 2009 from

15.00 at Ladphrao Congregation area.
